  I hope that one/some experts out there can give me a simple explanation (repetition) regarding the following:

  I need to create a project covering 10 topics.

  Each topic will have its own specific slide of the topic - however, I want to introduce, at the beginning of the project, a single slide with all 10 topics - for example in a Board of 5 x 2 and each section would be a button indicating the name of the specific topic.

  I want learners to be able to click on any button in the topic (free choice) - be taken to specific slide of the topic and then return to the Office of the topic.

  The topic chosen previously would now be grayed out (disabled).

  They must continue to take all the remaining sections - again in an order any they like.

  After clicking on the final topic and after finishing on the specific form of the subject, they advance to final slides to then leave the project.

  Is that too much like herding cats, and thus a non-starter for a novice like me, or is it a fairly simple way to achieve?

  I would like to build a navigation menu that is usually found in Flash interfaces, but since I don't know Flash, I would like to know if someone could suggest other ways to accomplish this task.

• "Slide to Unlock" missing in iOS 10

  Got my iPhone 6 s upgraded to the new iOS10 and the kind of love him so far with a few basic things missing that are really bothering me. • You can get cot "Navigate visited slides only" to work on mobile devices?

  The recent update of CP9 fixed some important bugs for mobile devices, but I still find that when I use the option "Navigate visited slides only" in the Table of contents to restrict navigation this can always be undone on mobile devices by dragging left or right.

  Is there a solution for this? I know I could disable gesture of support, but the double click to switch the table of contents is very convenient, especially on small devices. I don't see an option to specify that certain actions on the edition. Is this fixed in the next update?

  Hi André,.

  Navigate to sliding visited only option is OCD related. That is, you cannot navigate to any slide by OCD if the blade is not visited. However, you are allowed to go to the next and previous slide through game bar buttons / or drag gestures.

  How ever if you want to restrict navigation gestures by slide you could do that in cp9 uncheck the option 'allow the gesture Navigation' which is present under properties (slide).

  I'm creating a captivate template (*.cptl) and when I go to Insert menu in film, the "placeholder Slides" mode, it is grayed out. I already read a few posts here who say that it must be enabled to captivate the model files. So no idea where I make a mistake?

  I found the problem. I created a new empty project as you said (in the floating of captivate when window opens) and the options were not present. When I created this new file, he was named untiled.cptx. Then, I realized that when I started with my current template file, I started from a blank project too from the window floating and registered as a model. That's the problem. As you said that it worked for you, for a new CPTL file, on the file menu, I created a new project of the GET template file go and then those options were available.

  So this is a weird problem where Captivate allows you to save your file not saved as a file CPTL CPTX. But in doing so, it does not allow option placeholder to slide the Insert menu! Who would have thought that!

  Bland, horizontal and vertical are nice but boring.  Are there plans to get more transition in slide show effects, as some of those PowerPoint as:

  -Horizontal blinds

  -Vertical blinds

  -Box

• Toggle audio on a slide background

  In Captivate 7, it was easy to find a setting to turn on or off background audio to individual slides. Where is this setting in Captivate 8?

  The option will appear in the Options on the slide tab, when you insert another audio clip. Limited to IMO, because you can read audio as a peak or an audio object action.

  

  I certainly journalisera it like a bug, because in CP7, it was possible to decide if the background sound is stopped even if there was no audio for this slide slide.

• Introduce the tool button is not available for a question slide

  Scott, if you look a little closer at the Lynda tutorial, what happens is that they have set up an action if the user has not replied to the question correctly. The action led them to a slide in the presentation. Note that the blade they edited after the fact (it was slide 5) was a typical shift, NOT a question slide. Thus, the option was there to insert a button.

  I sent a Captivate 7 file to a translation company, and when I came back from their share of the feature click question slide anywhere to continue after that you get a correct answer did not work. Anyone know what could be going on here?

  Is this the same company that screwed up the buttons? Maybe it's someone else. Really, don't send a CP file to a translator, but export captions to Word or XML to send these files.

  No idea what can happen here. The slides are always linked with the master Question slides? The legend 'click '. ' is the second step in the submission process. Check the default labels in Quiz preferences: the text still there? Also check the Options for the slide in Question: is the correct legend checked?

  Is it possible to add a demo video of the project in the middle of another Captivate project which consists of slides from Captivate ordinary? If so, how would I go all this?

  Hi Jay,.

  Yes, did a lot of times (there was one of my first questions during the previews as well). There are different possibilities:

  1. Create the project of cpvc (video), publish it on MP4 and insert it into the MP4. This isn't my choice if I plan well before, because you must pass to the cpvc, if you want to change something in the video.
  2. Start with a cptx project and instead create a separate video, use the option insert record Slide, demo. The slide after registration will resemble a FMR slide, but you can change it of in the cptx file, the video editor you know since the cpvc files opens when you choose to edit the slide video. I mainly use this approach, but I have a lot of RAM on my desktop PC. Maybe not the best choice if the system is more limited.
  3. If the number of regular slides, project is especially video, you can add more static objects in the cpvc file directly. She will end up like a long video. My YouTube videos have been created this way.

• Insertion of video file in question slide

  Hi again.  You are right.  Version 5.5 doesn't have this option to Pause slide.  But in 5.5, the Insert > option FLV or F4V does include the slide to break until the end of the video option in the properties.  Insert > video Slide allows .3gp, .mp4, .mov and .avi also files, but they will launch Adobe Media Encoder to convert the FLV or F4V file.  So I suggest that you use this option instead of insert > video Slide.  But the two insert options should work OK.  With Insert > video Slide, you just do the chronology of the slide with the video as long as the video is.  But you always define the properties of the slide on the output to go to the slide last visit.
