• iOS 8 - FileStream throwing error 2038 on open for write?

  Hey all,.

  Through iOS compatibility 8 checks with our Adobe AIR application (tested with AIR 13 and 14 of the AIR), I notice changes to the file storage.

  In short, my code has always been so to simply store a player profile file (correspondence documentation iOS for FAS as I know: File System Programming Guide: basics of file system). And it worked well to avoid the purges when the unit is low on storage as well as data maintaining it during the update of the app.

  This code doesn't seem to work for iOS 4 iOS 7:

  This running on iOS 8 will always throw a SecurityError (#2038) of stream.open.

  Now, we can still save the data and solve this problem by replacing the first line by:

  But it leaves me with a few things, in descending order of importance:

  (1) reading something like that scares me because our game has a large amount of daily players: 'I use applicationStorageDirectory to store files. The problem is that these files are deleted when the user updates his approx... " (AIR App Apple data storage directives compliance, last comment)

  (2) what has changed in the iOS file system 8 which my original code suddenly fails? Apple Developer documentation is still describing this must be valid. Is this a possible AIR bug?

  (3) I guess I need to define indicators of "do not backup" on registration to the appStorageDir files?

  (4) is anyone else running into this?

  Does make a difference if you replace:

  var storagePath:File = new File (File.applicationDirectory.nativePath + "/ \.\./Documents");

  with:

  var storagePath:File = File.documentsDirectory;

  ??

  You should really use File.documentsDirectory and not this hypothesis on foot of a relative path to File.applicationDirectory anyway.

• I posted a question on Oct. 10 and tried to answer, but got "error on page" so I write again.

  My question was to do a restore operation and I lost the use of the USBs and therefore the mouse.

  I did a scan of the system with Kaspersky Pure and found Trojans. After that, I was finally able to Undo my last restoration, but he always re-did not allow my USB.

  After trying different solutions, I tried again to use "restore to an earlier time", but this time I can't go any further until the day before my "discard" return which is Oct.13.

  I have read suggestions and tried to answer the last 2 pp who took the time to answer (I had already responded to the other 2 responses), but could not.

  The question of Kodak: I tried to create an online album but site Kodak said I should upgrade but it kept failing. I then tried to cancel but couldn't. I removed the Kodak completely and tried to re - install with original disc (I think V3) and who do not have too.

  That's when I decided to do a "restore to previous day" who created the problems mentioned above (due to Trojan)

  I have advanced and registered the dll as suggested and everything worked except regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll, which gave me the message:

  MSHTML was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file cannot be saved.

  So at this point, the computer only works with the keyboard, which is slow ennoyingly, and I still can't use any other USB devices.

  At one point, I had removed a USB card that was installed on one of the PCI slot and reinstalled just now to see what will happen.

  Windows 'seen' the card and a message appears to warn me about the "found USB controller" but not "install successful mssg.

  Is it possible that the problem is hardware related? Maybe a change of motherboard might fix this?

  My system is old enough:

  I'm running a Dell Dimension 2400 (I purchases. back in 2004, I think) I had XP home included and upgraded to XP pro. I'm still all original disks.

  BTW, I also deleted the usbhub.sys, usbport.sys, usbuhci.sys, c:\windows\system32\usbui.dll and c:\windows\system32\hccoin.dll and re-installed a new copy without result.

  If I can't find a solution I just re - install everything from scratch, but I was trying to avoid the drudgery of your time as well as having to track down all the original disks.

• Error in replicated cache (lazy write) led to the OOM error in live cache.

  We have an application that has a live cache and the data in the live cache is replicated on a cache of contingent. Result cache is implemented by enabling the cache write-back cache direct store.
  
  The problem is if the cache of the quota goes out of memory, direct cache fails to send data in the cache of contingent and keep requeuing data. Also the cache nodes fails to connect to the cache quota live, they keep on Retry to connect nodes from the cache immediately, this has also led to several exception on direct cache cluster. If the situation persists for cache some time then direct also fate memory and don't fail to answer.
  
  
  In this way contingent cache actually creates a direct cache problem. We want to ensure that if there is a problem in the cache now, this should not change the live cache. Any suggestion?

  Can you maybe post the details of configuration for these two caches?

  Maybe size limiting the possible cache will solve your problem?

  I also installed the drivers of 2.73 OR-488. 2 for the GPIB unit.

  Any ideas?

  I thought about what it (finally), it works now!

  After adding the screws needed for the project you should also go to the executable properties-> Source files and then select all the files to be "Always included" on the right side.

• Based on file format is not write to file, if there is an error defined by the user?

  While using the function in file to create a text file of some test results, I've noticed that if there is an error format on the error stream VI seems to work fine, but the Format of the file function is not actually write data to the file. I never noticed this behavior in Labview on any another function while if there is an error in this function does not work. As a general rule, if I don't want to run a section of the code when there is a mistake I have to surround themselves with a case statement and run the error stream in the case selector ignore.

  I've noticed this in a test application where I generate set errors when certain failures occur during my test, but I'd like when even the application to write my log file no matter if there is an error of no. In this case if my defined errors occur it does not write a log file. I deliberately to clear all errors before calling my VI of logging that I really don't want to do.

  So my question is why this behavior is present in the Format based on file? If it is expected that behavior are there other features that this happens with that I don't know everything?

  I have attached a VI that illustrates this behavior.

  The vast majority of the functions with an error to not not run if an error is present. In General, if a function runs with an error (i.e. close VISA), noted in the help it works even with a mistake.

• Write error in scan-1073807339 voltage Keithley 2400 to VISA, GPIB

  I'm working on a VI that sweeps the voltage across multiple PV devices, all in two States (light and dark). I use the SCPI and a GPIB commands to send scan to the Keithely and store it in a memory slot. So I ask this field using a sub - VI for each device in the two States.  The first State (light) still works fine.  VISA writing successfully sends the script to the Keithly and VISA read records of information successfully. But when the VI tries to run the same Subvi in the 2nd State (dark), I get the error of delay of 1073807339 waiting.

  Ways, I tried to solve this problem:

  -adjustment of the byte for VISA read rate (at one point given, I was getting the error on VISA read, not write)

  -adjust the setting of time-out of VISA by the suggestion of Web site of nor

  -loading of the script on the keithley each time for each scan

  In addition,

  I collect 100 points of data with each scan-05V to 2V.

  Whenever I get this error in order to get anything to connect once again, I have to close out of labview and could power off, power and reconnect the keithly

  Help, please. This could be a problem with my GPIB device? or my Keithley 2400?

  I tried all the solutions, but none of them helped. However, I have finally solved the problem on my own. The issue was that the VISA session was not properly closed / emptied after each scan.  To resolve this issue, I added VISA close at the end of each scan and clear VISA before each scan.

• BOUNCING VISA Write error - hair pulling

  Running an application that uses some standard features.  Lies in stepper motor which is controlled by simply sending chains of command to the inverter via a serial connection.

  Update for Windows 7 (from XP) and thus to level to 2013 LV.    Now all of a sudden I get errors of the vi that writes to the port series. He'll sometimes for a few hours before appearing, sometimes 15 minutes.  There is not much consistency as to which iteration of the vi pops up the error.  I added delays here and there, put a delay in writing vi (attached), added a clear before writing pad, etc, etc.  This bug won't go away.  This is the error that appears...

  

  I have attached the vi.  It is about as simple as they come that's why I'm pulling what little hair I have left.  Two changes in this version of the original that ran forver on XP, the delay of 150ms between writing and close System (since door to 400) and I also changed the time-out on the configuration of ms 10000 to 5000 ms (10s and 5s).

  Once this happens then all series the connection with the computer is watered and I have to restart the system to get there again.  The computer, a relatively new dell, has a port built series ini and I use an expansion card StarTech for two additional ports. (2-port PCIe RS232 w / UART 16550)

  ANY help is very appreciated on what having to reset the system 10 - 15 times a day is killing me.

  
  

• Error for counter - write frequency

  I get the following error in Labview trying to write property of the duty of a meter lifecycle:

  Error - 200301 occurred to DAQmx Write (counter frequency 1Chan 1Samp) .vi:1

  Possible reasons:

  Measurements: Unable to update the generation of pulses property.

  The generation of pulses with previous property settings must complete a full cycle before the property can be updated.

  The code consists of a loop running every 100 milliseconds, which adjusts the operating via a property node factor, and then performs a DaqmxWrite on the same channel to force the new property settings to take effect.

  There is an initialization step before the loop where the meter channel is created, synchronization is set to continuous and the task to begin, followed by a 500 MS delay (I thought maybe initialization has not been completed before the writing of the 1st loop).

  There are actually 2 separate channels / counters in the loop, each with their own task.

  Generally, the code works fine. Sometimes, when I download the new code to the machine, this error occurs.

  Any ideas?

  The error you get is expected in the way that you program your application. For another way to implement the property node and to avoid the error, please see the Developer Zone program example: output frequency of meter to change on the fly.

  In this example, you will find this implementation:

  

  I recommend you put it in your code and see if it is able to resolve the error you see.

  In your program, as useless the DAQmx property and DAQmx writing during the definition of the duty cycle and frequency. You must just writing DAQmx to set these attributes.

  Also, as a note, I noticed in your code that you never clear the task. Don't forget to end the application with a Task.vi claire DAQmx. I saw one in your program.

  Hey guys, I'm new to LabView and I myself thought about all I know.  I am a student at NC A & T.

  Good so I took a piece of code that I acquired Bristol, and it's for a Bristol Wavemeter V1.22.  First, I edited to get a graph in there to display the data and get a slope and the intercept.  Now I try to connect it to a computer that controls a ND6000 COntinuum.  We have the existing code for the ND6000 that allows to connect the two computers.  I took the code there which was the part that connects and now when I plugged everything up, I get the error "error 63 occurred at DataSocket write in getWavelength_v80 EDITED.vi" message.  He says; Possible reasons:
