  I bought two upgrades for CS6 and Lightroom 4.  I downloaded the updates on my MAC desktop.  Everything was fine.  When I searched for them in CCP, he showed CS5 and CS6 and the same thing for Lightroom 3 and 4 of Lightroom.  Should I delete CS5 and Lightroom 3?  Thanks in advance.

  Do not hesitate to remove older versions, if you are reasonably sure you have migrated all of your files and have no technical problems. Just make sure to run the appropriate uninstall programs, trash not only the apps. Also, be warned that you may need to reinstall LR4 and CS6 to fix broken files and components that are shared as bridge associations...

  For CS6, you can create using ScriptUI panels, to add a Panel in the window menu.

• Installed CC and my manager CC points only updates for CS6 and says 'Install' next to the CC version

  I don't know why this is, but my CC Manager now only displays updates for CS6 programs and it says 'Install' next to the CC version. I already have the latest CC versions installed on my PC, but now they do not receive the updates.

  Any ideas how to make it work once again, I don't want to have to re - download and install again. I clicked on install Adobe prelude CC and it seems to go through the installation process, as if I have already installed it. Please see attachment

• Serial number on creative Suite 5.5, design standard is not recognized and the code error 5 for Indesign and illustrator

  I need my Mac operating system reloaded and now can no longer access create Suite 5.5 Design Standard after I installed it.

  I am currently Mac OS x version 10.8.5

  When I try to open InDesign or Illustrator I get a message that said "configuration error 5." and I am encouraged to contact 'support Adobe' (what I've done and they are no help at all) and when I try to open Adobe Photoshop and enter the serial number of my product, it says "this serial number is not valid for this product".

  Hi Rocketron,

  Sometimes patches seem to just have a hard time to proceed with the installation.  I have a fw for to look you at other things.  First of all, your Background Intelligent Transfer Services set to Automaticand started and Windows Update ? You can check these settings by typing services.msc in the search box of the start menu.

  Sometimes in order to get patches to install correctly, you must perform these tasks manually.

  (1) Download Center to visit Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx.
  (2) search for each update code that begins with the letters "KB" and followed by a set of numbers (i.e. KB979309).
  3) click on the link for the download and then click on download and run.  You must accept the agreement and then click on continue.
  (4) repeat this process for each download of updates Windows could not install.
  (5) to rerun the update from Microsoft, click find updates.  If all goes well, it will show that you are completely patched.

  If this does not work, try to run the Microsoft OneCare safety scanner.  Sometimes it will solve problems of hidden registry, or erase viruses can prevent the installation of patches: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm. Click full service scan, and then Quick scan (full scan takes a long time to complete). Try the patches.

  I have a small Windows x 64 Console statically linked to oci.lib (12.1.0.1.0) program that was working well so far until I tried to use the OCIObjectGetAttrAPI /OCIObjectSetAttr. Now my program gives the following linker errors:

  Commenting on just these two API corrects the error of the linker. I am sure that nothing in the project is modified outside the addition of two OCIObjectGetAttr and OCIObjectSetAttr API calls. Other API OCIObject * link. dumpbin/exports oci.lib shows that OCIObjectGetAttr and OCIObjectSetAttr are exported from the oci.lib.

  What Miss me?

  Stuck with it for a while. Search Google/community has not helped either.

  Seems to be a bug in orid.h, the following made me go. I tried to bind c++, while orid.h is missing the standard "C" extern block to connect c++, like other OIC header files.

  Packaging of the content orid.h in what follows me has compile successfully.

  Adobe has made no announcement on this subject and it is unlikely that they will be. What you "heard" is simply speculation at best and sow the rumor at worst. Personally, I suspect that ACR will continue to work in the CS6 for as long as Adobe still sells CS6. And, no, there is no announcement of Adobe...

  You could have gotten the Mac version anyway.  Assuming that you mean that Photoshop Elements, your purchase is good for each platform.  When you have downloaded it could have automatically detected your system and delivered its own version.

  If you have a problem, you should be able to get the version appropriate without having to make arrangements with Adobe.

  In response to your question, you should be aware that PHP in CS6 Dreamweaver server behaviors use original MySQL functions that are should be removed from a future release of PHP. Server behaviors have been deleted from the CC of Dreamweaver. If you plan to create a website using PHP and MySQL, do not rely on Dreamweaver server behaviors. You must instead use MySQLi (improved MySQL) or PDO (PHP Data Objects) .

  If you are looking for video tutorials, you might be interested in the class I created for lynda.com. As a beginner, a good starting point would be Introducing PHP or PHP for Web designers (there are several videos of the sample that you can watch for free on my site). Both courses have been recorded on Dreamweaver (PHP for Dreamweaver CS6 Web designers), presenting the PHP on Dreamweaver CS5.5. PHP for Web designers shows how to connect to MySQL with MySQLi. You need a subscription to lynda.com to watch full courses, but you can get a free seven day trial by following the links on my site.

  If you don't want to commit to a subscription service, I also wrote a book called PHP Solutions, which covers MySQLi and PDO in depth. It also shows how to build a login system. At the moment, the second edition is available, but a third revised edition is due to the on sale in December.

  There are also a lot of free resources on the web you can find. The important thing to beware of is that a lot of old documents is based on the original functions of MySQL. Regardless of the resource you use, make sure it shows how to use MySQLi or PDO.
