I have a BT Home Hub and for the last two weeks both my desktop or my laptop have experienced difficulties.   Regarding your question: the battery must not be connected to start the machine, so if the machine start-up even won´t just with connected AC then you can be sure that there is a serious hardware problem.

  Maybe some settings are not enabled in the--> sound & audio devices Control Panel
  If you want to get the volume control in the taskbar then you must activate this in sound & audio devices-> Volume tab-> check the option called icon volume space in the taskbar

  I have a problem with my wife, Equium L20-197 in XP, when you try to sync with an ipod shuffle (gen2). Will not mount on my computer, is not detected by itunes, but is present in Device Manager but the report he needs a driver to operate properly.

  I recently bought an Equium L20-197 and I thought to install a larger HARD drive.
  I wanted to know what the maximum size of HARD drive that can be installed on an Equium L20-197 (I guess it's 120 GB, as it is on the L20-187 but I'm not 100% sure)

  I have also been seaching for the IDE drives and found a list of sites who have PATA, ATA100 etc. are also the IDE drives? (I checked the wiki and articles all point Yes, but a little more confirmation would not hurt)

  I was also wondering if the HARD drive I install must be brand toshiba (or if it even makes a difference).
