EnterpriseManager0. < host name > OC4J_EMPROV shows down

Hi Experts,

I have OEM Grid Control 10.2.0.5 on redhat 5.4
Problem is while I surf the web (https://hostname:1159/em) it shows ' EnterpriseManager0.grid - control_OC4J_EMPROV ' down (target > all targets).)

But usning command below I found this upward:

. / opmnctl status

Process pending: EnterpriseManager0.grid - control

You should check MyOracleSUpport Note [ID 580124.1]

It could be a problem in your file/etc/hosts.

  • Availability of the critical apparatus report shows too many bars, not enough host names

    Hello

The availability of critical devices report includes a graph showing the availability of each server in the selected period.

On my report, I get 2 bars for each displayed hostname. Maybe the host names are not displayed as there a lot and the report is rendered for optimal playback.

Even when export to HTML and looking at the source, host names are not available to extract and there is no option to export CSV. This is why I'm a bit stuck on how to generate a report with all the listed host names and their availability without going into the backend database.

    Any ideas?

  • Photosmart HP 5510 B111a-printing of Ipads, host names and more!

    Hello

I have 5 of these photosmart printers installation in various places around our school to allow printing of the iPad 2 that have been deployed to classrooms.

The problem is it seems to be a way to identify the different printers on the network when printing of you ipads. When I click on print and then select a printer list shows "PHOTOSMART HP 5510 B111a [C95...

The [C95 corresponds to the first three digits of the host name of the printer, the problem is that three out of five printers have the same first three digits and are all the same displayed as the example above and therefore gives no idea of what printer you select until you print.] Which is not very practical in a school of our size!

I connected to the HP configuration page using the IP address and changed the host name, but it changed only on windows-based hardware.

So my question is: is it possible to change the name of the printer to allow me to determine what printer I print from an iPad? If this isn't the case, any other solution would be great.

    Hello

You can change the identification of the unit of the printer, following embedded Web server:

    1. Access SAP from your browser by using the IP address of the printer.
    2. Enter the network tab.
    3. Enter the network.
    4. Enter Hello.
    5. Change the Name of Service Hello , as required, the updated name will appear on any Apple device.
    6. Click apply to save the changes.

I am trying to create my vpn tunnel to use ip instead of host names, so in the case where change us the ip addresses I don't need to change a load of routers.

However when I get my orders as below, the host name resolves automatically and when I do a show that is executed, it displays the ip address again. How do config record with host names?

    edited config, some commands used:

    crypto ISAKMP peer hostname

    &

    defined by peers

You can not use FQDN counterpart hostnames with a VPN IPsec LAN - LAN that uses keys pré-partagées for authentication.

To do this, you will need to deploy certificate based authentication.

    Hello world

Need to know how the PC has managed to connect even if the host name has changed?

    Concerning

    MAhesh

    Mahesh,

The client connects to the base on the HostAddress profile field.

Host name, is what is used to populate the drop-down list and identifies the connection in "plain language." Although it is often the COMPLETE domain name, it doesn't have to be.

When a user makes the connection, one of the things that happens is that any changes in profile on the ASA is pushed to the locally stored user profile.

  • LaserJet P1505n printer: How can I change the host name to NPI1BDC68 to meaninful something more?

My network, a HP LaserJet P1505n printer, host name is set to NPI1BDC68. Is this cable or is there a way for me to change? Trying to solve: manuals were reviewed, Forum questions were searched, google General search conducted. I am running Win XP and a Mac Pro with OS X 10.6.8.

Well, which took me 10 minutes to solve.  I found the answer on a HP site based in France. (I kinda changed my google query and tried again.)  The site asks on first access, if you wish to continue in English, thankfully.  http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01175001

In short, use Internet Explorer or Safari, go to the IP address of your network printer.  For Win XP users, you can determine the IP address using, start/printers and faxes /(select printer)/properties/ports tab / select new/Configure button/second field printer port to down the IP address shown.

Once connected to the network printer subsystem, select the Networking tab.  The host name is the first field which can be changed. Enter a new name from 1 to 15 characters.  Tip: He doesn't like spaces. Underscores work well and the new name can be mixed case. Press the button apply at the bottom of the screen when done.  Warning appears that access to the printer may need to be changed if the IP address has been changed.  Acknowledge the warning. Printer goes offline for a few seconds. The page automatically refreshes and the new host name can be confirmed by inspection.

    Hello

I deleted successfully installed grid Infrastructure software. Now, I installed again it but the installer complains about '[INS-40912] virtual host name assigned to another system on the network", which he complains not in the first installation process. :/

EDIT: I checked and both nodes of the cluster are interpingable through their virtual IP address.

I see that the previous installation has created a clean interface for this virtual IP address:

    OK solved: I just do:

  • vCenter host name does not change after upgrade to different to host

    Hello

Yesterday I've updated vcenter server 5.0 to 5.1 in my lab environment. everything goes well, I faced some problems after the upgrade to 5.1. Below the questions I met

1 vcenter service is stopped - solved by stopping Server vcenter 5.0, because my SQL Server must always connect to my server vcenter 5.0. Basic Upgrade to 5.1

The host name of vcenter 5.0 is vcp.lab.com

2 vcenter 5.1 host name is vcp5.lab.com, when I connect to vcenter server with the host name or IP address still shows the old vcp.lab.com at the top of the console to vcenter

How to solve this kind of issue. Is there any problem with certification because I copied the secure channel to the server vcp5 Server certification.

Go to the menu Administration-> vCenter Server settings-> the run settings and type the name of the new server vCenter on vCenter Server Name.

  • Get the FULL domain name host name

I'm trying to use Split() to reduce the FQDN down to the host name.

    For example:

    Get - vm | Select name, @{N = 'ESXi host name'; E = {$_.vmhost.} Split(".") [0]}}

For some reason any my split function returns a white instead of just the host name.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

VMHost is an object, not a string. You must use:

    Get - vm | Select name, @{N = 'ESXi host name'; E = {$_.vmhost.} Name.Split(".") [0]}}

  • the cutting of the domain component of the host name for the use of script

    Hello

I'm trying to rename my < host name > local-local data warehouses.

Pretty easy in theory as much as it is the only store of data on my host right now.

    I do this

    $vmhosts = get-vmhost-location < data center of choice >

    for each $vmhost in {$vmhosts}

    Get-vmhost $vmhost | get the data store | store game data-name '$vmhost - local.

    }

    Only they named

    myhost.mydomain.com - local instead of

    myhost-local

I am fairly new to scripting and I do not know how to cut the $vmhost down to remove the. mydomain.com beyond the end.

I noticed in powershell they mention that you can use .string to shorten the chains just doesn't seem to work.

    Any help would be great.

    Thank you

You can use the Split method to do this.

    Something like that

    $shortName = $vmhost. Name.Split('.') [0]

That what is to separate the host name in all places where there is a point.

The result is returned as an array of strings, and we want the first string

  • How device Orchestrator properly resolve its host name and IP address?

    Hello.

Someone knows how to make good DNS resolution for device Orchestrator in order to solve its own (full FQDN) host name and IP address according to DNS records?

The problem is with the methods "System.resolveIpAddress ()" and "System.resolveHostName ()".

The 'resolveIpAddress()' method returns the same so called IP with static IP address assigned to this device. And returns the domain the host's FULL name when it is called with 127.0.0.1.

So when I call "System.resolveIpAddress ('192.168.1.50')", it returns "192.168.1.50" instead of FULL domain name.

    When I call "System.resolveIpAddress ('127.0.0.1')", it returns "vco.local.lan".

The 'resolveHostName()' method returns 127.0.0.1 when it is called with FULL domain name or host name.

When I call 'System.resolveHostName ('vco.local.lan')' or '('vco') System.resolveHostName' it returns 127.0.0.1 in both cases.

utility 'nslookup' launched from the console device even work properly return FQDN by entering the IP and the return of the appropriate IP (192.168.1.50) when you enter the FULL domain name.

    Thank you.

SSH to your device or access to the console and log in as root...

    Then, edit your file/etc/hosts

-Remove any mention of your domain name FULL and hostname in there, the only things you'll want to go in the sense of:

    127.0.0.1 localhost

Possibly restart the network service (perhaps not necessary, I did it on my own)

After doing this, my phone began to show the fqdn when I chose the correct IP address in the configuration.

  • Workstation 8: Upload failed: Curl error: could not resolve the host name

I have workstation 8 connected to our ESX host, it shows all the machines and allows me to connect to their end. But when I try to copy/paste/drag and drop a local virtual machine over there he said "Vmware workstation 8: Upload failed: Curl error: could not resolve the host name.

Someone at - he fell on this or have any ideas why this would be. I think that if it does not find the host name, I could not navigate or connect to my Virtual Center.

    Hello

Whats is your ESX host name? I would recommend using with full ESX host name during the connection. You can connect to the ESX host using the host name, but to download the VM in this topic, you will need to use FULL of ESX host of domain name when connecting.

Please try to do it and let us know if it solves your problem.

I had a look at the files you sent me and tested in different browsers. I don't see a problem because mouseover and mouseout/mouseouthandler() events work as expected. The reason why all down and several events have not been programmed to. Remember that when a menu item is clicked on, it takes you to another page with a different menu and a different logic.

If you want the item of menu appropriate to remain in an inactive state, you need to program for it.

Why don't you use a menu ready fact as Spry system?

    GRAMPS.
