800b0100 error code when you try to install Windows updates KB974145 and KB978251
Greetings and salutations:
Any help would be appreciated.
I tried to install these 'important' updates several times with the same result - updates failed, error 800b0100 code. I downloaded and installed the KB974821 tool - tells me it installed - same problem. (I don't know if I'm supposed to do something else with KB974821 - I have to "run" or just "installed" it enough?) Instructions could certainly be clearer)
I tried to download and install the updates manually - without success - I get various error messages, like "does not apply to your system" or "for a different hardware platform.
I tried this with my firewall/antivirus close as well - using Trend Micro - and still no luck.
Thoughts, comments, suggestions, help? Very much appreciated. Thank you.
BTW, I'm running VHP 64 with Service Pack 2 installed. Nothing should be this complicated or frustrating.
Additional information:
In another forum, where I posted this inquiry (I was told is the right place to post it here) I was advised on how to get the results of the KB947821 tool that I ran. (Why this information was not given instructions on how to use the tool is beyond me). Here are the results of the analysis, apparently:

I'm Zenith one 733F error Code when I try to install the latest Windows Vista Update, which is an update to SQL Server 2005 (Service Pack 2 KB970895). This update has failed several times now.
I followed the advice given in a separate post in this forum at Ramer49 to perform a selective startup with msconfig to try to run the update with all Microsoft Services disabled. This does not solve the problem.
I spent reviewing the logfile under C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9_Hotfix_KB970895_sqlrun_sql.msp.log. The problem highlighted is that the Services of Services SQL2005 database program did not start. Here is an excerpt from the log file...

For more information, see theI tried to run the problem file (SQL Server MSSMLBIZ) directly by using the Windows administrative tool, but the file does not seem to start successfully. Receiver 0x8007043C error code when you try to install Windows XP service pack 3.
What should I do if I have has been updated to windows xp and I received this error? [Error number: 0x8007043C]
I think I have some kind of a worm of Svchost. I tried Malwarebytes which came with nothing
After a sakhi system. I have Norton anti virus. I did a system restore. I am running Windows in safe mode, try to update
service pack 3 and service pack 2 installed. Windows will not be updated in normal mode, as I tried in safe mode. I tried to manually update to service pack 3 internet explore and get this error. Windows will not be stopped, programs do not start, and when I open the Task Manager sometimes I see a Svchost process take a lot of memory and slow everything down. I have internet explorer 8.

Error 0x8007045D when you try to install Windows Vista SP2
Hello
Currently I have Windows Vista SP1 and want to upgrade to service pack 2. When I try to do the update of Windows, I get "error (0x8007045d) Error_IO_DEVICE. I also tried to install it in safe mode, I get the same error message. After having traveled a bit on the internet, I found that it is probably because my HDD is damaged... so I run the chkdsk program...
The chkdsk program stops at 16%... Step 4 of 5... When 85785 files off 300000something files are done... and it does nothing more. It keep running like this all night, it goes no further.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do to successfully install Windows Vista SP2?
Thanks for your help!
OK, I started the computer with the Windows CD and I ran chkdsk /f at a command prompt.
Chkdsk /f found errors it corrects.
I ran Chkdsk/r... .he got stuck after scanning 85763 files... near the place, he would always get stuck (85785 files)... so I guess it's the same file that crashes chkdsk.
The good news: I still have a functioning computer.
The bad news is that I ran the SP2 from windows update in new safe mode and it didn't work... I'm still stuck with my problem.
I have an extra hard drive... that I ordered from Dell for my girlfriend's computer, his computer died before she could use the player, but it is larger, then the drive of your computer and it is brand new... the only downside is that the player has been implemented for the computer of my girlfriend (pilots and other things) and does not work in my computer. I guess I'll try to format that drive to make it work in my computer... it should fix this and then bad SP2 remedial power very well.
I guess I have no choice.
I suggest to remove avg (uninstall) then try sfc/scannow then chkdsk /f several times. a few times, they need more going to make things more
Microsoft security essentials is a better a v for not update couseing problems.
You can allways put avg in the back.
not having is not enouph to free space for temporary files can couse problems too.

Error message when you try to install Windows on OSX 10.10.5 10
I have a Mid-2014 retina Macbook Pro and I am trying to use the Bootcamp Assistant to install Windows 10 on OS X 10.10.5 and Bootcamp version is 5.1.4. I can't upgrade to El Capitan from now due to work related software, long story!
I took the steps so far:
(1) reset the PRAM.
(2) reset SMC.
(3) ensure that only a single partition is present using disk utility.
(4) check the permissions of the drive and repair at least twice.
(5) check the disc.
(6) use Bootcamp assistant create the Windows Installer by using 64-bit Windows 10 iso file downloaded from Ms. All boxes have been checked.
(7) in a suitable place when Windows Setup asks me what partition choose, I select created Bootcamp partition and click on Format. Product key has been entered each time.
(8) installation continues until the point where it says "Ending up", then a pop-up window comes up saying "Windows cannot update the configuration to start the computer, Setup cannot continue."
(9) I click OK and the window behind what is said "installation has been cancelled, any changes made to your computer will not be saved."
(10) the computer is stuck on this screen for awhile. When, finally, he tries to restart, I just get a white screen. and eventually everything goes off.
(11) when I turn on again, if I hold down the Option, I can see the OS X partition, partition Windows, recovery disc, then Windows on my USB (in yellow) and the "EFI Boot' in yellow.
(12) I tried to click on Boot EFI, and goes through the same installation process and gives me the same error.
(13) I tried to click on the Windows USB button, it starts to install (with the normal resolution unlike every other time) and this time gives me the error message "Windows cannot be installed on partition disk 0" (View details) "when I click it, it says"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style. »
I'm pulling my hair out on this one (and I don't have much to lose) Please HELP!
Your Mac of 2014 is able to support two different types of Windows, most modern BIOS or EFI old installation.
The Windows icon on USB is the method inherited from the BIOS while the start EFI icon is the most recent and modern method. Each has its own requirements for partitioning.
2014 BC on 5.1.4 Assistant should have three check boxes. The first two should be checked only once to build the installer, while the last one can be used as needed.
1. use the last checkbox to delete the current partition of BC.
2. use only a USB flash drive (USB2 is preferable), other USB devices or SD cards cause problems.
3. run SMC/NVRAM reset external storage after everything is disconnected.
4. the USB should be directly connected on the Mac. Do not use a USB hub.
5. your ISO source must be an ISO only 64-bit and about 4 + GB. ISOs larger and mixed-mode are not valid for MCR, although they can run on an ordinary PC.
6 re - run BCA and check the last box - only install or delete... and try again.

Receive a stop error message when you try to install Windows XP.
Ubuntu Linux operating system to Windows XP/7
Hi, I just got my laptop Dell Vostro 1440 Ubuntu Linux system (I think that its linux)
I hate it. and I want to install Windows XP.
I tried to boot from the CD to install Windows, but I get the blue screen after the initial load of the installation files... Before the first prompt for "."
I tried to use different versions of the OS on the different CD/DVD, still getting the BLUEs.
I tried the forums. and I got was I have to "delete the linux partitions", but I found no action straight forward to remove. (fdisk? WTF?)
Save me from this disaster or I'm leaving life
Windows does not recognize the Linux partitions. You need to remove these first before you install any version of Windows. To do this, use the tools of partition. For example, Acronis Disk Director (not free, but very goos and easy to use) or GParted (free, works very well but not quite as easy to use perhapse [but far from difficult])
http://www.Acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/
http://gparted.sourceforge.NET/Download.php
You will need a way to download the disk image and burn it to DVD. - or - buy Acronis or similar from a local source.
After removing the existing scores today, you can boot from the Windows CD or DVD and install.

I need help with this error code: Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF7C85524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0 x 000000000)
I'm a noob Microsoft Answers. I have an old computer, I'm trying to reinstall Windows XP. It's a Dell XPS Dimension 3 (3.40 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4, 1 G of RAM). It does start normally or in Safe Mode. I tried to use Fixmbr, Fixboot, Bootcfg/Rebuild, chkdsk/r, Memtest86, Killdisk. I tried to install using another hard drive (which leads me to believe that it is perhaps a hardware problem). He gave the same error code, I think, even if I didn't write it. The only thing I found that I have not tried is "How do I recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP startup" because it is said that it will not work on OEM devices. The error code is Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF7C85524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0 x 000000000). I tried to install Ubuntu on two disks and they have installed and worked properly. I don't know what else to try except hardware troubleshooting, although I'm not too good with hardware problems. If you have any recommendations that could put closer me to a resolution I would be very happy!PS Windows XP actually ran on the second hard drive, I have tried (which is currently the drive in the machine at this time). I installed it and it starts directly in Windows. Yay! I have restarted this configuration several times without any problems. But I had a problem with the Microsoft Security Essentials update so I thought that a clean install would be better. In hindsight, I wish I had tried harder to solve this problem, but I did not. The first hard drive suffered a crash of Windows led me to be upgraded to a Windows 7 computer. It was more than 1.5 years ago. I just thought that the full back story might help.Hello
I'm close to some (but my experience tells me very little is certain at 100%), which has a generic windows installation CD install without the need for the Setup F6 disk, as long as the BIOS is set to RAID Autodetect / ATA (or possibly 'mix'). AHCI is a more efficient disk access method but requires F6 floppy or "slipstreaming". If the CD is already slipstreamed for your PC, AHCI should work without F6. As you say your default BIOS to auto detect RAID/AHCI, I expect a CD specifically for your system to support it, while a generic CD would not.
I doubt that they will provide F6 floppy but you never know. If you do not ask that you probably won't get.
You can mark the answers on this topic as "answers"...
.. But if I remember correctly, you can only score a maximum of 2 'responses. I offer my final diagnosis (and maybe my first answer) as candidates, but it is completely at your discretion. You can even hold off on tagging the "answers" until you get another CD from Dell and try. It also helps other people viewing this thread hoping to find a solution to 7B stops.
You can designate the other answers as useful if you think that it is appropriate.
