Eraser tool missing? Photoshop CC

My Eraser tool has disappeared from the toolbar, everyone has fallen on this?  My only two options there are Magic Eraser tool and background Eraser tool.  I went through all the discussions help and search on google, nothing helps.  Someone has any idea how to get it back?  Thank you in advance!

    Hi all

I am currently CS5.5 Photoshop 64-bit and all of a sudden my soft brush Eraser sharp is missing.

I tried the option 'reset the brushes', which did not solve the problem. I copied the files brush from another computer at \Presets\Brushes C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (64-bit) that also has not solved the problem. Anyone have any other suggestions before that I try uninstall/reinstall?

Looks like you have the Mode for the eraser, pencil instead of brush value tool.

Hi, Travo, looks like you aren't in Photoshop, Illustrator, but!

That's what you get when you open the Eraser tool in Photoshop CS6:

However, I imagine that you see this instead:

Illustrator is not the background Eraser tool because it is not a photo editing software, it publishes the vector illustrations. You can try to see if you have installed photoshop? This is the icon of the program:

  • Photoshop doesn't let me shift-click with the Eraser tool. Help?

Hi people! My copy of Photoshop CC 2014 doesn't let me shift-click with the tool eraser to erase a straight line with one single click to another (brush and other tools not working). Is this a known bug? Or make me something tilt that I don't know?

    Thank you!

One way to know is to reset the Eraser tool. If something was off this command he would set it back to default values.

Here's the text, the example tool, but simply select the Eraser tool and right-click to sound ' icon above the Toolbox.

  • Frustrating feature tool Eraser/Brush in Photoshop Cs6

Really hope that I accidentally turned on something with a touch of order because everyone I spoke with said it's a weird question, but here we go:

For some reason any my brush and Eraser tools both refuse to clean lines. It's okay if I'm dragging or using the click shift + click option for a straight line, my results are "wavy" and I can't seem to figure how to get rid of it. Ive messed with settings and asked around, and nobody seems to have an answer.

Reduce the spacing to 1% will help you.

In the brush Panel, click Brush Tip shape and then move the spacing slider all the way left or 1%

I don't know when exactly it started, but I can't understand how to get the right Eraser tool back to work like an eraser

Yes, your opacity is set at 20%. Set it to 100%, and the gum will happen as you wish.

  • How can I get Eraser Tool E to the eraser (No E) tool

I'm using CS5.  I have attached 2 photos, one of them annotated and flattened the layers I have many times.

I opened it later because I want to erase a part of what I wrote and find that I only Eraser Tool E.

I tried every conceivable type of photo, but nothing affects the gum e.

Does anyone know how one chooses Eraser Tool E?  It seems to me that's what I did.

    How to deselect one?

In a Mac uninstaller is in the same folder as the application.   / Applications/adobe Photoshop CS5/uninstall Adobe Photoshop CS5.

If you think that your installation discs are defective, download installer CS5 here: Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products

After uninstallation, run the cleanup tool use the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems

If you are running a later version of Mac OS x, soaps that CS5 is "unsigned" and security of Mac may have a problem with it.

Disable it temporarily by assigning the value "Anywhere."

    > Have to scroll the canvas - press 'e', the tool change records now has scrolled beyond the canvas.

I've recently upgraded from Photoshop CS5 to CS6 and can't seem to understand this issue. I have tried rebooting my computer, my preferences reset tool, reinstall photoshop and reinstall the driver of my Tablet: none of them seem to fix my problem. (For the record, I'm using a graphic tablet Wacom Intuos 5, but using my keyboard for input, not the express keys buttons).

    Any ideas?

As a digital artist, this issue greatly disturbs my workflow, so it's really frustrating.

  • Need to run out of the Eraser tool - reload

At the same time in PS cs5, I could just grab the Eraser tool, the value of the 100% hardness and completely erase anything under the cursor. Now at 100% hardness I have to click on it like x 50 or more to completely erase whats under the cursor. This problem has been gradual, it seems. 2 weeks ago I could click 8 x in the same place and who would erase completely.

It feels like I'm out of eraser. What is happening here? Is there a pref for this?

    Fade erase.png

Just right click on the Erasor and you should be good to go. He'll hit the Erasor settings to their default values.

If this does not help, reset preferences should be more effective:

Hold down the CTRL - Shift - Alt (Alt-Cmd-Shift) immediately after the cold Photoshop start.  If you get the keys to the low enough - quickly and you have to be VERY fast - it prompts you to confirm the removal of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being the default value.

  • Magic - only partial Eraser tool erases

I had to reinstall Photoshop (part of Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium CS6) as my PC is dead.

Since - whenever I tried to use the Magic Eraser tool, I need to click on the part I want to clear about 10 times before it finally disappeared. Whenever I click on it, it loses a little more of the color, but it can be very difficult to see if the completely disappeared if I try to get a transparent background.

I am sure that this has never happened before, and I don't see any setting that controls this. A search here and the internet was also futile (sorry if this is here).

Any suggestions = it would save me a lot of time and ease my frustration.

    Thank you - lee

Have you checked the setting opacity on the Magic Eraser?

  • Eraser tool does not?

Adobe photoshop cs6 and assistance with the opacity and flow at 100%, using brush or pencil in the correct layer tool, I have questions, get Eraser tool to work.  Any ideas?

A thought can be save and reopen the case if crop you the image, or change its color mode.

I fear that it means what it says: you cannot go further back than the culture you've probably run, because it's now the size of the image. Another solution is to crop later.

  • CC numbers: Eraser Tool Lag + occasional inability to switch tools

Having two problems when I use CC. I use Windows 7 64-bit.

The first is that my Eraser tool accused wrong when using my Tablet (Wacom Intuos 5 average). It seems it seems very well with a mouse, however. But using my tablet, he feels that if he does not move in slow motion, almost as if there is some sort of "stabilizing" on it. It is the only tool that does this; pen my tool, etc. are very good. I spent the Eraser brush and the problem persists.

Second, sometimes Photoshop will refuse to pass tools. When this happens, it's always got stuck on the pen tool. I choose other tools, but the pointer will still look like and use the pen tool. The only way to solve this problem is to restart Photoshop.

This looks like a bug fixed in their tablet Wacom drivers last year.

Make sure that you have updated the driver for your tablet.
