Error 8007005 Update code

Hello

We already have some time had a problem with the error code 'Windows cannot check updates' 8007005. It seems that our computer has never been last updated with service packs, etc.

Now these days we sometimes get a "blue screen" that usually never promises a lot of good.

Could you please let me know how to solve this problem and find out if these two things are linked?

Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Windows update error 8007005 DX

    Update error 8007005 DX (2016-02-21-T-01_18_40P

    How can I fix?

    Thank you.

    After you have entered here the possible solution error code is composed as follows by microsoft:

    Error code 0 x 80070005 is also described as 'ACCESS DENIED'. It happens usually when you have the permissions of file or registry that are required to install the updated (because the file or registry permissions can be changed by malware, we recommend that you are investigating anti-malware after repairing permissions).

    To resolve this problem, make sure that you are logged on as administrator and install updates again. If the problem persists, use the SubInACL tool to repair the permissions of files and registry. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Download the SubInACL tool and install it in the folder % windir%\system32. The placeholder % windir % represents the Windows system folder. For example, C:\Windows.
    2. Start Notepad, and then copy and paste the following commands:
      off @echo
      Subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Grant = administrators = f/Grant = system = f
      Subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Grant = administrators = f/Grant = system = f
      Subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/Grant = administrators = f/Grant = system = f
      Subinacl /subdirectories % windir % / Grant = administrators = f/Grant = system = f
      @Echo =========================
      Completed @Echo.
      @Echo =========================
      @pause
    3. Save the file as reset.cmd.
    4. Right-click the Reset.cmd file in file Explorer (in Windows 8.1 and Windows 8) or Windows Explorer (in Windows 7 and Windows Vista) and then click Run as administrator. In Windows XP, double-click the file in Windows Explorer.
    5. Wait for execution and then try to install the update again.

    Note: Extended Support for WinXP (x 86) SP2 ends July 13, 2010. After this date, computers that run Windows XP SP2 will NOT be offered additional security updates critical (x 86), automatic updates do not work, and Windows Update Web site is not accessible until SP3 is installed.
