Envy 15 laptop: picture library on start display

My screen start done scroll only 4 pictures although there are many more pictures in my library.

How can I increase the number on the screen?

Any help please?

Thanks Douglas

Hi @connelsey ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Envy 15 laptop and issues with the slideshow of the start screen. Here's a link using Microsoft with Photos.

Open the app Photos Swipe in the right edge of the screen, and then tap Settings.
Tap or click Options.

Set Shuffle on Photos of tile photos to it.

Make sure that all the pictures are saved in the same place as those that are read.

I'd be happy to help you if necessary. How can I find my model number or product number?

Please let me know.

Thank you.

  • Why won't one of the picture of the user displayed in the Start Menu?

On our old Netbook, there are 2 users. I am the administrator and my wife is a regular user. I have two of our photos in our profiles and our user accounts. Whenever I start, my picture is at the top of the start menu as it should. When my wife connects and starts, there is no picture in the start menu. I checked three times. All the settings on the two users are the same. Her image appears everywhere else it is supposed to, such as the log on screen, etc. What can I do to get it to show? A clue for you can be its start menu is much greater than mine. By that, I mean it takes more space, has more characters and icons. I checked all the settings too. They are all the same. Thanks in advance.

  • When I open the picture library, then my pictures and scroll to a folder or an image, the view scrolls upward automatically

    I have a Dell Inspiron 580 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

When I open the picture library, then my images and made scroll to a folder or an image I want to view or work with, the animated icon is displayed and then scrolls upward automatically.  This also happens when I open a file; When I scroll down in a folder, I'm automatically referred to the top row of thumbnails.

I tried to use two mouse different and convenience store says that mice work properly.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I suspect some kind of image synchronization software here at work. Disruptions could come from some refreshment paging that completes a cycle of enumeration of images in a folder.

Image utilities 'helper' camera, printer or a third party may be the cause. A review of processes that start automatically when you start the computer would be the first step. While looking into MSCONFIG, startup can provide a preliminary list, the most complete list of programs or services that initiate at startup is AutoRuns from SysInternals.

Found and tried to apply the Win64_153318.exe on the Web site for my Intel 4000 Graphics Intel Graphics hardware. It could not install, with the error message is not for my system (it has been clearly stated Intel 64-bit, Intel(r) HD Graphics 4000.

Found drivers HP Envy, SP63750.exe, Version 10.18.10.3304, dated November 8, 2013. Do no noticeable change.

In some cases, I could get color acceptable to a mode (file JPG look at one), but unacceptable for display on the screen.  I tried the mode high contrast, but yuckk, made the screen really hard to keep up with all these text boxes, like watching a brick wall.

If I look at the same files with my Netbook (Win 7 update) mini 1101, the graphics are really normal colors and contrasts. (Maybe the drivers I screwed up when I had sent for repair to the HDD/MoBo). I have not tried a total reset, and yet, it's always such a pain to do a reset to see that it of a hardware fault or not. Any help for a reboot to get my colors and contrast back to normal?

First of all, the only Solution that is available (on the present four), Option 3. None of the other options had these functions), in this Envy 17 laptop.

Although I had found another Option (which maybe you can integrate in Option 5), but remained elusive to me because part of my exploratory solution, the taskbar had large icons and the taskbar hid the 'Next', 'Cancel' buttons on the pages of process,

The simple shortcut to my solution is: Control Panel > display > calibrate color: see 'Welcome to display color calibration.   I went through the correct colors calibrate the color Process andgotmy back.

By default, option 3, transforming the 'sensor Monitor Service' is an employment status empty (early release) illustrated. This option seems to be a 'do nothing option. In my case, I can't thank you for trying, butnone of Options seems to work for me.

  • If I try to print pictures from the picture library, they all come out in grayscale.

    HP PSC2355 All In One

This printer has recently been attached to my new computer, HP 2MD2190CLF.

    Running Windows 7, 64-bit

Settings are the same on the printer, as they were for old PC (XP) and laptop (Vista), that he was hooked up to.

I am trying to print photos from the library of images and they come out in grayscale. I print documents and that they

out in color, photos printed color print of the webcam webcams. Put the webcam image in the picture library

and try to print grayscale. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

The application that prints photos in the photo library maintains its own set of settings of the printer, separate from what can be defined elsewhere.  Select a photo, click on print and then click on 'options' in the bottom right.  From there you should be able to select the appropriate paper type and color printing.

  • HP ENVY 14 LAPTOP - cannot change the color of the menu of win 7

Right now I know it is a HP support forum but I have a HP laptop and desktop and I really hope someone here can help me really...

Good one a few months ago I bought a HP Envy 14 laptop and I must say that I really liked it. Then a few days ago, I just bought a HP desktop computer (can tell you I'm a fan of HP) and I love it also.

    Here's my problem...

On my desk, I decided to change her look, so I installed a custom theme (dark theme) and it changes the appearance of windows 7 and changed the color of the lower menu/taskbar of windows 7 in black and I really liked it. I decided to install this theme on my laptop and everything has changed except for the background color of menu/taskbar of windows 7 botom. For some reason any will not change the color of the menu bit matter what I do.

    I tried to go to:

Panel-> personalization-> change the color of window glass

and by selecting a different color but not matter what color I select windows 7 background menu/taskbar does not change it remains just the grayish color of say her since I got the laptop.

Now, why this work on my desktop but not on my laptop?

There must be a setting on windows 7 that prevents me to change the color of the lower menu/taskbar. Still worse firefox is horrible. I can not change the appearance of firefox, whenever I have try and install a new firefox theme does not change. On my desk, I installed a dark theme for firefox 11 (the Nasa Night Launch) theme and it worked very well but for some reason any on my laptop, nothing seems to work just...

I really hope that someon can help me with this because it makes me crazy...

I want to thank you all for your time and help,

DragonFur, I want to thank you for your time and your answers, you should know that it meant a lot to me.

After doing a lot of work and trial and error, I finally found a solution to this problem...

I did a lot of googling and research and what I found is that there are many people out there who are owners of laptop HP Envy 14 who have trouble changing the color of their windows 7 start menu/taskbar or with the taskbar is not not transparent.

Here are some of the things I tried.

1 Installing different themse (did not work)

    2. Update driver for ati radeon 5650 graphics card (did not work)

3 tried to adjust areo ensuring transparency has been activated (did not work)

    4. tried to bios update (did not work)

5 tried to use a program to change the color of the bar tasks (did not work)

What I ended up doing is creating a new user to the administrator and when I created this account is a program called "stardock mypaint" come asking me if I wanted to use this program to change the original theme for windows. When I said this software to change the original theme of windows 7, it changed my taskbar to the greyish appearance, it was the same off-white color I had on my account I tried to change. So I went back to my account and I searched for the program "stardock mypaint" and I have disabled this theme and then he changed my windows operating system 7 to an original blue theme but the taskbar was transparent! Then I went into my themes and changed the theme I wanted and my taskbar has changed color and transparency! Needless to say I was so happy.

I really hope that this post will really help someone else who is trying to solve this problem...

HP I really hope that maybe you guys can watch this program "Stardock MyPaint" which I think may be for HP Envy 14 laptop computers and allow users to know that the use of this program can affect other issues.

Isn't funny how the solution to the problem is always the simplest answer...

I knew there was something in the windows that kept my taskbar to be transparent and changing colors and it turns out it was a program of HP.

Yet once I really hope this helps someone else out there and I'm hoping that HP employees this will read so maybe they can help each other if someone falls on this problem.

DragonFur, thanks again for your help...

  • HP ENVY 17 LAPTOP PROBLEM 1201TX

I BOUGHT A HP ENVY 17 LAPTOP 1201TX 3D EDITION HE GETS HANGUP ALL PLEASE TIME HELP ME SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AND WHEN STARTING LAPTOP IT SAYS HARD DRIVE ERROR (3F1) I EVEN DID HARD DRIVE TEST...

    Hello

It is perhaps that your hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced.

As another test, try the following.

Follow the procedure below to create a bootable Ubuntu CD and follow the steps in part 3 of 'Try' to see if the operating system is running.  The option 'Try' runs the operating system from the CD without having to install on your HARD drive.  If it works Ok (it will be slow running on a CD), this would tend to confirm that the problem is only with the HARD drive.

    http://www.Ubuntu.com/desktop/get-Ubuntu/download

If your laptop is still under warranty, you can contact HP and arrange for the replaced HARD disk - you can check your warranty status.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide to replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.

    Kind regards

  • In Photo, pictures are not chronologically displayed

Loading images from 2 different cameras on the same internal clock, the photos are not chronologically ordered and displayed

You are looking in the album 'Pictures', where photos are displayed in the order they are added, you must look in 'Photos '.

  • Delete all files in the pictures library, the app still occupies the same space

An attempt to free up storage space, I exported all my photos and then deleted within the app (Image-> remove all). However the Finder shows that pictures library takes up the same amount of space as before I deleted my pictures.

How can I make sure that everything is deleted and I get my free space?

    Thank you
