Equium L10 will not enter OS after recovering with disc A60
I accidentally restarted my L10 of A60 recovery disc, it seemed to work until I went to reboot my computer and now the screen is just blank and the PC does not boot to windows. I was going to put the L10 recovery disc in and start again until I realized that I can't, all I have is the disk A60.
Can you help me on this?
Thank you
Cara Hayes
For me it sounds very amazing that you were able to install the recovery on the L10 A60 image. To my knowledge, it is not possible to use different recovery images
But anyway, it is not unusual that the portable computer cannot enter the operating system if you have used a false image.
I think that there is not much to do. Either you will start from the recovery CD Toshiba L10 or you will use the original CD of Microsoft Windows.
If you used the Windows CD, you must also install the Toshiba drivers which you can download from the Toshiba driver page.

Please help - my Equium L10 will not start.
Power supply is OK. When the power is connected the orange battery light comes on. I press the power button the green power light turns on momentarily (literally a Flash), then both the Green and orange lights out with orange alone returning it on about 2 seconds later.
Else does nothing - no fan activity, no hard disk, no activity of the screen activity, no other light - you get the picture!
I tried the following:
Removed battery and tried to start with AC power not only - no joy
Removed AC power and I tried booting with battery only - no joy
Barrette of RAM removed and reinstall - no joyDoes anyone have ideas before considering a tech? Suggestions (with the exception where to paste!) would be welcome.

Hmm .He doesn't sound good. For me, it looks like a motherboard problem. It is maybe something wrong with electronic power to the Board of Directors of s. But not for sure.
What you can do is to remove the battery and unplug the power adapter for a while.
Wait about 20 minutes and connect the battery and adapter for the laptop. Then try turning on the laptop computer.
If this does not help I recommend contact the ASP technician, because I don t think you will be able to know what's exactly wrong. So I hope that the technician can find the fault quickly and can solve this problem.
Good luck

R51 new HARD drive will not restore factory correctly state with discs
I caught a HDD of 80 GB on old computer my gf, and I thought I would use it to replace the 40 GB hard drive in my ThinkPad R51. There is not really important info on my old hdd, so I just created a factory recovery disks, put on the new hard drive (both are PATA) and ran from Rescue and Recovery. After completing restore to factory state all the new hard drive will do is Rescue and new Recovery charge. It does not load Windows. Is there anything else I need to do?
Shot in the hip here, but ISTR that some versions of R & R restore the image of 'restoration' in HD, then you restart to R & R and run a restore it to complete the restore of the rest of the car.
As I said, just something I've seen elsewhere. Worth, perhaps,

Hi David,
Install and activate the original operating system provided with the computer first (I guess it's XP).
Update to upgrade to Vista, then use the Vista product key that you used at the time to update (because it works now as you WILL upgrade and do not try to install only a facility full after an installed clean).
Good luck!

Windows 7, will not accept an XP program, with on a d3drm.d11... How to fix... Thank you
Hi Ron,
To provide the proper resolution, that I would need more information on your side.
1. What is the name of the program that does not open?
2. What is the accurate and complete error message?
3. when, exactly, you get this error message? It is by running the program or the installation of the program? This problem can occur if the program is not compatible with Windows 7.
Method 1:
I suggest you try to open the program in compatibility mode. Check if it helps.Make older programs in this version of Windows
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows
Method 2:
If the problem persists, you can try to install XP Mode and then try to run the program in XP Mode.Note: XP Mode only works with Windows 7 Professional and ultimate edition. Try these steps if you are using Windows 7 Professional and ultimate edition.

Equium L300 - will not install anything other than Microsoft downloads
Equium L300 put up-to-date with Windows 7. I'm a novice PCs which concerns so any help welcome. My laptop will not install 'programmes' (for example Java AVG etc etc) to the bottom of charges, ask to run and then nothing happens. It is used to!
I tried just about everything I can think but now can't see the forest for the trees. I stand to lose 50 pounds after he tried to update my sat nav!
Hmmm... It's strange. Right click on setup.exe and run as administrator. In addition, disable the firewall/antivirus.

Equium L10 does not recognize any PCMCIA wireless card I install
Hello
I just bought a brand new Toshiba Equium L10 and I can't get any wireless card to install. I tried different models of Belkin, Netgear and MSI, which works perfectly well on other laptops, but not on this one.
The L10 is a clean build of Windows XP SP2 directly from the retailer and I am using the following steps to install the wireless network card:
1. start Windows XP SP2 and log in as administrator
2. run the software for the wireless card
3. Insert the wireless cardAt this point, windows only recognizes the card as an ethernet adapter wireless and will not install the drivers. Even if I manually install and specifically point to the correct directory, it fails to pick up the pilots still and says that there is nothing in the directory for the material that I install.
I have the latest version of the BIOS for the L10 and have tried all the following features without result:
1. disable the legacy USB support in the BIOS
2 disable built in ethernet
3. run the Diagnostics of PC from Toshiba (reports that everything works just fine including PCMCIA)
4 rebuild provided using DVD from Toshiba laptopDoes anyone have an idea what could be wrong? It drives me crazy and I've never had this kind of problem with any other laptop. Is this a defect known with Toshiba laptops and what is the solution?
Is this a problem with Win XP SP2? Is my laptop defective? Thanks in advance.
Kind regards
K.

You can post the details of this card?
Have you contacted the manufacturing of PCMCIA card for support? Maybe there is a new version of driver for this card.I've noticed some problems with Vodafone on a Satellite P10 PCMICA card. This card caused a blue screen on the unit. Well, the deactivation of the hyper-threading technology in BIOS has solved this problem. On other maps, the new version of driver also solved some strange problems.
However, what I would say it is there are a lot of things that could be a bad influence.
First of all I recommend you ask the card to support manufacturing.

Satellite Pro L10 will not start - the LED blinks
I have a pro l10 phone which, after sutting down as battery not return to life. All I get is 8 flashes on battery led when the button is pressed. It's the same area only, battery only or both.
It sounds bad
Generally, the laptop LED flashes as there might be a hardware malfunction.
The LED provide a microcode and the technician can read this code.
A common user is not able to read. OK maybe you can read it, but you will not find any description about the meaning of the code.
That is why it s a good idea to contact the technician in your countryBut as a first step, try this:
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Wait 20 - 30 minutes and then plug in the battery and plug in the AC adapter. -
Satellite Pro L10 will not start
Hi guys,.
I have a Sat Pro L10 and I have a few problems with it. When I load up, I can enter the BIOS and everything seems fine, however, the date and time does not. I can't ge start beyond that point, it crashes just with a cursor flashing at the top left. The same goes for when I try and boot from CD. When I go out and put the battery back, I get a message saying WARNING CMOS Checksum failed - using the old configuration, F1 to resume or F2 to enter setup. I press F1 and the same again, just a flashing crusor.
If anyone can help me diagnose this problem and fix it, it would be much more appreciated.
Best regards
JamesHello
At first read s manual, page 100 as well as page 104. You will find explanations on CMOS Checksum failed.
