  You are installing from another version or a version of Vista?  It is maybe you have the wrong keyboard. Go to start / Control Panel / regional and Language Options / keyboards and languages / keyboards change / make sure that the selection is correct for your location (and it includes the option of keyboard).  If this is not the case, check to see if your location is added.  If not, then add your location and do not forget to select the keyboard can change the default location to your location and click OK.  The keyboard should now work as expected (if I do not understand the @ and "switch in any language).  If this does not work, read on.

• Keyboard, keeping for Satellite M30X clip

  Anyone know where I can get a replacement retaining clip for a laptop keyboard? Its a small band of white plastic that fits into the connector of the keyboard ribbon cable to keep in place. It has two legs tiny ends which locate in the connector to secure it but one of my friends broke (due to having to have the socket repaired several times - it's a design on the M30X error).

  Also, I tried I said I want to buy a motherboard full, because the clip is not available separately, but that seems a little stupid - the part cost probably less than a can of coke on his own and I assumed it would be something that is easily damaged or lost if repairs are carried out.

  Has started last night, my 1 year 2 months old M5 suddenly started typing iiiii, almost as if the key had stuck to the bottom, but it is not physically stuck (that I can see). Problem persists even after a reboot. I hope it's just a 'stuck' key Anyone who has experienced / heard of this and can it be erased with a jet of air or is cleaning a keyboard off job (or even something more sinister like a virus checkers and firewalls to date and assets so)?
