• Error messages for cross validation rules does not properly

  We have implemented two rules of cross validation for our table GL accounts flexfield combinations.  We had implemented the first rule, and it was working properly and displays the error message associated with the rule.  When we added a second rule with a different error message, the application correctly applied the rule, however, now when a new combination of COA violates the first rule, the error message that is displayed is the second rule we created.  How can we get the error messages to be displayed for the correct error?

  Yes, if you say that when the 3 segment is actually "OPEX", then it seems to me that the Include and Exclude are simply reversed for what you describe as the needs of the company. When you make a rule, the simplest way to define this term is usually with a universal Include statement (that is to say, we want that all combinations of account), then from there to make a statement that says Yes all except these (the exclude statement).

  Aware in Opex Department will exercise a universal declaration currently, which means that all of these accounts are not allowed (again, except if 7-9 segments have something else of zeros, while they may be permitted).

  If your site back how intervals are defined between the Include and Exclude in the Department and Opex, once registered, you can see if this gives now what you are looking for. If segment 3 is supposed to have a range rather than the value "OPEX", then the exclusion may need further tweaking and we can discuss that further if you wish. With the way in which it will be set to this change, it will not allow a segment 2 to 00000 if the Segment 3 is "OPEX" during a new combination.

  I created the report using the code defined below .but I put a column in the select list and other column as date picker, when I select the value of the selection list and click on the button Add row, page is updated automatically by default. and when I choose the date date picker it gives error report invalid. but in the database, this cloumn is defined as the timestamp column. I'm trying to find the timestamp datepicker in apex_item but I don't have the code for this. Please tell me how I can do this.

  Summary: I think that the collection keeps timestamp. When I debug the value in the collection I saw that data with the time still be converted "YY/MM/DD"..., I don't know why, but that's the reason for the problem

• Loading data to Essbase with ODI rules file

  Hi all
  
  I need to load the flat file DATA (no metadata) or an Oracle table in to ESSBASE using ODI.
  
  Where can I find an example or a tutorial on the loading procedure.
  I have not have how to use ODI with a rules file:
  
  (1) in the standard rule file I can insert a transformation (join, split ecc.) can be used
  a rule like this in ODI file?
  
  (2) if I put the file of IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA) rules I have to manually set the mapping
  between the source and target? the mapping is not set in the rule file?
  
  (3) can I use both the type of rules (flat file or SQL) file?

  When I try to download Essbase data with adapter ES9x-G4-A FDM 9.3.1 9.3.1 it gives me error in the export, import and Validate are successful only export is in error.

  Method of setting:

  1. go to the Client Workbench FDM
  2. login to the application appropriate as a power user
  3. navigate to the tab cards and expand the target system adapters and adapter Essbase (ES9x-G4 *)
  4 expand the Actions folder and double-click Action to export to open the script
  5. go to line 357 in the Action Script to export (see the bug attached to the exact code of the line)
  6. place a single apostrophe (') at the beginning of the line to the premature destruction of the object in the comment.
  7. save the script by clicking the diskette icon in the toolbar
  8. test the export again.
  9. If the issue is resolved, please migrate the solution as the case in other environments.

  This problem is solved after I maped all dimensions in order of loading the data. I traced only Entity, account, Custom1 and Custom2 at first because there is no source map Custom3, Custom4 and PIC. After doing the mapping for Custom3, Custom4 and PKI, the problem is resolved. This is why all dimensions should be mapped here.

  Check the State of charge. If there are all the dimensions in your database not specified in the load of data file, make sure that you specify in the header.

  Possible solutions

  Make sure that the data source is valid.

  Is a member of every dimension specified in the data source or rules file properly?

  The field of digital data is at the end of the recording? If this isn't the case, move the digital data field in the data source or move the field of digital data in the rules file.

  Members that can contain numbers (e.g. "100") surrounded quotes in the data source?

  If you use a header, is the header properly configured? Don't forget that you can add the names of missing dimension to the header.

  The data source contains extra spaces or tabs?

  The hierarchical update was saved?

• ODI: Error loading the data of HFM: invalid dimension name

  I am fairly new to ODI and I was wondering if any guru could help me overcome a question im facing. I try to load data from a csv file in HFM. I chose the good KM (LKM file SQL and SQL IKM to Hyperion Financial Management Data), with the Sunopsis Memory engine than the staging area.
  
  To facilitate the file csv has the exact structure as well as the dimensions of HFM applications and has been located in the interface, as shown below:

  PIC - PIC

  I'm not sure how to solve, as it is based on the interface mapping match dimensions on a 1:1 basis. In addition, dimension in the target column names correspond to the dimension names of application of HFM (that this application has been deducted).

  I also met a similar error as OP.

  In my case, the error occurs when I use SUNOPSIS_MEMORY_ENGINE as the staging. If I simply change this staging to the Oracle schema, the Interface will load data successfully to HFM. So, I'm curious on what cause the SUNOPSIS cannot become the staging for the loading of HFM.

  It seems like the query generated is not picking up the Column Alias name, but this only happens if I use SUNOPSIS_MEMORY_ENGINE as the staging. With Oracle schema as staging, data load is successfully finished.

• Is it possible: Loading SQL with generic rule file?

  Hello
  When you load a flat file into Essbase, can be defined in the header of the data load domain names. In the load data, dimension names given and at the end of the data. In the file rule under Options > properties of data source > header reference could be made to this line. It works very well.
  
  We want to load the data with SQL in the same way. A load rule with a variable substitution for the selection view and we can use it for every load of data. We specified the name of dimension in the table column header. The data column has been defined as 'data' - without the quotes.
  
  The result is so far, it does not load.
  The question is - did someone tried this before and can help me on this?

  the data column can be repersented in several ways, as I do usually is to set for the Member, it belongs to. In my example where your variable substitution & currmth is "Jan" then "Jan" would be the name of the column. The next month when the var void changes to Feb, on Feb.
