• Assign the new manager through Web portal

  Hello experts,

  I am trying to assign a new manager through Web portal for all users (by going to the people-> assign to the new Manager-> set new manager and date in v7) and the system does not change the Manager. He's not even plan a change, at least nothing shows in respect of deferred operations. In looking at documentation it says it is STANDARD and there is no global configuration setting for this. Everyone knows about this problem before?

  Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm kind of confused because of my friends on my code examination. I just thought that this forum is the right place have the answer

  I develop a very simple screen but I m using feeders to quidon all the placement of objects on the screen.

  I has a high HFM which has 2 tags that is exterme right and the other is on the far left of the hfm screen.this is added to the screen

  There is a value for money including two labels and two basicEditFields.

  There is an another HFM which has two button in what should be at the centre of the screen.

  This button HFM is add in the optimization of the resources that are directly added to the screen

  Now all the alignment of the manipulated by the sublayout methods of the manager.

  According to my friends, I should HAV done this VIA object not via too many Manager and their layouts...

  I want to know are right? or you can suggest a better way?

  In General, having too many managers slows down things. It is generally recommended to have as little as possible nesting Manager.

  That being said, your friend is too complicate things. Managers are there for a reason and you use them for good reasons (to quickly, glancing at your description, this can be done via a single Manager custom without using a lot of nesting of the optimization of the resources/HFM).

  Managers will take care of the tune-up, scrolling, etc.. Fact all through painting is stupid for this use case.

  With the help of de facto managers save time, makes it easily manageable code, reduced the number of errors and makes things simpler to support/extend in the future.

  There are cases where the surrogate object and made everything yourself is preferable, is not. For this particular case, your friend is wrong.

• Host management through a VSphere to another

  Hi all

  I recently installed a second server for VSphere (5.0) to replace our old one (3.5).

  It is best to migrate the virtual machines outside the host, remove it from the old server VCenter and then attach it to the new server?

  Can I leave the virtual machines on the host and always move the new VCenter Server?

  I plan to install ESXi 5 on the hosts, once I get them managed by VSphere 5.0.

  First - make sure you have your license immediately square.  Not sure where you are coming, but I had to install FlexLM on my vCenter5 server and save the vi3 license files and make sure you vC5 saw and read them properly.

  We're also changing the management network, so I created a 2nd console.

  If the hosts are in a cluster, you must disable HA/DRS, evacuate the host in Maintenance Mode, pull the cluster host, get out of Maintenance Mode, you can push back the nonclustered host, repeat, until the cluster is empty.

  Once all non-clustered hosts, you can remove the host of vCenter3 and add the host to vCenter 5, while the guests are still running.

  Then reverse the steps to build your HA cluster in vCenter5.

  Then you can alternate upgrade (new installation) hosts to vSphere 5.

• I accidentally acquired Gmail Manager through Firefox. How can I remove it? Right-clicking does not have such an option.

  Sorry for the inconvenience, but I downloaded an add-on in Firefox called Manager of Gmail, it can be wrong for a different service. It is now on my toolbar, and I can't find a way to remove it.   I find it quite difficult to understand how I would achieve the same results using WinRM, but using the new v3 PowerShell cmdlets (get-CimInstance, New-CimInstance, Set-CimIntance, Invoke-CimMethod, etc.)

  I'm ok, get the basic information from the DRAC using these commands, but I must admit that I am a little lost in how to manage things from the endpoint reference (EPR). Each example of WinRM speak back EPR, then using those of the WinRM method call, but I just can't see how to do this with the new PowerShell commands

  IM asking if someone did or has examples of how do?

  It would be great if the authors of these documents could provide examples in PowerShell v3

• Anyone who has experienced problems with HOL-PRT-1308 - Dell EqualLogic - manage and protect vSphere

  I tried this laboratory several times but it is always empty, there is no VMs on it while in the statement, it is said that there is a center of data, host and VMs already created. Whenever I go it is always not created data center. Also in the statement, it asks you to click Home and I guess to see an icon with the name "Dell Virtual Storage Manager" I don't have that one as well. The laboratory all function with this icon and if you don't have it you can't not do laboratory. I tried to average different places different network just prove who has nothing to do with my network firewall or GPO, not this speed because nor does the House or work. Any help if someone had the same problem.

  I apologize for the difficulties you experience in this laboratory. You are right that this behavior would not be bound to your location network, GPO, or latency because it is all contained in the lab environment.

  I connected to the laboratory, launched the web client and logged on as CORP\Administrator. You connect by checking the "Use Windows session authentication" box on the login screen, or you manually type the credentials?

  

  The manual says to use the box, that's how I connected. You want to make sure it says "[email protected]" in the upper right, once you have connected. Once connected, when I click on the home button, I see the following with the Dell Virtual Storage Managerscreen. It seems that you do not see this icon.

  You must be on a plan to upgrade BC at least a Web marketing plan to set up mail with it. I do not recommend the BC email in any case. Here is a blog post I wrote a while back to get around the limitations of email BC.

• SCVMM and LUN Mapping issue

  We have C7000 blade Gen9 servers and manage through the HP ONEVIEW. We have installed HYPER V and in addition, we have 2 virtual machines running on that. We must create the Windows cluster to that. I therefore created a Virtual SAN Manager and assigned WWN to the virtual machine.

  When you assign the LUNS to the virtual machine, its not detecting not not the OS level. HITACHI V OPEN I added manually in the MPIO, but logic unit number is not visible. When I checked in the Device Manager it shows like device hidden in the server.

  Also I need a suggestion for the below,

  We have virtual machines HYPER v for SCVMM.

  Is it mandatory to have the Windows for SCVMM Failover Cluster in a virtualized environment?
  Also, have we not create HYPER V failover cLUSTER to manage the HYPER-V hosts in SCVMM?
  Cant, we manage the guest individually through SCVMM?
  If we all the Hyper-V cLUSTER, all guests will have 2 a throgh redundancy the Cluster FAILOVER and new to SCVMM. Whats is the best practice.

• Satellite Pro U400 - TrueSuite Manager setup.exe has stopped working

  I have a Satellite Pro U400 running Vista Business (OEM) and at the start of a desktop computer TrueSuite Manager pop-up message appears telling me there is an update to install.

  When I try to install the update, I get a window that says Setup.exe does not work.

  Signature of the problem of the relationship an APPCRASH-is30C0.exe with the exception C0000005 code.

  I tried to uninstall the TrueSuite Manager through Windows uninstaller programs, but get the same message - setup.exe has stopped working.

  Appreciate advice on how to solve this problem.

  I think that it is a simple case of corrupted registry entries and files that could belong to the TrueSuite Manager software.

  I agree with the previous user, and I recommend to reinstall this software again.
  You may need to clean the OS before installing the Truesuite again.
  In this case, I recommend the CCLenaer. It s a simple and free tool and can be downloaded on most Web sites.

• Family safety account - stuck managed

  In 2003-2004 my Microsoft account was handled through a first version of family safety product.  Some time later, the account was promoted to an adult account and is no longer managed by family safety products.  However, it seems to be a persistant problem with my account.  For example, I can't create a group on SkyDrive and get the error message "Windows Live Groups does not support family safety Managed Accounts.".  I am also unable to use options in SkyDrive to share files "share link".  I am also unable to see the options 'Invisible' or 'Available' when I click on my name at the top right of outlook.com.  Also, I don't see the little mail icon that appears directly on the left of the setting icon.

  Here's what I linked to do to solve the problem:

  (1) I have tried other browsers and clear all caches

  (2) that I created a new account to confirm, it was isolated to my account, it is.

  (3) I installed the family safety and has visited the family safety Web site - I see no evidence that my account is managed through family safety.

  I really don't want to switch to a different account of Microsoft because it is related to my xbox live gold account family (where I am the main account) and several other Microsoft services.

  Anyway is not valid restrictions on my account?

  You try to set the IP address of management through SMCIL or you use the serial cable to try & put the IP of management?  When you try to set the IP made it also allow you to set the IP address, subnet mask & gateway and then give you the error or it gives the error right after the address IP is implemented?
