I would be grateful for any help that to try to contact the technical service HP @ UK seems to be a secret, unless someone knows the phone number.

I have an envy 17-j006ea and performed a recovery when I arrived at this computer, he started playing and decided to recover back to factory settings, it failed and ended with an incomplete restoration. Thinking the recovery disks have been corrupted I bought a set of discs of HP recovery without success, I tried about 8 times now to restore this laptop, but have had 4 different messages for failure, the latest being a: -.

You may want to change the time in the bios menu - as described in the article at the following link - and then rerun through the recovery procedure.

    You have 2 Bay adapters for 2 hard drives. You can use an SSD in the adapter currently used for the main drive. The model of hole and the location of the SATA connectors is the same. Bay primary and secondary adapters are a little different and not interchangeable, but if you have one of each, you have everything you need. Post back with more questions.

  • pictures 1.0.1 quit unexpectedly after printing on HP Envy 5640


    I just bought a HP Envy 5640 printer.

    It works very well, but every time I have to print a photo in Photo 1.0.1 NICU OS X 10.10.5, Photos will be leaving after that print is sent to the printer.

    The photo prints fine, but needs pictures to be restarted every time.

    Does anyone have the same problem?

    Any solution?

    I've not seen posted here - but since you are more than a year behind in updates, bug fixes and new features, you can see a verry old bug that has been fixed many years ago for people who follow to this day - unless he ia a clue right for you m = not updated I suggest you backup and update of OS X Sierra = and Photos 2.0 - this never can solve your problem


  • I have a MacBook Pro, who hates contact my HP Envy 7640 printer all-in-one. Printing can take as long as 10 minutes! If it prints at all! Does anyone have similar problems?

    I'm running OS X 10.7.5. on an iMac. I recently bought a HP Envy 5540, connected wireless printer. It fails to print more than one copy at a time. I see nothing in the software or instructions to change it. Help please!

    It is not clear, put you number of copies in the boxes of Copies and pages?

    Can try this...

    Startup HD, (operation key shift key down to start), run the disk utility in Applications > utilities, then highlight your reader, click on repair permissions.

    All devices which appeared already in your list of printers and faxes list should be added again after resetting the printing system.

  • ENVY 15: HP Support Solutions Framework Service - high CPU usage

    ENVY 15, 10 Windows version 1607

    CPU cycles was about 50% this morning and discovered that the HP Support Solutions Framework service was 40 + % permanently.   No problems so far with high utility usage.  Problem started not with the update of the birthday that was filled with 4 days and there are several reboots.

    At a chat session with HP support, but they couldn't help.

    I stopped running - task seems to restart every time I run the HP support assistant and continues with + 40% of CPU usage.

    Any suggestions please?   Y at - it an update utility that I have to download?

    Uninstall HP Support Assistant HP Support Framework in Control Panel > programs and features

    Then, reinstall the latest version of this link

    Following our normal wireless troubleshooting tool is the best way to solve almost all of the cases, but with this specific model with the AMD processor jump directly to make sure that update BIOS F.06 or most recent would be necessary.

    I just bought a new HP Envy 4500 and impossible to access many functions through the online web interface IP address. It keeps to a secure https version and then pops up to ask for a name and a password.

    1. Go to settings-> devices-> devices
    2. Click the Device Manager link at the bottom of the screen.
    3. Open "printers".
    4. Then uninstall/remove the "unknown device" if present.
    5. Restart Windows 10 update.

    It is exepcted, the ePrint print mail attahed content or supported only the files, not the subject of the e-mail:

    Type a subject in the subject line. An empty e-mail subject line can cause the HP ePrint Server cancel the print job.
    E-mail subject lines do not print.

    I recently changed my ISP and they gave me a new router. I set the router upward and printers on wifi and everything works fine, except for scanning.

    The scanner works very well using a generic scanner software but is not a very user-friendly software. So I want to use the HP scanning software.

    When I open the HP Easy Scan it opens fine and the scanner is listed and presets are photo, graphics etc, but when I press 'analysis' it comes back with an error message 'Scanner reported an error' HP ENVY 4520 is currently unavailable. Please check if it is turned on and... »

    From the Applications folder or its subfolder HP, delete all existing scanning from HP and HP Easy Scan by moving it to the trash, and then empty the trash.

    Then install the latest HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:

    If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:

    Finally, make sure that your drivers are up-to-date by clicking the Apple icon, select about this Mac and then press on software update.
    Click on the Bank on the menu bar, click Reload Page, click all update if an update is available.

    Finally, if the problem persists, try restarting your router by unplugging its power for a while, it allows up to 3 minutes to start.

    Once the internet connection returns, restart the Mac and the printer and look for difference ay.

    I have a problem displaying a screen HDMI in on my desk. I have connected my laptop (also HP) to my desktop computer with a screen to HDMI cable. My office does not recognize another screen. My laptop goes white, it recognizes the display on the cable.

    Just installed a new driver for Windows 10: Driver-video card - Nvidia Rev.A, but did nothing after the reboot. The button: HDMI in the left side does not work either.

    I read your great post. The bios is not updated. There is an update of the bios for windows 8.1. I presume that is what got delivered with the PC, and later you upgraded to windows 10.

    You will need a wifi combo card that supports Bluetooth and wifi. Otherwise, your Bluetooth function could disappear from your computer and you must use an external Bluetooth adapter.
