Enter keyboard symbol percentage

How can I enter a % (percent sign) on the numeric keypad on an all-in-one Deskjet 4645?

The WiFi network that I am trying to connect to requires a % (percent sign)

Hello Arthur_B-ZA,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand you are trying to enter a percentage symbol when you configure your network wireless using the Deskjet 4645. I will do my best to help you! Unfortunately, you can not press this symbol on your printer. I'll give three methods to connect to this printer:

You can install this software on your computer, then use HP auto connect wireless:

  1. When you install the software, select the wireless connection
  2. Select Yes, send my wireless to the printer settings , and then click Next .
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation of the software and the printer wireless network.

You can install the software using a USB cable, and then convert USB wireless:

  1. During the installation of the software, select USB connection
  2. Once the software is finished, follow this document to Convert USB to connect wireless HP

You can change the password wireless which is compatible with the symbols of printers, and then use the Wireless Setup Wizard.

Please post your results, I will be looking forward to hear from your part, have a great day!

How, in any case, using my normal posting German keyboard, enter for example: n (without switching to the Spanish keyboard for assignment)?

    Is it possible?

If you have proposed notebook on the German market, you will get it with windows on the language German and German keyboard.

Of course, you can change the keyboard input language and set it to Spanish.
Open Control Panel > region and language > language and keyboard.

If you want to use the Spanish language only to delete all installed services and add Spanish only.

You can also use Spanish and German, but set Spanish as the default input language. It's your choice.

Welcome to the HP community @Marshliz,

I understand you are trying to enter a special character in your wifi password to connect your HP Officejet 4632. I'll be happy to help you.

There are a few different options to connect your printer to a wireless network. If you use the Setup Wizard from the control panel wireless, there is a virtual keyboard that appears on the screen and you may have to navigate through the different menus for the lowercase, uppercase letters and symbols. Below, I've posted a link to a document that has some instructions on how to configure your wireless printer. Please try all the steps in order and get back to me with the results.
  • Satellite Pro M10 keyboard symbol Transposition in MS products

I just had my hard drive replaced and now a lot of symbols e.g. physical keyboard @£ ' # are converted when I type in MS Word and other MS products, BUT this IS NOT the case when I type here.» Any ideas on how I can fix this?

    Hello

Do you have the same keyboard layout that you had before the replacement?
Generally, all signs can be converted due to bad keyboard or keyboard wrong language settings.

Go to the regional & language options in the control panel.
He chose the language and details tab.
Now you should see the default input language and keyboard settings.
Change to the right of your keyboard

For example: maybe you have a UK keyboard and the settings are in the United States.

  • HP Pavilion Elite keyboard symbols stop working correctly

Pretty weird, but incredibly annoying problem!  The hard drive on my HP Pavilion crashed a month or there while it was still under warranty so I took it in the Future Shop to fix.  When I got it after they have installed a new hard drive for some of the keys on the keyboard displays stop symbols appropriate after a few minutes (in particular the []------'; keys), among other problems.   It drives me crazy because I'm a writer and I use these keys all the time.  It is not only on documents Word - it's also in emails, so I know that it is not only a word problem, or it least it seems to be, but generally it doesn't seem to be mainly in Word and emails.  I had to reinstall all my programs when I got the computer back, so I'm also working with a new installation of Word.  I tried all the regular solutions - check the settings of keyboard and the region etc.  All seem good.

The HP now displays caution Microsoft 7 isn't a real construction.  Since Windows OEM, I don't have a disk for it.  I tried to solve this problem and read somewhere that Microsoft caused diabolically things to stop working after a while if the generation is not authentic.

Maybe the keyboard problem related to this?  I'm willing to spend a little money, to buy a new keyboard, all it takes to fix.  I'll be a little PO would be if I have to buy another copy of Windows, but less expensive than buying a new computer!

I hesitate to take over the computer at Future Shop because I already did once, and they had no solution.  Very very bad service.  I'll be wary of their warranty service in the future.  If I take to anyone, it will be my computer guy of reliable neighborhood - but it does of course.

Any suggestions would be mucho appreciated.

I use a Dell laptop in my keyboard, the number 2 button also shows the symbol of the letter 2 @.
    So if I SHIFT + 2 key, I get @.

What are displayed on your key number 2?
    Your kyboard layout is different?

I have the same thing you do.
But I'm in the USA, I have a U.S. keyboard, and my software is configured to
    a U.S. keyboard.

You, apparently, are the United Kingdom (or countries with the same
(keyboard), have a UK keyboard, but can also be programmed to a U.S. keyboard.

You must change the setting. Go to the control panel
    | Region and language. Click the keyboards and languages tab and then
Change keyboards. Choose the correct keyboard (UK).

  • The keyboard on the Windows Media Center screen does not appear when I hit the enter keyboard key!

I searched through the internet trying to find a solution to this annoying problem: after change to enter the registry and the application of the value entered for showOskOnKeyboardEnter under MCE. PerUserSettings, I always have problems serious on-screen keyboard to appear by using the key "Enter" on the keyboard.  I managed only a couple of times to get the OSK to appear among the dozens of attempts, however, I am unable to recreate the actions - is absolutely not stable.  The only area that reacts to the 'Enter' key is looking for music.  All the fields in the section of Netflix and movies search fields are unresponsive.  Not even works tap triple function.  The only compatible and possible way to have the OSK appear is to double click on the field - that does not work given that the goal is to have an IR remote with the Media Center application interface.  The button 'OK' on the remote control is mapped to the Enter key (except if WMC has a key code value for the 'OK' button).  Help, please!

I had this problem and it was very frustrating.  The posted solution did not work for me initially.  What I've discovered, is that you have closed Media center before editing the registry.  If you change it while it is open it does not pick up the change and then save settings (i.e. with showOskOnKeyboardEnter = 0) when you close.

    Then...
    1 close Media Center.
    3. Open Media Center.
    Should work now.
  • Lost keyboard symbols

    Hello

My laptop is HP Pavilion G6-2302ax that i purchaced a few days before. The laptop is fine except a few typos. When I type '@' "(inverted coma) symbol gets typed and vice versa. The hash key is also misspelled as a symbol of "pound". My PC has 8 windows pre installed. There is no driver for this particular laptop model for download on the official site of HP. Then download and reinstall the updated drivers is also not possible. There is no virus attack, as I scanned the whole system with symantec antivirus. Widows 8 is also updated. If one can provide useful information. Help, please.

    Hello dipuab,

I see you have keyboard problems on your new computer from HP.

I think the issue may have to do with the keyboard. I have a video here that will show you how to check and change the keyboard language settings.

Follow the steps in the video and let me know what happens.

  • How should I enter the symbol ^.

The security key for my router has the symbol ^ in there. I can't find the right key combination to enter when seting on my J6450 wireless access.

I don't know, but another way to install it is by the software.  Download the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.  Choose the installation type 'Network' or 'Wireless' when it asks.

  • touch screen keyboard symbols does not properly

I bought recently an Asus transformer convertible portable book, which features a touchscreen removable "tablet" next to the keyboard. Most of the time I just use the screen without the keyboard as I have the touchscreen keyboard. I have windows 8 is installed.

The problem is that no matter when try to use the keyboard section and press a key, it acts as a regular keyboard that requires shift for me to press a button to get some symbols. Such as SHIFT, press 1 to get! and 2 to get @ etc.

This is a problem because there no way for me to 'shift' then that in this section, which means I have no way to use the majority of the symbols, unless I was to give the keyboard, which I won't do. It's the same with the? on the main screen to give me a / instead.

Someone else has this problem as well? Becomes more and more frustrating.

I searched for answers, the closest, I had was that it could be the UK keyboard, which is not, as I discovered, I have the English (Canada), I selected when setting up my computer.

The keyboard I used was the touch keyboard, similar to that on the picture of this Article:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/using-touch-keyboard

I tried also a lot of different things that I could think of to try to make it work, such as the SHIFT key, and then selecting the specific symbol, neither of which worked, moving to the symbols section and pressing one and also hold out the number or symbol that coincides with it.

Honestly I don't know what happened, but it seemed to have fixed itself after my computer up to date a little after I posted this. which is always strange, because it was updated several times before and the problem remains.

IM praying that the problem does not return, but I'm not keeping my hopes.

  • When submit 'Enter' keyboard is pressed...

    Greetings:

I have a request page where I point a single text and 3 buttons: 'Query', 'Clear' and 'Exit '. When a user enters a value in the text element and press "Query", the page is sent, and the results are returned. However, users want to be able to press the Enter key or return on the keyboard and make the page as if the "Query" button has been pressed. Someone knows how to set up?

    Thank you
    Stan

It is difficult to give a good answer, when all the conditions are not known.

OK - this place in the HTML of the page header:

    And to put this

    onkeypress="checkEnter(event);"

in the form HTML attributes of the element for the Popup LOV field. This will cause his do run checkEnter on any keypress, and if the keypress is code 13 (input button), he'll call doSubmit as if the user query button clicked.

    Hope this helps,
    John

  • symbols and puntuation of the keyboard do not work where they are supposed to

I have a sony laptop that came with a QWERTY keyboard. symbols and punctuation printed on most of the keys do not function, they have been defined to do. Is there any software to correct this. No matter who else if not encountered this problem with sony or other computers?

Go to control panel, region & language, change keyboards, keyboards & languages, tab general, select the correct keyboard or click Add... & first select it in the list [there is a preview button that can help you decide what keyboard to select].

Then go to the Panel control, region, language, keyboards & languages, change keyboards, language bar tab and, if you regularly change language settings, make the hidden language bar. I think you have touched a keyboard shortcut that has hired it & changed the region / language settings and therefore caused this problem.

Then go to control panel, region, language, keyboards & languages, change keyboards, advanced settings tab key where you can see the key sequence of shortened which probably you entered this problem by chance. You will also see the sequence of modifier keys that you want to change by clicking on the button sequence of modifier keys and by setting the input language switch & switch keyboard to not [when I changed them, I had to define not entitled for the switch input language and accept change, and then return to the dialog box to set no affect for the keyboard switch setting].
