Equipped with mobile broadband with Lenovo B560 / SIM card / no reaction if pushed SIM card

Dear Forum

I have byued "nine" one lenovo B560 - quiet price specifications.

But now I'm trying to connect to internet with my SIM mobile broadband WebClient and do not find a way to do it!

The laptop is equipped with a SIM-Card-Slot-In card and throug this Slot I can see some golden conectors.

But if I turn on wireless with [Fn] + [F5] I can't see the WLAN on/off switch card.

Even the installation of 5 ReadyComm has not resolved my probs.

My mobile is Win7 home premium with the typical standard configuration, no change.

Is there something that I did not?

I appreciate any help, thanks in advance!

Greetings - sand

Hello mate,

It's not because you have a card reader sim you have a modem installed inside.

If your laptop is wwan ready, it comes with the sim card reader and installed antenna, and that's all.

If you don't see the wwan modem in the Fn + F5 menu it is probably because you do not have a modem.

Take a look here to see if you have a wwan modem or not: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/configuration/configuration.html

  • Major problem with Lenovo B560 laptop

Hello, I recently bought a new Lenovo B560 laptop about a month and half ago and it works very well. However, two days ago, I was playing a MMORPG called Aion very well and decided to go down so I stop the laptop after leaving the program, then later that night I turned on the computer laptop and everything which appeared is a white screen! (the strange thing is that it loads the user login process again because I still have sound on my laptop and it plays the little sound for when the login screen has been worn) I tried many solutions online, but none of them worked, so I decided to come here to see if anyone has a solution. I tried removing the battery and the power cord while pressing the power button method, and even the method Fn + F5, but those who did nothing. So if you have any other suggestions let me know, thanks in advance.

I would also like to speak to an administrator about what to send my laptop for Lenovo for repairs because it is under warranty. I tried to look on the Web site where to contact them by e-mail or otherwise, because I had not the time to call for support, so if a moderator, administrator, etc. might help me understand what I need to do, I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks to advanced with everyone.

This usually indicates a hardware problem.
LCD, lcd cable or on-board graphics chip.

Try an external monitor, if you have not already.
    Display the results.

    Remove and re-install the RAM.
    Display the results.

You, like the rest of us, will have to wait Windows 10 becomes a release for the manufacture of operating system.

It is currently only a technical preview and has no support any manufacturer. When he was released, manufacturers will respond and we will know what hardware devices will be supported.

You can always try to install the ADSL of Sierra Wireless HP un2420 Mobile "Driver package version 3.5.1308.3911" in compatibility mode.

I just got my ThinkPad X 230 (which is adorable!) and bought a 3 SIM card to use with the Ericsson mobile broadband, I've specified with it. Lenovo access connections displays the transmitter 3 and tries to connect, but I was not able to work at all. Any ideas? It starts by not being able to find the provider, but changing 3 3-3 GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, 3 G only results in a connection failed and the log of the errors below. Any ideas? • Portege R830 - forcing mobile broadband using 3 G/HSDPA with Win 8

    Hi all

Updated my Portege R830 to Windows 8 without problem.

Given that most of the Wireless Manager functionality has been moved in the Windows, I can not find where I can "force" the connection to 3 G/HSDPA.

I live in an area where the signal is insufficient and if I let the network default settings, it frequently goes to the strongest EDGE connection. I connected with Wireless Manager, using only 3 G/HSDPA where 2 bars were sufficient for everyday tasks.

Moments of light bulb? (Travel is unfortunately not an option... ;))

Hmm, I think that this parameter isn't available in 8 Win.

Microsoft provides a nice article on configuring broadband to help to win 8 and mentioned configuration isn't it:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/mobile-broadband-from-start-to-finish

From my understanding the best signal to broadband will be selected and used if it is available.,.

  • R7000 as router with the router for mobile broadband Internet

Hey guys. First of all, my apologies for my somewhat inadequate English skills. Secondly, I am brand new to the community, so apologies in advance for any fault :-) Third stop, apologize for having a complete beginner :-D

So, for the issue: I recently bought a router top mobile broadband 4G (4 G MBR) to my apartment, because of the gap of strength and speed signal very low quality of the cable to the ground on my Street (fiber is to come next year).

But the router provided by my operator isn't on par with my router R7000 Nighthawk when he comes to reach wifi, wifi speed, number of outputs of LAN and power of the processor.

So, I want to use my R7000 my router, the internet signal from the air to the 4G MBR, then by cable to the WAN of the R7000.
In other words; I want to just 4G MBR to simply pass / transfer the internet signal to my nighthawk R7000 router so I can use the R7000 as my router, LAN and wifi.

How can I set this up?

    Thanks for your help!

Update: the MBR has been no help at all. As far as I could tell, there is no possibility to bridge or pass-through mode. The R7000, as she does the work. I just put it in AP mode, adjust all the wired connections DHCP/auto IP assign and everything works great.

  • Venue 7 mobile broadband via SIM card

Someone used a SIM card on the Tablet 7 meeting place to connect to mobile broadband?  I'm moving in Europe and thinking buying a SIM card for use during a trip.  I wanted to see if anyone has experience linking a Tablet 7 place via a SIM card.  Thanks for any help.

    Hello

In this case, you can use the sim card and continue to use technology top mobile broadband on this system so the system was delivered with a WWAN or card mobile broadband. Then you can check if the WWAN card is seen in the BIOS, and if it is enabled. Also finally if the WWAN card seen in cellular devices.

I hope this helps, but if there are questions more respond to this post with the operating system and the information of service tag (sent via private message) so that I can look into the details of the system.

    Have a nice day ahead.

    Kind regards

  • Can I connect to mobile broadband, I have a 3 G SIM

    Hello

    I am in Europe.

My X 220 has a SIM slot and is 'mobile broadband ready.

It is, he has a built-in 3G modem? Or is "mobile broadband ready" refers to something less than that?

I put in the internet broadband SIM in the phone (wasn't sure about the direction of the SIM card) and can not select the option "mobile broadband" in the form of the access connections from Lenovo, in the box ThinkVantage tools.

    Thank you!

The slot when you install this player mSATA is also the internal WWAN slot... Unfortunately you can't have 3 G internal and mSATA simultaneously.
