Error 1722 - Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional 9.5

Hello

I have been using the installation of Dragon mobile n/s on the same computer for awhile. Previously, it was beautiful, but then began to generate errors...
I reinstalled Dragon - did not work.

SO:
I reinstalled my laptop (Dell XPS) of the pre-installed utility image.

Now I can't install Dragon no matter what I do. I tried the fix (turning offf such DEP) suggested by Dragon/Nuance but it makes no difference...

Dell XPS / 4 GB RAM / Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit, service pack 2, completely developed to date)

Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional 9.5 - full install for Vista 32 bit

Etc. COMODO firewall/av/spyware (free version)

TIA,
Scott

Hello hscowan,

Have you already tried the Windows Installer Cleanup utility? I do not see an answer to know if you have tried to see if it help you clean a
corrupted installations.

If the cleaning tool does not help, the only other option would be to contact Nuance, the seller for Dragon speaking naturally. They have supported
for their product. I saw an article here not be able to install on Windows Vista if it is an upgrade to Windows XP. Don't know if your installation
was an upgrade or not.

The other option, I would try is temporarily disable User Account control and see if this will help get installed it.

If please report back and let us know the result.

Thank you

  • Dragon Naturally Speaking 11 64 bit, Win 7 Machine and error 1722

I tried for more than a month to get the Dragon Naturally Speaking 11 is installed on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.  Installation always gets to a point where it appears close to finishing but then gets an error 1722 and supports everything that was the case.

Went through several iterations, with the support of Nuance that included reduced installation, start clean and new user.  I emailed a couple of log files, but they have been unable to solve my problem.

My search of the 1722 error indicated a possible problem with the windows installer file, but it seems to work.  The answer for an apparent similar problem had a link to a utility install cleanup but this link now seems to lead to a 404 error.

    http://download.Microsoft.com/download/E/9/D/E9D80355-7AB4-45B8-80E8-983A48D5E1BD/msicuu2.exe

It tries to download a file, but it fails.

Any ideas on what I might try next?

One thing that could mean something, it's that before C++ for Dragon v. 9.0 it also fails due to an apparent previous installation.  That ignoring the warning and proceed with the installation of C++ can you spent the game apparently with success.  If you follow the recommendation to restart and reinstall it goes into a loop trying to install, but then fail after reboot recommended.

    Hi Markiepoo,

    Method 1:

You try to perform a clean boot. A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

If your problem is resolved after the clean boot, and then follow the steps mentioned in the article above to refine the exact source.

After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow the steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    Method 2:

If you're still having problems, then try to uninstall and reinstall the program.

    a. Click Start, click Control Panel and then double-click Add / Remove programs.

    b. in the currently installed programs, click the program you want to remove and then click on remove.

    c. If you are prompted to confirm the removal of the program, click Yes.

    d. restart the computer and reinstall the program.

For more information, see the following article:

  • Error Visual c ++ runtime 9.0 install Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 11 Spanish version.

Original title: I am trying to install the Spanish version of DNS Premium 11

I try to install Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 11 Spanish on my 32-bit Windows Vista Home Premium version, sp2.  I continually have problems with Visual c ++ runtime 9.0.  Error messages that I get whenever after InstallShield Wizard: "one or more previous installations require you to restart your system.  We recommend that you restart your system and then rerun Visual c ++ for Dragon NaturallySpeaking Installer.  You can need to restart system several times to complete all installations. ».  I tried several reboots the computer.  I tried as an administrator.  I tried to disable firewall.  I even tried running in the compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2. All to nothing does not.

    Hello

The machine is missing the correct C++ runtime components for your system type. (x 86 or x 64).

You can uninstall all existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and check if it helps.

Step 1: To uninstall the package:

    a. open programs and features.

    b. in the list, find the Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ and click on it.

    c. click on uninstall at the top of the list.

Step 2: Download and install the latest package and see if it helps.

Before you download, you can check am I running the 32-bit version or 64-bit Windows?

For 32 bit: Download Details: Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 86)

    For 64-bit: Download Details: Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 64)

    Hi MMBleakley,

1 do you receive the error message only when you try to install this program?

    Method 1:

Right-click on the installation files and select run as administrator to install the program.

    Method 2:

Alternatively, you can try to run a disk cleanup to remove unwanted files and check if the problem persists.

    Delete files using disk cleanup

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc978735.aspx

    Method 3:

If you're still having problems, try to perform a clean boot, and then install the program.

A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. You can check the link below for how to put the computer in a clean boot.

  • Satellite A30: Software Dragon Naturally Speaking speech recognition does not work!

I am unable to get the speech recognition program 7.3 Preffered Dragon Naturally Speaking version to operate successfully on my laptop Satellite A30 P4, using Windows XP as the operating system. It works fine on my PC of similar specs as the Satellite A30. Speech recognition is very poor indeed with the Toshiba laptop. He was sent to the seller twice, but the problem is still not resolved. I know that this Dragon program works fine on other laptops.

He is also unable to play some of my CD.

I would like to know if the portable technology is unable to operate with Dragon speech recognition, or is the problem with the A30 series or with my specific computer?

What characteristic specifications are necessary for the performance of Dragon with success of the Toshiba A30? This microphone is necessary? How many and what types of RAM? An additional sound card can be inserted into the laptop to improve performance?

Help, please! Anyone with experience with Dragon speech recognition? What could be the problem of CD?

[Edited by: admin on 19 June 05 14:33]

    Hello

It's specific software problem and it is not easy to tell what can be the problem. In my opinion, it may be that his card on this unit has no performance you want. Sorry but I have no other explanation.

These problems can be solved simply by contacting the producer of software because they have much more experience in troubleshooting.
