    My company gave me a couple laptop years at home because the screen got busted (I'm the company IT Department.). So I use it as a Media Center with a monitor external 24 ".  I removed all applications except Media Center. It is used in the room, so look at a most is done while in his bed. Then when the "your system is not authentic" pop-up happens I just press the green button on the remote control and Media Center jumps forward. Problem solved temporarily. I did it for a year or more. But now I want to remedy.

    Now, this laptop was part of our area of work for a year or so and never complained of not being authentic. When I moved it to my original domain that he never complained. But sometimes in the last year or so he began to complain. System properties show that it is authentic. The MGADIAG.exe shows that it is authentic (see below)

    As long as you are certain that the enterprise MAK key is always good (your IT group so you should know if the key has been overused) download and install the latest drivers Intel IRST: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/sftwr-prod/imsm

    Restart then run another report of Diag and post in your response.

  • followed a WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus

    All,

    I'm watching a cluster (2 knots) WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (IBM), but I get mixed results.  I have two groups of modules that are very well monitored, however, there are two others who are not. the error I get is 'one or more modules of the SoaEndpointLookupModIID3758 application that is running on the server application.l12276 of cell BSE are not started.' but I see on the administration console that they actually work.  So, my questions are:

    1. Has anyone encountered a similar problem before?
    2. I looked at the document that told me the properties page for javaee surveillance (https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL62266) and can these settings be filter the other two groups?  the groups similar supplychain. , application. , support. , and

    The model only the problem is that both groups have massive amounts of alarms and the others are golden color.

    Thanks for the help in advance,

    Kaleb

    A new script was necessary to solve the problem.  We had to use the following to find out what the problem was.

    ===

    com.quest.common.log import. *;

    CAT = LogCategory.getInstance ("JavaEECartridge");

    AVAILABLE = "available";

    PRESUMED_UNAVAILABLE = "PresumedStopped";

    PRESUMED_AVAILABLE = "PresumedStarted";

    Not AVAILABLE = "not available";

    MODULES_STARTED = "modulesStarted";

    MODULES_TARGETED = "modulesTargeted";

    Check for blackout agent

    try {}

    agentID = scope.monitoringAgent?. agentID;

    If (agentID! = 0)

    {

    If (server ['AgentService'] .findById (agentID.toString ()) .getIsBlackedOut ())

    Returns a null value.

    }

    }

    catch (System.Exception e)

    {

    CAT.ignoreException ("WebSphereApplicationInstance.RuntimeState: could not check for agent blackout.", e);

    }

    try {}

    msObs = server.get("DataService").retrieveLatestValue (range, MODULES_STARTED);

    long freshnessTestInMin is registry ("WebSphere_ApplicationState_Freshness_Minutes");.

    No current value for 5 minutes, don't assume demand is declining.

    If ((msObs == null) |) ((currentEvalTime - () .getTime ()) msObs.getEndTime > freshnessTestInMin * 60000) {}

    Return PRESUMED_UNAVAILABLE;

    }

    If (msObs.getValue () .getMin ()! = scope.get (MODULES_TARGETED)) {}

    Return UNAVAILABLE + ":Target:"+scope.get(MODULES_TARGETED)+":Started:"+msObs.getValue().getMin();

    } else {}

    Return AVAILABLE + ":Target:"+scope.get(MODULES_TARGETED)+":Started:"+msObs.getValue().getMin();

    }

    } catch (Exception ex1) {}

    CAT.errorUnexpected ("Derived metric 'WebSphereApplicationInstance.RuntimeState' encountered an error during the evaluation." + ex1.toString ());

    Return PRESUMED_AVAILABLE;

    }

    ===

    the final solution was to adapt the script parameters derived by the following:

    ===

    Thank you for the information.  To correct the problem.  Please make the following change to the metric calculation derived.

    Of

    If (msObs.getValue () .getMin ()! = scope.get (MODULES_TARGETED)) {}

    TO

    If (msObs.getValue () .getMin)< scope.get(modules_targeted))="">

    Please save (2 save the keys to hit).  And once which is recorded, in the collection intervals then 1 or 2 (less than 5 minutes) you should start to see the State properly.  Please let me know if that solves the problem.

    ===

    After that we had to remove all java legecy objects by using the following script

    ===

    topSvc = server.get ("TopologyService");

    OBJS = #! WebSphereCell # .getTopologyObjects ();

    msg = new StringBuilder();

    CELLINPUT = "Cellnames";

    APPINPUT = "ApplicationName";

    for (obj in objs) {}

    Count = 0;

    Cellnames = obj.getName ();

    Msg. Append ("\nWebSphere Cell Name is"). Append (Cellnames);

    println ("name of the WebSphere cell is" + Cellnames);

    If (cellName.equals (CELLINPUT)) {}

    applications = obj.get("applications");

    {(app in the applications)

    appName = app.getName ();

    If (appName.equals (APPINPUT)) {}

    Count ++;

    Msg. Append("\nFound application to delete"). Append (AppName);

    println ("found application to remove" + appName);

    try {}

    instances = app.get("instances");

    for (instance in instances) {}

    topSvc.deleteObject (instance);

    }

    topSvc.deleteObject (app);

    Msg. Append ("\nSuccessfully deleted application instance.");

    println ("instance successfully removed application.");

    } catch (Exception ex1) {}

    Msg. Append("\nException while Deleting application instance:"). Append (EX1);

    println ("Exception when deleting application instance:" + ex1);

    }

    }

    }

    If (County<>

    Msg. Append("\nNo applications with name:"). Append (APPINPUT).append("found_to_be_deleted_in_Cell:").append (CELLINPUT);

    println ("no application with the name:" + APPINPUT + "found in the cell to remove:" + CELLINPUT);

    }

    } else {}

    Msg. Append("...not desired Cell, skipping.:"). Append ("\n");

    println ("... not desired cell, jump");

    }

    }

    Return msg.toString ();

    ===

    I really hope this helps someone out there

  • The Print Spooler Service is not running. Operating system is Windows XP Service Pack 3.

    I followed the suggestion to use start > Control Panel > administration tool > services > print spooler > properties.

    System in automatic mode but State of the said service stopped.

    I get error 1075: the dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.

    Printer worked this AM, but stopped working between two print jobs.

    I used Mr. Fixit to diagnose and fix the problem. Mr. Fixit indicates the print spooler service is not running, but cannot fix it.

    Is there a source code for Windows XP service pack 3 which can be downloaded to replace the corrupted code?

    Thanks for your help

    Robear:

    I'll be back of the travel.  I'm after the suggestion of CARI.  Seems to be the right track.

    My print spooler system component is missing from the remote procedure call.  If I restore it, I think that the print spooler is reactive.  Suggestions of curry hit Start, Program Files, accessories and they type net start spooler.  However, after the departure, I don't see any Program Files, so am unable to complete the suggested path.

    TIP: Read the Symptoms section of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973688.

    Note that KB973688 is NOT a security update.

    (1) do you have an installed application that "uses Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) to process XHTML files" and (2) that "generates a lot of requests when it tries to retrieve well known from the definition of the Type of Document (DTD) from a World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web server files" and (3) to "these redundant retrieval requests cause the W3C Server block requests DTD?

    If you can't answer YES to all three of these conditions, you do not need to install KB973688 and you can "hide"

    1. stop the automatic updates service:

    Start > Right click on run , and then select run as administrator > services.msc (type) > [OK]
    Double-click automatic updates > click stop
    (Stopping the service will take a moment)

    2 remove the contents of the download folder:

    Start > Right click on run , and then select run as administrator >
    (type or copy/paste) %windir%\SoftwareDistribution > [OK]
    Open the download folder and delete its content
    Close the window.

    3 start | Control Panel | System maintenance and (if you use Classic view, skip this step). Windows Update: Select the installed updates: right click on the Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB973688) | Click hide update | Confirm the prompt UAC (User Account Control), if any, & OK your way out.

    4. start the automatic updates service:

    Start > Right click on run , and then select run as administrator > services.msc (type) > [OK]
    Double-click automatic updates > click Start
    (Stopping the service will take a moment)

    =====================================
    To restore/show updates in Win7: Start | Control Panel | System maintenance and (if you use Classic view, skip this step) | Windows Update | Restore hidden updates: Find and select the update you want to install. Click restore. You can now select once again it and install through the normal process.

  • I have Vista 64 and when I download Windows Vista Service Pack 1, I lose my system. I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 7 64.

    My Vista system has crashed into two different time after I was told to put in Vista Service Pack 1 level. The system tells me to do Service Pack 1 before I can run Windows 7 64.

    Backup of personal data (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then do a format and clean install of Vista 64-bit.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) won't fix this!

    Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or a network otherwise and before using a USB key that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:

    5 steps to help protect your new computer before going online
         http://www.Microsoft.com/protect/computer/advanced/XPPC.mspx

    After taking care of all the foregoing, Windows Update will eventually offer several SP1 prerequisite updates (e.g., http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955430;) ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821) and then SP1 itself. After that you got SP1 installed, you will be able to run Win7 64-bit.

    If these procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, good reputation and independent computer (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) repair facility.

    Good luck!

  • Cannot install on XP Pro SP3: "Service Pack 3 Setup error - the system cannot find the file specified."

    I am trying to install SP3 on my XP Pro.  I get a notice on my screen, stating: "Service Pack 3 Setup error - the system cannot find the file specified."  Don't know what I'd do.  Thank you.  Peter glass

    That's good news. I think you also need to analyze of rootkits being on the right side. So, now:

    Search for rootkits with a program SPECIALLY designed to detect and remove the (aswMBR):

    Download this file to your desktop. Double-click the icon to run the program. When the opportunity to download and install the latest Avast definitions do.
    Run a scan. Results in red indicate that this was not a false positive! Do you need to remove the rootkit (including "FixMBR" if necessary).

    And finally, leave your PC on overnight and search for viruses, using this site:
    Once we are convinced that your PC is clean, here are my instructions (just in case where you still cannot run batch of Geek-Tech file, etc.):

    1. download the installation of SP3 and IE8 (beforehand) files. I prefer to keep these (and other useful files) on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links for the installation files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

    (You can TOTALLY ignore the message "intended for it professionals"!)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

    (You need to install IE8 AFTER SP3! Trust in me.)

    IMPORTANT NOTE!

    It is VERY important to ensure that Internet Explorer is at the level IE6 before installing SP3. In case you have IE7 or IE8, you must uninstall it / them, using the Control Panel Add / Remove programs. Let us know if you need assistance with this.

    Once again:

    Make sure that IE is IE6 level before installing SP3. You can go directly from IE6 to IE8 after SP3 has been installed.

    2. disconnect Internet. Also unplug all unnecessary devices.

    3. temporarily disable the automatic updates. To do this:

    Start | Control Panel (switch to Classic view if not already selected). Automatic updates

    4 set up a clean boot. The last thing you need is for a program that runs in the background to interfere with these updates! (It happens!) For more information:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

    (Note that this is the same as setting up a "Diagnostic boot.")

    Reset.

    5 install the SP3. Restart TWICE.

    6 switch to IE8. Restart TWICE.

    (What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).

    7 unscrew the clean boot. (That is, return to the Normal startup).

    8 make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should already be):

    Start | Control Panel | Security Center

    9 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates. Restart each time you are prompted.

    10 re - enable automatic updates.

  • Cannot open outlook express on windows xp pro, error message is impossible began another version is running on the system

    It started when could not send email with pictures, I can't even delete the email then after outlook express does not open. The error I got is outlook express could not be started another version is running on the system

    Before attempting to open OE, right-click on the taskbar and open the Task Manager and check that there is no mention of OE or MSOE in the running processes. If it's OK, try a new Folders.dbx file.

    MSIMN. EXE is the real process of OE

  • Error after running system update: "the Group Policy Client service has no logon. Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service".

    Original title: run windows Vista Ultimate 32 - is system update, get now

    Facts: OS Vista Ultimate 32 bit

    Antivirus - Eset NOD32
    ESET prompted me to leave with the latest updates window, made it regularly, menu updates box Eset Windows open.  I accept the standard updates. Computer needs to restart to complete the installation.  I accept.  Windows restarts comp, I connect, BONE implements internal whatnot.  Screen turns off, a blue screen, stop, restart cycle begins = restart - screen down - blue - boot in SafeMode etc.   Finally, I use the Vista ultimate installation disc to break the cycle.    I repair the startup procedure, then restore point 3 days for a previous backup of the system.  Now I get "The Group Policy Client service failed the logon.  Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service".
    What should do? What should do?  Buy a Mac?

    Hello PatrickRatley,

    Often we see odd behavior as the result of a program from loading at startup.

    To solve these, we use the clean boot troubleshooting.

    The following article describes this process:

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    If it does not and this ends up really being something to do with group policy, you can post in our TechNet forums:

  • Vista problem: "failed to connect to the windows service, Windows cannot connect to the system event.

    I have reported this problem on my PC at home that connects to the internet. My laptop runs Vista Home Premium and I can't connect to the internet. I took my laptop on a trip, tried to connect to the wireless network that was free to the place we are. Could not connect, and after this initial test, the following is displayed after the start of "failed to connect to the Windows Service, Windows cannot connect to the system event notification service. This problem prevents limited users to logon to the system. As administratvie user, you can view the system event log to see why the service did not respond. "(have no idea how or what it means) when I go to the task bar you want to connect to a network, it is said:" the dependency service or group could not start"and if I go ahead and press"connect to a network"it says it can't find.  I search for computers on the network (who I'm sitting next to) and then try to diagnose the problem and it cannot. I have limited knowledge of this type of problem. Anyone have this problem and how to fix it?

    Hi ptkein,

    Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.

    Option 1: You can download and install the latest network card drivers and see if that can solve the problem.

    Option 2: Follow the link below to fix network connection problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-network-connection-problems

    Option 3: Follow the link below to solve Internet connection problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-Internet-connection-problems

    Option 4: To verify if a third party application is a cause, follow this link (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode) for this boot to the desktop using the safe mode with networking option and try to install the network. If the problem is resolved, you will need to perform a clean boot by following the steps in the following article to refine the exact source and isolate it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Let me know if it worked.

    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you and best regards,
