Error number: dx9 0xc000007b game when it is run

I just bought a pc brand new with win7 64 SP1. I would like to run COD4, COD5 (DX9 game) previously installed on old HD (which means that the game is not installed on win7 64 environment). I heard that win7 64 is not compatible dx9 game very well. so I download directx_Jun2010_redist.exe and run it, unpacked the DLLs included in windows/syswow64 directory. then I start the game COD4 or COD5, I got an error: "cannot start the Application normally (0xc000007b)". "

What is the problem with me? or what mistakes I made?

PLS help me!  Thank you!

  • "[Error number: 0 x 80244019] ' when you try to update; also repeated (wrong) message indicating that the modules are disabled.

Ive just made on my computer disaster recovery and have experienced significant problems when you try to download updates from windows, a message indicating: "the website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view," appeared on several occasions accompanied by "[error number: 0 x 80244019].  I tried the antivirus program malware removal tool and ensured that my computer has been configured for the installation of updates, according to the instructions on the microsoft Web site, but nothing works, I have also ensured that the features activex in my internet security settings are enabled.  There is another extremely irritating aspect to this problem: I am repeatedly received a message that my "Add-ons" are 'disabled,' when in fact I have ensured that they have all been activated.

    Hello

I found the specific problem last night on another forum thread.  In fact, my computer is an older edition that had Service pack 2 installed.  As this service pack is no longer accepted by the Microsoft windows updates, updates of the said installation has failed, causing "error 0 x code 80244019."  After the upgrade to service pack 3, I found that the problem be resolved itself.

  • I can not get windows to date. I get an error number: 0 x 80240036 when I click on the update button

After going to the windows update page and clicking on the express install button I get an error number: 0 x 80240036. Any ideas on FIXING THIS?

I have seen this error quite a bit lately and the majority of the case because Windows XP is not upgraded to SP3.

To determine which service pack is currently installed on your computer, follow these steps:

    1. Click Startand then click run.
    2. Copy and paste, or type the following command, and then click OK:

    winver

A dialog box displays the version of Windows and the service pack that is currently installed on your computer.

  • Error number: 0 x 80240025 when you try to search for updates on the update site

Trying to find updates on the download site. Something I've done many times before

    Hi Chris,

It seems that your computer is connected to a server/network on the right?

Becuse that this issue is on the rights to run the windows update.
Your computer has got a 'rule' do not allow to download updates.

It can be attached with the following text:

    Group Policy setting
If you check the registry key DisableWindowsUpdateAccess, you
    likely to find the following:
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\WindowsUpdate
    DisableWindowsUpdateAccess REG_DWORD (1)

S-1-5-18 cards to the SYSTEM ACCOUNT

To correct this problem, set the value to 0 or delete the key.
You may also need to check that you don't have a group policy which
keep setting this value to 1 to avoid the problem to occur after a
    policy is refreshed.

    Kind regards

  • Error number: 0 x 80240036 when you try to use Windows Update on a "gross" SP2 system

I just installed XP SP2 and Office and must now updates.

    Avast! antivirus is installed.

Hello, John. Windows Update or automatic updates needs SP3 for work. Then please proceed as follows:

Download the installation of SP3 and IE8 files. I prefer to keep these (and other useful files) on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links for the installation files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

(You can TOTALLY ignore the message "intended for it professionals"!)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

    1. physically disconnect from the Internet. Also unplug all unnecessary devices!

    2. temporarily disable the automatic updates. To do this:

Start | Control Panel (switch to Classic view if not already selected). Automatic updates

Select "Turn off automatic updates" and click OK.

3 IMPORTANT! Because antivirus often programs interfere with the installation of Service Packs, they must be disabled! Therefore:

set up a clean boot environment:

    1. Click Start, click run, type msconfig and click OK.
    2. The System Configuration utility dialog box appears.
    3. Make sure the general tab is selected, and then click the circle to Start diagnosis .
    4. Click OK.
    5. Turn it back on.

Note: once this process is completed, you will come back eventually on Normal startup.

    4. install the SP3. Restart TWICE.

5 move to IE8. Restart TWICE. (Note: it is important to let IE at the level before the upgrade to SP3 IE6.) After you are in SP3, then you can switch IE6 to IE8).

    6 cancel the Diagnostic Mode:

    1. Click Start, click run, type msconfig and click OK.
    2. The System Configuration utility dialog box appears.
    3. Make sure the general tab is selected, and then click the Normal Startup circle.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Turn it back on.

    7. make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should already be):

Start | Control Panel | Security Center

(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet.)

8 visit Windows Update to download and install only critical security update (stay away the optional updates!). Restart each time you are prompted.

    9. reactivate the automatic updates.

  • I get error 0 x 5004 80070005 when all facilities running or uninstall. How to solve this?

Hi, I recently tried to reinstall Neverwinter Nights 2 and Battlefield 2 on my computer that the line was not working on one. However, when you try to install both games, I got an error that says "an error (-5004: 0 x 80070005) occurred during the execution of the installation."

I have tested other facilities and had two mistakes different pop up in different configurations. That which is above, and who said "engine InstallShield (iKernel.exe) could not be installed." "iKernel.exe could not be copied into" E:\Program Files Files\InstallShield\Engine\6\Intel 32'. " Make sure that you have the appropriate privileges to copy files in this folder. (0x5) ».

I tried to rename the InstallShield folder in the common files and I tried to update Windows Installer, but this has not solved the problem. How to solve this?

Are you logged on as administrator?  It's a permissions problem, Aaron Stebner shows you how you can use SubInACL to fix this:
