  I have upgraded to Windows 10. Installation of the Adobe Suite CS5 Web Premium.

  All was well with CS5 and install Active programs, and all have been opened for the initial check.

  Adobe updater downloaded and requested updates post install routine. Everything downloaded 100%

  More updates succeeded, but Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, two others could not be updated.

  I had Illustrator CS4 on an old windows machine and when I moved a Mac was told to upgrade to the version of Illustrator CS5 for Mac was not a big deal.  Well, it was a bit buggy for over a year and every time I try to get updates for it I get this above message.  I don't know if the two are related or not, but how can I just get my updates?

  Any help would get greatly appreciated.

  When you have downloaded and extracted the file, right click and then click on "Run as Administrator".

  This should work for you. I had the same problem and did and everything worked.

  Just in case you are still interested in a solution, found an easy way to do it. Reset the clock to October 1, 2011 and retry updates. Works like a charm

  I have CS5 running on Windows 7 with Adobe Application Manager and I have ben notified and installed the software updates very well for the last 18 months. But there are a few days the Adobe Application Manager informed me of an update and every time I have try and install the update it gives me the following error after downloading the patch 'a mistake to is updated.   I tried several times the update even after restarting the system. It seems to me that it is an update for Adobe Application Manager itself.

  I went into the preferences for the application manager and the saw was both CS5 and CS6 products listed and so I just disabled all CS6 products and he said no update available and the icon went away. I also see in the preferences, you have the option to disable the icon in the task bar if you don't want to tell their updates.
