  Manually download the files to a location on your hard drive, you can locate and manually install the same.

  Disable all Firewalls and try to install the updates and the stand-alone installation (download manually).

  Reset the Windows Update components

  Sorry, you have problems getting your patches installed. I have a number of things for you to look at.  First of all, your Background Intelligent Transfer Services set to Automaticand started and Windows Update ? You can check these settings by typing services.msc in the search box of the start menu.

  Sometimes in order to get patches to install correctly, you must perform these tasks manually. You can download and run the patch directly from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=160ad53e-6475-4550-90c2-444e4abea730.

  If this does not work, try to run the Microsoft OneCare safety scanner.  Sometimes it will solve problems of hidden registry, or can clear the virus that can prevent the installation of the patches: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm. Click full service scan, and then Quick scan (full scan takes a long time to complete). Try the patches.

  As manually downloading and trying to install updates did not get the expected result, so I suggest that you consider now reinstall/repair Office 2007.

  You will need your product key and the original installation media to repair/reinstall Office 2007.

  By downloading and installing manually, we actually manually download the updates to a location on your hard drive where you can find and then manually install the updates.

  You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!
