Tecra A10-13 a - cannot disable the touchpad more

Dear users,

I hope that the question was not mailed before.

Symbol of the touch and the launch is is more shown in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. FN + F9 works to disable the touchpad.
What verification Toshiba via programs, utility, the utility touchpad is no longer there (perhaps cc-cleaner has erased).
How can I reinstall this feature or turn off my touchpad? I can't find it in the control panel or the other.

Thanks in advance

Michael

Hello

I agree with you: probably the driver for the touchpad has been cleared

But there s no problem because you can download it from the official website of Toshiba:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

After installing the touchpad driver symbol in the taskbar should reappear and you should be able to turn off once again.

  • Tecra M9 Win7 x 64 driver required to disable the touchpad

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 x 64 on my Toshiba Tecra and everything works great so far. But I have trouble with my touchpad.

The touchpad works, the problem is, I want to put out of service. I only work with the stick and the touchpad causes an arrow of jumping mouse; with the tap function to click very often large sections of text are deleted.

Under Vista 32, I was able to disable the touchpad. Und Win 7 that I miss this feature. I tried several things; e.g. installation of drivers more portable Toshiba or from synaptics page or, Alternatively, drivers for keyboards-Alps. But nothing works.

The laptop is a Tecra M9 PTMB0E; the PCI ID of the touchpad is PNP0F13

    Thank you

    Hello

The Alps Electric to another Toshiba laptop touchpad driver should work because the touchpad is the same.
So Don t understand why you are not able to install the driver for the touchpad.

Usually the touchpad can be disabled using FN + F9 function.
To get the functionality of the FN button that you need to install VAP and Flash memory card Support utility. I chose two other series of satellites (L500) applications.

    Try this.

  • How to disable the touchpad on my Tecra M10 - 10H?

I just want to know if it is possible to disable the touchpad and is so, how, please?

What I tried (which did not work):

    1. by pressing Fn + F9.

    2. go to "Mouse properties" and looking for an option to disable the touchpad it.

After reading your ad, I must say that we don't know anything about your laptop.
What operating system do you use?
FN keys work or not in general?
Is the driver for the touchpad that is installed or not?

In my opinion, you must visit the download page of Toshiba on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and install driver touchpad and additional package from Toshiba. After making this check please if FN + F9 works. If this isn't the case, you should be able to disable touchpad in the mouse properties. After installation of the Synaptics driver new additional tab will be added to the device settings, and you will find option toggle.

    Hello

You do not need to disable the touchpad in Device Manager.
Either you use the combination of keys FN Fn + F9 to turn off the touchpad or you will do this in Control Panel.

You can find the option in the control panel-> mouse-> last tab (device settings)
It you should check the options such as properties or settings I'm not quite sure how it would be called in your case m

Stop your X 301, then turn on. When the ThinkPad logo appears, immediately press F1 to enter in the
The BIOS configuration utility. If your system has a set supervisor password then you will need to type it in demand.

Use the cursor keys to navigate through the menus until you find the one that bears on the TouchPad. Toggle the active setting to disabled. Press ESC until you return to the main Menu. Now save the settings of the BIOS update, and then restart Windows.

Make sure that you do not inadvertently to other BIOS settings.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1420.  Recently walking from Vista to Windows 7.  In Vista, I had the Mouse/touchpad settings set to disable the touchpad when a USB mouse is connected.  Cannot find the menu/right screen now put back in Windows 7.  Cannot not even find any indication of a touchpad or software for this anywhere in the menus of the program or the material.  Don't want to permanently disable the touchpad, just at the moment where a mouse is connected. Looking for step by step instructions, please!

Contact Dell and ask where you can get Windows 7 software support for the touchpad that is adapted to your laptop. Dell tells you, it is possible that software exist on the Synaptics or Alps support pages, but you need to know who of the touchpad is equipped... I see you are having a problem with the touchpad does not disable. Did you by chance a look at the post which explains how to disable the touchpad?

If you do not have by chance I'll re-post the answer here:

    To do this...

    Go to the control panel.

    ·         Go to mouse properties windows and click on device settings

    ·         Highlight the Synaptic Touchpad and click settings

    ·         In the properties of Synaptic Touchpad Windows on the left and the Panel you will see Touchpad Disable Zone, click it.

    ·         Uncheck the box 'double-tap to activate or disable the Touchpad'

    ·         Click OK

If this does not work by chance, let me know. Also, if you have any questions please ask me.

What model of laptop Qosmio do you have exactly?
In some cases, the BIOS displays the option to enable and disable the touchpad (pointing device).

Have you checked whether its active in BIOS?

In addition, it would be interesting to know if the touchpad worked before the external wireless mouse no longer works.
