Equium 60 - remove the keyboard, upgrading RAM

How to remove the keyboard to access the 256 MB of RAM, which is apparently below? The screws are marked with a reference for example B8. Who are those to unscrew?
Another thing to watch Anyything?

Thank you

Why would you remove the keyboard?
Memory module compartment is placed at the bottom of the unit and that a single screw secures the cover of the location.

In addition he laptop support 256 MB internal memory! This memory is not removable! So you will not have to remove the keyboard!

I think everything should be clear now.

Good bye

    Hello

I do not work for HP, I think that the degree of disassembly required to access the memory Module might well viod your warranty.

The procedure is described starting on Page 41 of your & Maintenance Guide.

This portable soup spilled on the keyboard and now will not start, even with a wired USB keyboard. I want to disconnect the internal keyboard, because it seems that is what causes the problem. (I have experience). But I don't see how.

  • How can I remove the keyboard of the Equium L40?

    Hello
I'm new to this Forum so I acknowledge everything first. I'm about to work on a Toshiba laptop that needs replaced keyboard, so I thought that this is the best place to come for good advice - since I can't find a service manual for this model.

Has anyone worked on this model and if so, maybe they could kindly offer some tips on removing the keyboard. (As someone has a service manual for this as well?)

    Thanks and regards, Dave

Service manuals are only available ASP. It is not for end-users.

To remove the keyboard, remove the screws that secure the lower part of the keyboard on the bottom.
Turn the laptop over and lift the keyboard.

But if you have no experience with this, ask a technician for help.
Disassemble a laptop is a bit tricky.

  • Satellite C855 - 2 EV: how to remove the keyboard to replace the WLan

    Recently, I bought a Toshiba Satellite C855 - 2 EV.
As the performance of the wireless network card is a little disappointing, I bought a replacement NIC.

However when I tried to change the map, I was unable to open the laptop.
There are a few screws under the keyboard that must be unscrewed before being opened.

Unfortunately I could not remove the keyboard.
Does anyone know how the keyboard can be removed?

    Thank you!

I hope you know that replacement of a card WLAN or upgrade is not supported for doing something like that will void you the warranty. Another thing is the compatibility. Toshiba doesn't offer information on compatible WLAN cards so I m asking you already bought the new wireless network card.

Are you sure that it will properly work 100%?
Please think twice before you do anything. In my opinion, it is not good idea to cancel the warranty for the new laptop.

  • How to remove the keyboard on my Satellite Pro C850 - 14 c

    Hey, quick question.

How can I remove the keyboard of the laptop inside to give a cleaning?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I read that it is not very easy
You will need to remove the CD/DVD drive first.
Then, you will need to use a plastic stick to push the back of the keyboard of the ODD housing slot. The keyboard should be pushed until it lifts the corner on the upper surface of the case.
Then using the same slice of plastic lever to insert between the keyboard and top box, then gently lift the edges of the keyboard until all locks are unlocked.

By the way: this would be the warranty

  • Satellite R630-14 days-how do I remove the keyboard?

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite R630-14 days, and I would remove keyboard to clean.
I tried to remove the plastic between the keys case, but I could not.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    > I would like to remove from the keyboard to clean.
In my opinion it of not necessary to remove the keyboard to clean it up.

First of all it of possible to remove the single key top. In which case you would not be able to remove dirt, you can first remove the CAP. But be careful...

In your case, I would use a piece of cotton and a few drops of alcohol to clean the keyboard

  • How do I remove the keyboard of a Portege R400

Can someone give me more detailed information about how to remove the keyboard of my R400. I want to insert the SIM card, but I'm worried about damaging my new laptop.

    Thank you very much
    G. Elmo

    Hi mate,

To add or remove a SIM card, you must perform the following steps:

    1. your machine must be OFF!
    2. Remove and unplug any cable attached and device (USB, parallel, etc.)
    3. remove the battery
    4. remove the keyboard by pulling cover upward where are the grooves on each side of the hood. You can also use a small flat blade screwdriver or your nails to pull up.
    5. remove the 2 screws that hold the keyboard down.
6 pull the keyboard slowly and gently up, you pull it toward you.
    7. the SIM card slot is on the right side of the motherboard, pull the crack slightly on the left side to pull up. It s like the removal of a SIM of a mobile phone :)
8 put the SIM card into the slot. The smart gold SIM card must be on top. (You should see the chip during the installation of the card)
    9. click on the slot facing downwards and push it gently to the right to lock it.
10 install the keyboard by placing the clips under the palm rest.
    11 Don t forget the screws ;)
    12 and the keyboard cover.
    13 fact.

PS: Thanks for reading my text, if you want to send me money, gold or champagner just ask for my address. ;)

    Good luck and good weekend

  • Satellite L745 - how to remove the keyboard safely?

    Hello, people!

I need help please. As the topic says, how to remove the keyboard?
It's because I shared tea on my keyboard and, fortunately, no key was damaged. However, now it is sticky, and it is quite annoying!

Can someone please help me with the entrance keys, Shift, back space * and other small keys at home.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sticky Keys?
I really put t know if you will be able to clean the little mechanism under the CAP.

OK you can try it. What you need to do is remove the key cap first. Pull it gently on the floor. It is set with small farmers in plastic. When the CAP is removed, you can check the situation and try to clean it up.

When finished put the CAP in place and push it all smoothly. You will hear clicking noise and everything should be OK again. Do it for all the keys.

Please take it very easy. If you damage this small mechanism you can immediately order new lkeyboard.

  • How to remove the keyboard on Satellite L850?

Nobody here knows how to remove the keyboard on a L850 or can point me in the direction of the repair?
Older models had a band at the top that does this is very simple, but this model seems to be sealed in.

    Hello

Fix locks around the keyboard. So to remove it, you will need to insert your finger into the left hold of lid and push keyboard corner, so let corner keyboard appears.
As far as I know there are 14 latches on the lid of the keyboard:
    -6 down,
-1 lock on the right and 1 bolt left side
    -6 latches in front.
