Envy 14-3010NR wireless adapter issues, this is a strange...

Hello, I have a 3010NR Envy14 spectrum with Intel Centrino Advanced N6230 wireless adapter. Driver is 15.9.0.5 dated 16/06/13 dated. I've updated the operating system first to W8 and then to W8.1, since I had problems with the wireless, I had to work at some point after the update of the bios F.06, then when I started the other day, wireless.

I have search in the diagnosis of F2 and it says that the adapter is not installed, when I do a test of component... However when I go to Device Manager / network adapters / click on display / hidden devices, this is, when I look in the properties, he said ""currently this hardware device is not connected to the computer"(code45)". "" To solve this problem reconnect you this hardware device to the computer.

I also have the same problem with the wireless button on the keyboard that I see a lot of people, when I press on it now it switches airplane mode on and outside, where it is used to turn the WiFi on and off... It's always a white light, the orange light that lights up when wi/fi was off is now gone...

Notice to fans, it's really weird... Thanks in advance

Hey jagnewr,

Thank you for all the information in your message. For the error code that you get in the Device Manager, it means that the device is connected is no longer http://bit.ly/18I67As.

I've included the manual 'Guide to Service and Maintenance HP ENVY14 SPECTRUM'. Please open page 52 and follow the steps to remove the WLAN module. Remove and reset the module.

If you are still not able to connect, and the error code 45 is still present it most likely that the wireless card no longer works.

Good luck!

  • Want to M6 1225DX: updated HP Envy M6 1225DX wireless adapter

I'm looking to upgrade the card wireless in my HP Envy M6 1225DX.  Here are a few features on the machine:

    Product # D1E93UA #ABA

    CPU: Intel i5 - 3230M @ 2.6GHz

    RAM: 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM

    GPU: Intel HD graphics 4000

Wireless: Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn Wifi adapter

OS: Windows 7 x 64 (I know that HP does not support this)

    BIOS version: F.26

The wireless adapter that is currently installed (Ralink RT5390R) only supports SISO and the download speed tops out around 18-20Mbps.  I'm looking to replace this card with a card compatible MIMO and bluetooth, for example a 7260 Intel.

I read on several forums that HP basically whitelists some cards wireless in BIOS.  I have reviewed the maintenance manual and it has a list of compatible cards I listed below:

    • Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 9485GN and 3012 adapter Bluetooth 4.0
    • Atheros 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 Bluetooth adapter Combo WB225
    • Broadcom 4313GN 1 × 1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 adapter 802.11b/g/n 20702
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N WLAN 6230
    • MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter and adapter Mediatek Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1 × 1 Ralink RT5390R 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter
    • RALink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 690020-001 1 × 1
    • Atheros AR9565 1 × 1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 802.11b/g/n
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 WLAN for the Japan only

These are the only cards I can run in this machine?  I also read somewhere that HP no wireless adapter like whitelisting in the BIOS, and if that's the case, would a BIOS update fixed this problem?

I've been watching the 7260 Intel, but I don't know if it would work and would not order it and he has no job.   This adapter could work in this phone or I am I'm confined to the list given in the service manual?  If I'm limited to the above list, no matter what recommendatins to the adapter that will give me what I'm looking for?

Basically, what I'm looking for in a wireless adapter is:

    • Supports A/B/G/N and AC at 2.4 Ghz and 5.8 Ghz bands.
    • More high speed possible
    • Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1/2 height Mini PCIe form factor

    Thanks for the help

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your m6-1225dx HP ENVY Notebook and supported wireless cards. Yes, these are the cards that are supported in your notebook and fortunately will work with your graphics card and processor.  Some say that just restore BIOS to factory default help if you decide to go with your choice.

You could restore the BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings.

  • ENVY of HP dv7 - 7243cl wireless adapter issues

    Hi all

I have recently purchase a refurbished HP ENVY dv7-7243 CL overall I am satisfied with the product with the exception of a massive show. I have serious problems with the edge of network card range. I'm holding the phone right next to the router and I get only 3 of the 5 bars. It is not a router problem as I have several other devices that connect perfectly across the House. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I uninstalled and then reinstalled the driver, nothing helps.

Had the same problem and support has me remove the cover back, then reconnect the wireless antennas.  Went well after that.  Suggest that you call the assistance for this info on how to do it properly.  I'm sure you will agree that it's a quality issue with a new machine.

  • Recently purchased HP ENVY 15-3090 AC adapter issues

    Greetings,

I bought my HP Envy 15-3090 Newegg on November 20, 2012.  I actually used the laptop very little since the purchase, because I was in the middle of travel and holidays.  All I really did this day is to install a few games and some software and upgraded the machine to 16 GB of RAM.

I ended up moving and managed to get my new network configuration with the HP connected to an external monitor for multitasking purposes.  Still, I do not use a lot of the machine and after applying an update of Windows, he fed up for a while and then after taking my eyes off of him he went and never returned.

I guess that the AC adapter has ceased to deliver the battery with power.  I had to do a hard reset of the machine and managed to get it started with 3% remaining power.  I unplugged the AC adapter several times for several seconds each, disassembled and reassembled the AC adapter, I tried different outlets and the different power strips, but nothing gets the adapter to send a load.  The battery doesn't seem to be the problem, but having now reached 0% has no way for me to be very safe.

I don't have any other hardware HP in my house that I could use these adapters CA / CC to test if it is indeed the power adapter.  All I can say is that when it is in the laptop, there is no lights on the adapter or near the plug as my other laptops have when they are powered through the AC adapter.  So my theory that the adapter does not is the only thing that I have to go on.

According to Newegg, I am still under warranty.  Is it possible that I can get a new power adapter via the warranty and might send my old back?  If this is not the case, what should I do to get this resolved so I can start using my HP Envy?

    Thank you

    Kyle

I'm sorry to hear that Varwulf.  However, I have a little more information that may be useful.

This laptop uses a 90W Adapter.  HP/Compaq typically use a standard size plug for laptops, which means almost any adapter 90W HP/Compaq should work with your laptop.  Here is an example of which you can buy from HP Shopping.  If you visit HP Shopping and search for "90W" it will give you a list of the adapters currently offered by HP.

One of them should meet your needs very well.   If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Have a great rest of the week!

  • Reinstall the wireless adapter issues

I just had to do a recovery on my system last night after serious problems and as such I am back to square 1. I am trying to reinstall my Linksys Wireless-G USB Network Adapter (model # WUSB54G S ver. 2) and unfortunately I lost my CD for it. I downloaded driver for v.2 data and tried to make a facility a couple of times and I can't get the adapter is properly recognized. Even attaching to the cable part of the network display anything. Is there a separate file, I'm only away/can get that is specifically for the adapter, since I don't plan on using the wireless monitor software? Any information on the situation would be greatly appreciated.

Scratch that, figured it out. A letter was missing when I was the driver, fixed selection and now it's all workers

  • HP Envy M4 1115dx: Qualcomm QCA Atheros Driver Installation error | Device not found wireless adapter

I just replaced my old HD with a new SSHD Seagate. Everything is going well until I tried to connect to internet in wifi wireless mode with. I think it was a pilot error because I just do a blank Windows 8 install on my new SSHD (hybrid drive SSD). So I went to find the Driver for the WLAN Module.

HP is automatically detected my laptop model number and gave me a list of drivers. I selected "Qualcomm Atheros QCA90000 series Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows" under the list of Driver Network in the menu dropdown.

In the middle of the installation of this driver, I was arrested and met a titled error message, "802.11a/b/g/n Wireless adapter device not found". Just below this title was a big red circle with a white X sign. Besides, he said: "the device may not be present or could have been ejected unplugged from the system. Abortieng the installation, please insert the card and try again the Setup program. »

Below is a screenshot of what I mean.

Problem solved. I uninstalled all the drivers but the Ralink. Think I know what may have caused this.

The recommended for WLAN driver was based on a misinterpretation on behalf of HP. HP auto detected my laptop as a 1150la instead of the 1115dx model.

I'm not sure why HP thinks that my model is another, but it may have something to do with the SSHD and thermal fan replacement I did before this error WiFi.

  • This computer is not configured and wireless adapter.

I have a HP Pavilion laptop dv2500 2 year, with the operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium. After achieving a system recovery and do all the windows and updates of the network adapter driver HP, I use the Network Wizard HP (HPNA) to implement the wireless connection, but the technology can not find wireless WiFi adapter in my laptop and so I don't have a wireless connection to Internet now. The blue wireless light is turned on. I check the network adapters in the Device Manager and can not find the wireless adapter. I have no problem in the Wi Fi connection with my laptop before I made the recovery of the system.  Now, I have to use the Ethernet cable to get internet via my D-Link router. The provider of Internet access high-speed is Telus (DSL). The wireless adapter does not work or the mother board is malfunctioning?  Can someone please suggest a solution to this problem. MapleBridge

I think that you have diagnosed correctly.  It would be convenient if you could try another card before you buy a (maybe borrow one from a friend) and also check this adapter on another computer to see if she works there (so it can't be defective or it may simply decide to work at that moment), but as the material, you should be able to return everything you buy If she has problems. Make sure that it is compatible with your version of Vista.  I think a USB connector will very well - many people use them and I hear of any particular problem they that do not occur with all different types of devices.  It'll probably be easier to install.  Do not throw the power adapter - it may be useful someday as a spare because it does work from time to time. Mine is built into my laptop and my other laptop using a PCMCIA card (and gave me all the problems) so I can't comment from personal experience on what you have or are considering long-term (I don't count the customers - I'm not here long enough to properly evaluate).

    Good luck and best wishes.

  • Wireless adapter suddenly lost, disappeared from the Device Manager. How to prevent this?

    Hey :)

Ive looked all over the internet, but still nothing quite similar to this...
    -Asus PC V551LB-CJ093H
    -Windows 8
-Wireless network adapter: Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260
The problem is: laptop suddenly loses wireless wireless adapter because suddenly friggin disappears from the Device Manager, as did not exist. Only the wired network adapter still works and all things Bluetooth. The only way to resurrect from the dead is to restart my laptop. But I don't like this solution X_x. How can I stop my laptop disconnect my wireless connection?
    What I've tried:
Auto-updated the driver from Device Manager
-' Find the hardware changes' on Device Manager
-Disable "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" the power of the device management
The only thing that has worked now:
    -Restart the laptop.
Thank you very much for your help :D

Thanks a lot :) I've manually updated the drivers from the manufacturer's website (intel), and the problem ceased to occur. I will you update if anything... Thanks again.
