error 3068 diag tool. material update fails

I have brand new Pavilion e9280t with windows 7 pro.  Computer continues to try to do an update of Diagnostic tools hardware PC-Doctor.  Whenever it has failed & I get error 3068.  ... Useless phone support.  I can run a test of the system hardware Diagnostics tools that is successful and everything goes.  However, computer continues to try to update without success.  My hardware diagnostic tools has 6.0.5205.31 at the top, which is the same version that is listed as the update on the HP website.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Finally the solution.  I wanted to someone else who may have this problem to be aware of his cause.

3068 error occurs whenever the computer has attempted to update the tool of diagnosis of hardware or HP Support Assistant.  He had to of all things with an apostrophe (') in the name of the computer when I turned on the computer out of the box and assign a name to the computer.  For example, the bromo-PC should be bromos-PC.  I had to restore the computer to its original state factory when he came out of the box and set the name corrected and all start over again.  Fortunately, it was very new and virtually nothing had been installed.

    Hello

You are able to install some other updates?

I suggest you follow these methods and check.

    Method 1: Run the fixit.

The problem with Microsoft Windows Update is not working:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_update/

Method 2: Run the clean boot and install the updates.

To do this, follow the steps in this link:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

NOTE: After you check the clean boot feature configure Windows to use a Normal startup using step 7 proposed in the above mentioned link.

    ·         When you remove the Software Distribution folder, your download history is deleted.

    ·         If you currently receive updates from Microsoft Update and Windows Update, you will need to reselect this option from the Windows Update Web site.

    Hey microsoft,.

Until recently one of my users on my 32-bit Windows Vista laptop had been corrupted for a long time and some files were working, others are not. So, I decided to make a new user profile. In the old, I had a windows update that I did, but two important updates for .NET framework could not be updated. In the new user, they could not be updated either. I tried at least 5 times and nothing worked. I did a restart and everything, but to no avail. In addition, an error code came to say "update failed to install updates, error 643'." There are options for solutions, but those who did not. Please help me and could you also tell me what makes the .NET infrastructure? Thank you.

Follow the steps in this article:

If the problem has not resolved, try to use the system restore and restore your system in time before this problem. If you have installed the new update for .net or visual studio then this problem occurred. Uninstall this update, and then try again. (for example if you have installed SP1 for visual studio try to uninstall and then reinstall).

Since it is a Dell computer, chances are a Norton or McAfee free trial is preinstalled. When you have done the clean install, the free trialware would have ALSO reinstalled (but not valid now).  Let's see if the execution of two removal tools & a few tweaks resolves the behavior.
