  • Why open links in Firefox causes a "Server error in ' / ' Application Runtime Error" but not in "Internet Explorer"?

When I click on certain links in an e-mail message (and Firefox is the default browser), I get the following error:

In the Application Server error ' / '.

    Runtime error
Description: An exception occurred while processing your request. In addition, another exception occurred during the execution of the custom for the first exception error page. The request was interrupted.

If, however, I follow the same links (and Internet Explorer is the default browser), I get no error and the good content of the link is displayed.

What is causing this error? As I prefer Firefox, how can this problem be fixed?

It seems that Firefox has sent the server something it was not expected. Sometimes this can be caused by obsolete or damaged cookies - assuming that you have visited the site before. It could also result in changes of standard information sent to servers such as the string 'user agent' that specifies your version of browser and operating system.

  • Error Internet Explore 403

I bought ColdFusion MX7 and assessment Dreamweaver 8. I move code from ColdFusion 5 to ColdFusion MX7. Everything works fine in ColdFusion 5.

So far, it's a very unpleasant experience.

    Here's a little recap:

Operating system is Windows XP with service pack 2
    Internet Explorer: Version 6.0.2900

To access my site via Internet Explorer using http://127.0.0.1/GrandLakeFunSeekers I get an error message:
    Error HTTP 403-forbidden Internet Explorer.

To the best of my ability, I checked permissions on the Inetpub, wwwroot folder folder and the GrandLakeFunSeekers file. Same permissions as in ColdFusion 5 that works.

Dreamweaver 8 allows me to put the code in Dreamweaver, but none of the links don't do anything. The 'hand' does not even appear in the link field. This may be a separate problem of implementation of the Deamweaver or may be linked to this security issue.

Despite everything, I can't use a product yet and have short deadlines approaching.

    Thanks for your help

What happens when you go to http://127.0.0.1/GrandLakeFunSeekers/index.htm (or whatever your homepage)?

    Hi mentpay

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Forum!

    I recommend the methods are:

    Method 1:

Follow the steps listed in the link below:

You receive an error message in Internet Explorer: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage": http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956196

    Method 2:

Run Internet explorer with no Add - ons. If you have not installed add-ons - it may be installed by itself the malicious program. Many modules come from the Internet, and they usually require that you give your permission before they are installed on your computer. Some, however, may be installed without your knowledge. This can happen if the add-on was part of another program that you have installed. Some modules are installed with Microsoft Windows. Steps to temporarily disable modules

    i. Click Start

    II. all programs

    III. Select accessories

    IV. click on system tools

    v., and then select Internet Explorer(no add-ons)

If the browser works very well after these steps, the module may be the cause of error.

Steps to determine which add-on may be the cause of the error

    i. open Internet explorer.

II. click on tools, click on Manage Add-ons, and then click Enable or disable add-ons.

III. in the list view, click Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer to display all add-ons.

  • WHY my internet explore Windows keep crash

I constantly get this problem of windows internet expolrer knows a failure and closure. I paid for this service, help me or I'll go somewhere else.

I have already provided this information:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936213/en-AU?p=1

Method 3: Run Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode

Add-on Internet Explorer, such as ActiveX controls and browser toolbars, are used by some Web sites to provide a better browsing experience. An error may occur if an add-on is damaged or if an add-on conflicts with Internet Explorer. To determine if the error is caused by an add-on, run Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and then type Internet Explorer in the box to start the search.
    2. Click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). Internet Explorer opens without Add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.
    3. Test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly. If problems still occur, try Method 4.

If no error occurs, the problem is caused by one of the Add-ons that typically load with Internet Explorer. In this case, use one of the following options.

    Option 1: Reset Internet Explorer

Reset Internet Explorer to its default configuration. This step will disable also any add-ons, plug-ins or toolbars that are installed. Although this solution is fast, it also means that, if you want to use one of these modules in the future, they must be reinstalled. To reset Internet Explorer settings, use method 4.

Option 2: Use the add-on management tool to determine which add-on is causing the problem

Use the tool of management of Add-ons in Internet Explorer to individually disable each add-on to determine which add-on is causing errors. To do this, follow these steps:

    Internet Explore 7

    1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
    2. Click Tools, point to manage add-ons and then click Enable or disable add-ons.
    3. In the box display, select Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer to display all the modules that are installed on the computer.
    4. For each item in this list, select the add-on, and then click on disable under settings.
    5. When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.
    6. Quit and then restart Internet Explorer 7.
    7. If the problems do not occur, repeat steps 1 to 3.
    8. Click Activate for a simple add-on.
    9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors occur.

    Internet explore 8

    1. Open Internet Explorer 8.
    2. Click Tools, and then click Manage Add-ons.
    3. In the drop-down view menu, select all add-ons to display all the modules that are installed on the computer.
    4. For each item in this list, select the add-on, and then click disable in the information window.
    5. When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.
    6. Quit and then restart Internet Explorer.
    7. If the problems do not recur, repeat steps 1 to 3.
    8. Click Activate for a simple add-on.
    9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors occur.

    Hello

First, reset Internet Explorer as follows: be aware that this will remove bookmarks, modules, and the saved passwords etc

Open windows control panel, open Internet Options, click the Advanced tab, and then click the reset button.  Click 'Yes' or 'Ok' for all additional guests needed to complete the process.

Then, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your desktop.

    http://download.Macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/Current/uninstall_flash_player.exe

Once the download is complete, close all browser windows and start the program uninstaller.  Once done, restart the laptop.

Then, download and install Firefox , then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash.

Close all browser windows before you run the installer of Flash.

Start Firefox and see if your games Ok in this browser game - if they don't, close Firefox, IE opens ( See Note below ) and click the Adobe Flash even above to get a command prompt to install the ActiveX component.  Once completed, restart IE.

Note:  If you have a 64-bit installation, make sure that you open Internet Explorer and not Internet Explorer64) and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a command prompt to install the ActiveX component.  Once completed, restart IE.

If you want to use Internet Explorer 64, install Adobe Flash for this browser using the link below.

  • drive obsolete error Firefox flash does not in internet explore

Firefox error drive flash as being obsolete. This does not happen on the internet explore. also when I have more drive that the error firefox does not remember returns the same error. "this record is vulnerable and must be updated. "
with a red circle and a bar.
also flash seems to crash frequently. tried to update flash player and firefox locked up and ran very slow. is there an alternative to the RAS player.

Firefox needs a different version of Flash to use Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. For some reason, Adobe has created different versions for IE and Netscape browsers (what Firefox was initially based on) all the way back at the end of the 1990s. Then when Chrome came with its own plugin API, Adobe creates a 3rd version of Flash for Google.

You can download the latest version of Flash from this page:
    https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

What is an alternative to Flash, Mozilla working on one that is the name of Shumway of code.
    http://Mozilla.github.IO/Shumway/

Unfortunately, it is far from being completed and at this stage is designed only for advanced users to 'play with' or test and provide feedback to the developers.

  • 404 error, OK in internet explorer, have deleted cookies, cache cleared, permissions, the works, but it always does - for my own url!

Whenever I type my url in Firefox, I get this error: "Bad Request your browser has requested that this server could not understand. Additionally, a 404 not found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument directive to manage demand. "Yet, it's OK in Internet Explorer. I did everything suggested IE. delete cookies, change permissions, clear the cache. I even deleted the site and asked my host to implement a new root, downloaded a completely different site, and I still get the error. http://www.bevmattocks.co.UK/

You can use this other antivirus for your computer

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

May I ask why post you this here in a Toshiba forum?
This looks like an error in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
In a case value you'll need to reinstall Windows XP but I think that, first of all, you should try to reinstall only the Internet Explorer only application and check if it helps.
