My laptop Shutdown without warning

My new hp Pavilion I fighting around October 2014' seem to be stopped without warning. He stopped with the stop window displayed you. it happen 3 times. Help, please

Hi @timotius,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked into your problem on your HP laptop and with that he closed without warning. Here is a link to restore the BIOS. Please note remove any and all USB devices and remove the memory card in the slot of the card reader. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

Can get into safe mode with command prompt?  sfc/scannow should scan your system to find errors on the command line. You can see this Microsoft document on the system recovery options.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system. If you need an update, this could cause what you have installed.

Have you installed a software or hardware?

Hope this helps you.

Thank you.

  • Pavilion 14-al015na: new HP laptop reboot without warning

I would like to start by saying that I am not savvy computer very waves and too complex answers will just go over my head. Honestly I do not know if I chose the right subforum for it (sorry if I don't!). Please try to put the answers in stupid people talk

I bought a HP Pavilion with a processor intel core i3 (this: http://www.johnlewis.com/hp-pavilion-14-al015na-laptop-intel-core-i3-8gb-ram-1tb-14-natural-silver/p...) there are less than a month and I barely use it's really for uni starts back. Despite this, I had problems several times with it restarts without warning, while I'm in the middle of something. I also had this error message once: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (bcmwl63a.sys) as it turns off. He also asked to be restarted for updates and just because he apparently wanted to basically all the time it is turned on.

I moved all my documents, photos and music from my old laptop (also a HP) to my new but I have left the program etc. files behind. My old laptop had issues where it would freeze and become completely unresponsive (does not restart as in the case of my new laptop) and have to be turned off by the power button, and anything I worked on to lose and it was one of the few reasons I decided to replace it. In addition, whenever I turned on it he grew up a pop-up, the kind you see when you install a program. I uninstalled the program in question, but the pop-up persisted. I've always had a McAfee antivirus protection on all of my devices - computers of my phone, which was connected to the time - but I guess that something got through between the cracks?

Basically, I would like to know if the issues with my new laptop are the result of a virus or not (the same who touched my old laptop?) and of course be saved or not. Thanks in advance,

    Estella.

    @leaf2,
Thanks for joining the Forums HP, Estella.
I'll be happy to help you!

I understand that your laptop will restart without warning after posting the message-"(bcmwl63a.sys) SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" once, it freezes constantly and frequently reboots, here's what I recommend that we do:

According to my research, it could be a bad driver, the origin of the problem otherwise we will need to perform a test of hardware on your memory card, I'll let you know how to do this, later.

To remove the bad driver, I recommend the following steps:

    1. Start Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click Device Manager.

    2. Expand the node under network adapters, right-click the device entry, and then click on Properties.

    3. Select the driver, and then click Roll Back drivers, if it is gray in color (impossible to click) select uninstall drivers.

Made the above, restart the computer and then go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for your network card: Click here.

If the problem persists, click here for - "How do I run a test of hardware on your laptop.

    Keep me posted!

    Kind regards

    Hello

    I have a laptop - HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b000ej with Windows 8.

  • Satellite Pro L630 close without warning

my laptop has been close without warning - today got an error message on any ideas - failure of the cooling system

If it is the fan / repairable or perhaps other components default?

    Hi Yannos

I think that your laptop turns off automatically due to high temperature.
Probably the cooling fan (cooling module) is no functions and therefore the CPU cannot be cooled properly.

The notification that received you today confirm my hypothesis.

In my opinion, the cooling module must be checked and probably replaced in order to solve the problem of cooling.

  • Satellite Pro started to stop abruptly without warning

    Hello

Can someone advise me, I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop, it is around the age of 13 months, and he began to stop abruptly without warning.
It seems to be when I run high processor applications.

    I have 3 questions,

    (1) it is first of all, this laptop will always be covered by the warranty, even if he is 13 months old?

    (2) is it a simple fix for this problem of overheating?

    (3) I looked online and it seems to be a very common problem with Toshiba laptops, has there been a recall on all models?

Thanks for any help you can give me?

    > 1) the first is, this laptop will always be covered by the warranty, even if he is 13 months old?
Standard warranty covers portable duration 12 months. If you didn t buy additional coverage then the manufacturer's warranty no longer valid.
But in my country, the dealer covers the portable 24 months long then maybe you should ask your dealer for info.

(> 2) is there a simple fix for this problem of overheating?
Well, the temperature could be higher because of the dust and debris inside the cooling rack.
You could possibly solve this cleaning fans and cooling grids. I use the jet of compressed air. This could help you as it helped me

(> 3) I looked online and it seems to be a very common problem with Toshiba laptops, has there been a recall on all models?
This isn't a problem common with Toshiba notebook but unusual for all series of laptops from all brands.
After a while the debris may clog the cooling system because the cooling fans are always placed at the bottom of the unit.
It is advisable to clean the fans from time to time to ensure good air circulation.

  • Satellite L300-1AS - Wireless disappears completely without warning

I got underway, but annoyingly intermittent problems with the wireless on my laptop. I got it since Dec. 24.

Basically, I have days/weeks of use with no problems, then, without warning, the wireless disappeared completely. He won't let me fix the usual channels, or it will show even the laptop with the ability to be wireless!

After I restarted the laptop, it still does not work, but then through the repair process, he said that wireless capability is turned off!

First, are there any patches to this?
Secondly, any ideas how my laptop tells himself to turn off my wireless?

It is a pretty big problem for me because I don't use the internet a hell of a lot.

    Thanks in advance

    ASA

    Hello!

In my view, this could be also a problem of router then make a day first firmware. You can find it on the site of the factory.
Turn off the features of security as a hidden SSID, MAC address filtering and so far. Just to test, it perhaps is the problem.

As said by Akuma, update your WLAN driver and update your BIOS. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online Download Driver

I hope one of these tips can solve the problem.

    Good bye

  • Satellite C660-1F1 has start off without warning

Recently my laptop Satellite C660-1F1 start off without warning and I read in other forums that it could be an overheating problem.

You have advice on how can I fix?

    Thank you
    Paul

Yes, one of the solutions could be the cleaning of the cooling fans.
Dust and debris inside the unit and cooling modules may affect the functionality of fan.
The air circulation could be affected too then remove the dust using a jet of compressed air.
Its good tool to get these issues resolved without separate laptops.

  • Tecra A4 just off without warning

    Hello

I have a Tecra A4 PTA40E when I insist on the system than just, it stops. Does it systematically and without warning however if I just leave the machine on the login screen, it is fine. The problem doesn't seem to be specific to a particular application. It's more a case of if I run too many applications happen.

Someone at - it never had this happen or got any ideas? I'm running the latest drivers and have recently rebuilt with XP and SP2.

These machines contain a stop errors written to the bios when a system error occurs that might give a clue? There is nothing in the event logs.

    Thank you very much

    Hello Huw

On this forum, you can read several descriptions of the same problem and for me, the situation is quite clear: your laptop turns off due to overheating. With the use of the CPU, temperature reached material level critical and mobile turns off everything simply.

It is because of the material. Another way some hardware may be damaged.
It's time to clean your laptop. I don't know if you can do that alone, but the best way is to clean it on professional way.

  • L50-B05C satellite crashing while gaming - black screen without warning

    Laptop Toshiba Satellite L50-B05C crashing
I write because there is no section of series B in the section.

The laptop is 2 months old and has just recently been crashing (blacken off instantly, screen) without warning when I play a game.
It had worked perfectly in these games until about a week ago.

Use CPU, memory and disk are all weak, so I have no idea of what is happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I write because there is no section of series B in the section.

Just FYI: it is an L series (L50- xxxx)

The laptop is 2 months old and has just recently been crashing (blacken off instantly, screen) without warning when I play a game.

Have you noticed a temperature higher while gaming?
I guess that the laptop automatically stops due to the higher internal temperature.
This is nothing unusual if the temperature is too high... the laptop would shut down to prevent the equipment from damage...

    Try this:
Go to advanced windows power options and reduce the max CPU performance at 90-95%
In addition to change the cooling method for: performance.

I would also recommend to check if fans and the vents are not clogged with dust...

I'm not sure where you live but in my country, the temperature is currently very high and I guess it's really hard to cool the internal parts and to maintain the temperature of the low laptop

  • Satellite L300D continues to go off without warning

I've had my Toshiba Satellite L300D for a month, and recently he continues to go off without warning.
I don't know what to do as this continues to be between 3 seconds to turn on the laptop and 5 hours to turn on the laptop.

    What should I do?

The laptop gets hot? Did you check that?

Maybe the laptop gets hot because dust blocks the air flow in cooling assembly. You can clean it with a jet of compressed air, that you can buy at a computer retailer. This could blow the dust from the ventilation of cooling.

Also, make sure that it is enough free space around the laptop.

  • Equium M40 simply stopped working without warning - do not power led.

My laptop is almost 2 years old and while you browse using the battery it just died without warning.
Put it on the sector but no orange at all.

I have no power in the machine at all.
Its dead as a dodo. My main concern is to get the info off the hard drive.

Any ideas of how I could do this? What could be bad, the motherboard or disk hard drive itself.

    Thank you, Lorraine

    Hello

If it's not nice that your machine was throwing the towel, but after your description, I think it would be worthy to check if the adapter still works.

It should not be the motherboard because sometimes just the AC adapter is giving up. And regarding your files on the disk do HARD just after:

Go to an electronic market, buy an USB-drive HARD-external enclosure for IDE drives with 2.5 form factor "(portable hdd´s) and put your laptop hard drive in this case."
Voila, now you can back up your files on another computer.

If you have any questions, just ask.

  • Satellite P20-521 turns off randomly without warning

Computer shuts down randomly without warning. I also had a few blue screens of death last week.
    To restore using factory settings.
Or should I return my Toshiba laptop

    Hello

As Johnny writes that you should try to clean the unit. I used Satellite P20 for two years and remove the cooling in the lower corner, I found a lot of dust inside. After that cleaning of the laptop was much more calm and cooling fan did not run at full speed as before.

I imagine that your laptop may not be cooled properly and the result is overheating. Your first step should be to remove dust. Look at how the laptop runs after doing this. If the laptop starts to cut again please write us again.

my lap top was close without warning or command especially when I watch movies online.i just ts will puff and must be reseeded again and again

    Looks like it's overheating.

Use Bing or Google to search for information on your particular laptop (maybe the support forum for your Dell, Toshiba, HP, etc.) and determine how to combat overheating.  You may be able to 'fix' it's using compressed air to clean the vents and/or using a cooling pad under the computer laptop and even run a small fan external imed in the inlet.  May not be recommended by people IT but I often run my old laptop without battery to reduce heating.  And of course, you might have a fan does not properly.

Doubtful that the malware is causing your problem.   You have every reason to think otherwise - no evidence of infection

  • My gateway Tablet close without warning. Now more trouble...

My Gateway Tablet PC with windows XP stops without warning a few days ago. Now when I try to start, it doesn't do anything (the screen is black, fan works, power and light is on), it will start up, I log on, and then it crashes after a few minutes, or the screen goes black (power light always). I managed to make it work yesterday, and I ran the Microsoft Saftey Scanner. He came clean. I keep reading on overheating which could cause this, but I don't think that's it. The fan seems to work very well, and it does not start or stops immediately after 2 days of course stop. It worked fine before all this, what's wrong? Help, please!

    Hi Bmjohnso9192,

    ·         You receive an error message or error code?
