I installed Dragon Naturally Speaking on my 64 bit vista laptop. IT worked fine until my computer up to date. Now, it will not work. You have any complaints similar and the fixes for the problem?

    Unfortunately, the Sims 1 uses a 16-bit installation program, which does not work on 64-bit Windows.

    Try the following steps to disable the compatibility mode.
    a. Locate the launch of Dragon NaturallySpeaking file, right-click on it and click Properties.
    b. click on the Compatibility tab.

    d. click ok to apply the changes.
    e. check if the problem persists.

    Vista does not start on my computer compaq laptop. After a vista update automatic :(

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    I have windows XP installed on my hard drive of 160 GB WD Scorpio Blue PATA on a DELL Latitude D600. One day, I wake up and my laptop does not start.     I am unable to get the speech recognition program 7.3 Preffered Dragon Naturally Speaking version to operate successfully on my laptop Satellite A30 P4, using Windows XP as the operating system. It works fine on my PC of similar specs as the Satellite A30. Speech recognition is very poor indeed with the Toshiba laptop. He was sent to the seller twice, but the problem is still not resolved. I know that this Dragon program works fine on other laptops.

    I would like to know if the portable technology is unable to operate with Dragon speech recognition, or is the problem with the A30 series or with my specific computer?
