  This symptom may be caused by the interference of an antivirus program. What antivirus do you use? Some of them are causing problems with Windows Mail over time. At a minimum, email, scanning in the antivirus must be turned off, although maybe it's not enough to eliminate all the bad effects. In the worst case scenario, your antivirus program may be uninstalled/reinstalled or replaced.

• Toshiba laptops with ACPI error during the installation of Windows Vista Beta 2

  Many people including myself try to run Windows Vista along side XP on our Toshiba laptops, so that we can feel comfortable when buying vista. We expect no assistance phone premium. We would just like to know what the problem and hopefully provide technical information so Toshiba that would help their preperation for when Toshiba laptops are sold with Vista and hopefully solve this problem.

  One of the reasons is perhaps with security software, which sometimes creates a conflict. Because you installed Kaspersky recently, you can try to disable it and other non-Microsoft firewalls present on your system and try to check if the problem occurs. Send: automatically complete e-mail addresses when composing ' option.  Recently, it has become much less useful.  When I start typing in the To: field, it brings up addresses more than just those residing in Contacts.  I can't understand how to clear this cache of addresses everywhere where it is.

  For example, when I type in 'mother' to automatically raise its address, it now shows a correct address (which IS in my contacts) and who is not.  He suggests the following options for recipients:

• Corrupted Windows Vista Mail export

  I tried export WIndows Vista Mail so I could import into a new machine Win 8.1. However, files are damaged and some folders and emails are missing. Any ideas on how to solve this problem? I've held last year, but did not get a response.
  

  What e-mail program you are using in the new machine? Note that the mail app does not support POP3 accounts.
   
  If you use Windows live Mail and messages seem to always corrupt, try this.
   
  To create a Windows folder on the desktop from the old machine.
  * Open a file in WinMail and drag the messages into the folder on the desktop. (They will remain in WinMail.)
  To copy this folder on the desktop on the new machine.

• Error lanacfg utility using the Windows Vista system

  Hi, I have an error using lanacfg.exe on Windows Vista Home Premium system utility.

  Whenever I try to change the LANA number, I have an error as shown below:

  And after that this error LANA number is not changed in fact.
  That worked very well under Windows XP. The problem appears only on Vista.

  The same thing happened to me. What I did to connect to the computer with an account having local administrator rights. I copied the file lanacg to the root of C:. I ran it again and it worked so well.

  When you try to download windows updates I continues to be faced with error 80070643 and 800f080d. I have to purchase 2010 Uniblue Registry Booster, which was a difficulty of sugested on one of the forums and it says that my computer has no record of mistakes, however, I get always the same 2 errors when you try to download windows updates. I have 18 updates of which NONE will download, all fail.

  Everyway that I try to run my automatic updates for windows I get the error message with the error Code 80070026.  I have Vista service Pack 1.  I do not know there is an update for me who keeps my computer at risk or with this problem.
