Entrance area of text in Flash 8

Hi all, I came across a problem this morning, I was able to find a work around.
I have a button and a text box on standard input. What I want to do is you (release) trace the value of the input text box (no big deal right )

That's what my trace returns as: (not good when you try to get the var)
< TEXTFORMAT LEADING = "2" > < P ALIGN = "LEFT" > < FONT FACE = "Times" SIZE = "12" COLOR = "#000000" LETTERSPACING "0" KERNING "0" = = > Hello World < / POLICE > < /P > < / TEXTFORMAT >

now the job is about I save the file as a test MX04 again and he returned as
Hello world

While he is with that? Any ideas?

Thank you
Bobby

you use auto kern on your textfield. which is causing it to be formatted for html text.

OK, I've checked everything I can think of and it seems to be in order.

However I tried another area of text and fonts worked perfectly in it. The only thing I can think is that the program just "threw a wobbly" when I selected the original text box.

  • Entrance area of text on a slide in verification of knowledge?

Well, argh. I had just figured out how to do a clever text search thing when Captivate threw another monkey to me key.

The ultimate goal of the project I created must have the students looking graphs by searching for them in a simulation of what they would use in real life and then use this information to answer a question. I got my graph search prototype working, then created a slide to check knowledge with the question. I went to re-implement my prototype on the question slide, and... Captivate allow you to add boxes for entering text on slides KC? Why? I mean, I guess that the answer is 'somethingsomethingSCORM', but I don't even have this entry to have a SCORM ID, I just need to be there and readable by a tip action.

So now I feel like I'm screwed because Captivate says "stupid, why would you do? Obviously I am a little annoyed right now, but maybe someone can help me?

As far as I can tell I have to find a way either:

    • Have a dimmable (in fact, it should not even be dimmable with respect to reporting to an LMS, just able to allow users to check their answers) multiple choice question on the same page as a text input box that can take input from the user and be read by a tip action , or...
    • The question multiple choice remember what checkboxes the user has to be checked out, even if they sail away. In this way the question slide could have a link that goes to the slide of the research, which could bind and then return to the question slide. Is not ideal, but it could work. So far, however, when I tried this the boxes checked the user get unchecked as soon as you leave the slide, if the response has been made or not, and that is not acceptable.

    Any suggestions?

Since I'm on Captivate, it has never been possible to use any interactive object on a slide in question (and a slide to check knowledge is a question slide). This changed with form buttons, which are so far the only interactive object that can be used (limits): buttons on Question/Score 6 Captivate Slides?-Captivate blog

A text entry box IS an interactive object. Apparently you don't realize that your first idea is impossible as well, TEB can not go on a normal Question slide.

Second scenario: the selected boxes are stored in the variable cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice quiz system. But it is a reused variable, you will need to keep its value in a user variable before they have been with a different value.

If you want that this degree of control that personally I would certainly create a custom question slide. Here's an example I created for a colleague to test the interpretation of technical drawings:

Link score attempts at questions custom - Captivate blog

It would be much easier now, because it was created before the existence of shared actions.

  • entrance area of text on lost focus and success

Can someone explain the difference between an action on lost Focus and success of a text entry area, and why you want to have a different action for these two parameters that seem, at least on the surface, virtually perform the same function?

    There is a difference.

Success for the text entry box means that the text, they entered a validated as correct.  On the means of the failure, the text was not correct.

On the lost development allows you to trigger an action if the user types something in the text box and then do not click the submit button.

For example, you might want a legend to appear telling them they must click the button submit to have their text evaluated or validated. If you add a legend to the stage, turn off the visibility, and then set the Focus lost to SHOW this legend and give appropriate instructions.

  • Entrance area of text - on the theme of the ceremony

Similar to the event "The Focus lost", not there at - it no comparable cases 'The Focus' or "On Enter"? I need an action to fire as soon as the user clicks in (or tabs in) BER. Maybe it's just fine, but I can't find anything. Thank you!

There is nothing in the default Captivate feature. However, if you are not concerned about the HTML5 compatibility, you could achieve with the widget to Infosemantics event handler:

    http://www.Infosemantics.com.au/Adobe-Captivate-widgets/event-handler-interactive

You just put the event handler to listen to clicking on the TEB and run a fast action if it detects one.

  • How can I get a click box to interact with an entrance area of text on the same page?

I created a tutorial on the use of a specific system and trying to recreate what the end user would have real in the system.  On a slide, the user must enter text in a field, and then press a (click) button to move to the next slide.  I want to be able to have the box click validate if the text is correct before moving on to the next slide.  Is there a way to get the box click to validate text input?  Don't know how to get the two objects to "talk" to each other rather than operating independently.

    textentry_clickbox.jpg

Literally, I want the user to enter data into the text entry box, and then click get.  I need the Get (click box) button to validate the data entered in the text box entry is correct and, if this is the case, advance to the next slide.  If the data is bad, I need the Get (click box) button to display the legend of failure and have the end user to re - enter the data correctly.

How can I get the objects to work together?

    Hello

You must remove the click box. Yes, you heard me. Remove the puppy.

I know that sounds weird. But bear with me. Once you remove it, double-click the text entry box. Then click on the Options tab. See this option called Show button? Click it, and then click OK to close the properties of TEB.

Now you have the button you want. If you don't want a button, double-click on it and set it as transparent. Delete the text. Position you like, where the click box was before.

  • Vector text HTML5 Flash seems harsh when magnified in the browser.

When I create a vector text in Flash, it looks like this when implemented in the browser.

It's the same thing created on board seems perfectly fine. Why is it that and especially is it possible to fix it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Screenshot_08_02_2016__22_31.png

    To answer your question usefully...

The fundamental difference between Edge and Flash is that Edge creates HTML text native objects (which are vectors), while Flash in canvas mode instead makes everything for a canvas object, which is just a bitmap image. So when you zoom in on a bitmap, it will be pixelated. It's also why Flash canvas text cannot be selected, because there is no text object to select a few pixels.

The only way to 'fix' is to use custom JavaScript to create text objects yourself, floating above the canvas layer. But then you lose all the advantages of the Flash authoring environment.

  • How could hide several areas of text caption on multiple slides at the same time?

I have a simulation of flash card whereupon entering the slide, you see a text box. When you click a button, the detailed answer is given below.

I initially put in place of the slides so that the first text box is visible and the second one (the answer) is invisible, with press button giving a command to "show" the second hidden text box.

The problem is that if a user starts again from the beginning, the responses are already showing.

I want the slides of "reset" from the beginning so that they behave in the same way they did the first time.

    I tried the following:

    1. in the title of the 'Actions' dialog for the slide, I changed the action appropriate 'input' to hide the text box. The problem is that it sometimes takes a while to do, and you can see the answer for the blink of an eye. Not good.

    2. then, I tried an advanced action that set all the slides to hide the text box, but it only worked to the one being programmed.

    I am using Captivate v5.5.

Any ideas or tips to solve this problem?

    Thank you!!!

    Two ideas:

    • Place a box of highest point on the upper guide layer so that it covers the areas of text for the first second or so of the slide, and then use your advanced Actions.  This means that the initial presence of flash boxes does not see because sometimes located under the highlight box.
    • Postpone your text boxes by half a second or more on the timeline.  Then during the advanced Actions work that should be hidden, the object has not yet appeared. Again not Flash.

    Hello

Your code is logically correct, but you just need to add a line.

I write code with some changes.

    1. DECLARE
    2. l_vc_arr2 APEX_APPLICATION_GLOBAL. VC_ARR2;
    3. BEGIN
    4. l_vc_arr2: = APEX_UTIL. STRING_TO_TABLE(:P1_TEXTAREA);
    5. FOR z IN 1.l_vc_arr2.count LOOP
    6. HTP.p (l_vc_arr2 (z));
    7. Insert into t1 (empno, ename,) values (l_vc_arr2 (z),: P1_USER);
    8. END LOOP;
    9. END;
    10. /

    Try this, it should work.

  • How are they managing storage Flash on my Macbook Pro?

Hello, I have storage problems with my macbook pro, simply because I miss. I went through and eliminated a lot of my videos and photos because that's mainly what I use this for, but my storage is full. How to clear up the flash storage?

For the other category in the display of information storage, see this support article. If the display appears to be inaccurate, try to rebuild the Spotlight index of the boot volume ("Macintosh HD", unless you have given it a different name.)

Empty the trash if you don't have it already done. If you use iPhoto, emptying his trash internal everything first:

    ▹ iPhoto empty the trash

    In pictures:

▹ Show of the recently deleted ▹ file delete all

Do the same thing in other applications like Aperture, with an internal feature of the trash. Then, restart the computer. Temporarily, which will free up space.

According to the documentation from Apple, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the boot volume (as shown in the Infolog) for normal operation, not the mythical 10%, 15% or any percentage. You also need enough space to allow the growth of the data over. There is little or no advantage in terms of performance to get more free space than the minimum Apple recommends. Storage space you'll never use is wasted space.

When Time Machine backs up a Mac laptop, some free space will be used to make a snapshots the, who are backups of deleted files recently. The space occupied by the local snapshots is declared as available by the Finder and should be considered as such. In the view of storage of the information system, snapshots appear them as backups. The snapshots are deleted automatically when they expire or when free space becomes less than a certain level. You don't need to usually and should not, remove snapshots them yourself. If you have followed the bad advice to disable snapshots the running a shell command, you may have ended up with a large amount of data in the other category. Ask for instructions in this case.

See this support article for some easy ways to free up storage space. A common waste of space is old backups iTunes to mobile devices. As shown in this support article, select the devices tab in the iTunes preferences window, select the backup that you want to remove and click on delete the backups. Keep at least a backup of each device you use yet.

You can, if you wish, use a tool such OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore the volume and discover what is take up space. You can also delete files with it, but not unless you don't know you know what you remove and that all data is stored safely. This means that you have several backups, not one. Note that the ODS only works with OS X 10.8 ("Mountain Lion") and later versions.

IMPORTANT: This comment is neither a recommendation nor an endorsement of any third party software. You should always do your own research to determine if the unknown software is safe and useful. Don't take the word of anyone, including mine.

Deletion of files inside a photo library or iTunes will damage the library. Such a library should be changed within the application that created it. It is the same for e-mail files.

Go further than if the problem is not resolved by the steps above.

ODS cannot see the whole file system when you run simply by double-clicking; He sees only the files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you must run it as root.

Back up all the data now.

Install the application in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it runs.

Triple-click any where in the text line below on this page to select, then copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.

    security execute-with-privileges /A*/OmniDiskSweeper.app/*/M*/* 2>&-

Launch the Terminal application integrated in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

Paste in the Terminal window by pressing command + V. You will be asked for your login password.

The application window opens behind other open windows. When you scan a volume, the window will finally show all files in all folders, sorted by size. It may take a few minutes for the app to finish scanning.

I do not recommend that you make a habit of doing. Do not delete anything as root. If something should be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then remove by safer alternatives. If in doubt, leave it alone or ask for advice.

When you are finished with the app, he quit and also to leave Terminal.

  • I can't seem to set the shadow to a text in Flash CC 2015

It's been a while since I used Flash and I have searched on the web and a few forums. I do something wrong, but we must know why, when I type text, then select it and add a drop shadow, I can adjust blur and the strength, but that's all.

In addition, my text is dynamic. I can't make it static.

    Thank you!

HTML5 Canvas projects are quite different from the Flash projects. If you start a Flash project, you will see that all your faithful controls (angle, etc.) are back. HTML5 Canvas is limited at the level of the integration of CreateJS and what either Adobe decides to fire on top.

EaselJS (what Flash uses on canvas) has a shadow method that actually supports things like offsetX and offsetY so I guess it will probably just take some time to integrate into Flash. Fear not however, you can still use the method yourself if you're ready to tap into JavaScript.

Here's the class of the shadow (that is a (.shadow) property of a text object):

    EaselJS v0.8.1 API Documentation: Shadow

Just to give you an example, that could help. In a HTML5 Canvas project I just added a TextField and set the name of the instance to 'myText '. Then in the code pane, I attribute just the shadow of the TextField class to get the offsetX/Y attribute:

If the color black ("#000000"), offsetX and Y of 10 pixels and blur 20px. Result:
