Error of the clock

Recently, I left the computer for about two weeks and now when I connect to the clock does not automatically update and I have to manually update the time and date.

Hello

If you lose time when off tension, then you need to replace the cmos on the motherboard battery. It is a relatively easy task, and the batteries can be found in most any store that sells a variety of batteries for cameras, remotes, etc..

If you're just logging market and loss of time, first check that you a) using the correct time zone and b) your correct locale. If they are, then think has software that is installed and runs in the home, such as your antivirus software. • Measurement error of the County of edge by using the external sample clock

    Hello

I'm trying to measure the number of edges (rising) on a square wave at 5 kHz with a generator function on a device of the NI PCIe-6363. I configured a channel of County of front edge of counter at the entrance of the PFI8 device. I use an external sample clock that is provided by the output of the meter of a NI USB-6211 housing channel. If I acquire for 10secs then ideally I would expect to see a total of 50000 edges measured on the meter inlet channel. However, my reading is anywhere between 49900 and 50000.

When I use the internal clock of time base to measure the edges, the measure is accurate and almost always exactly 50000. I understand that when you use the external sample clock, the precision of the measurements is subject to noise level of the clock signal. However, I checked the clock signal is stable and not very noisy. Any reason why there is an error of measurement and how tolerance should I expect when using an external sample clock compared to when you use the internal time base clock?

Also, what is best clock Frequency (with respect to the frequency of the input signal) when using an external clock?

    Thank you

    Noblet

    Hi all

Thanks for all your sugggestions. I was using an input signal with a function generator which had a range of 8V. It turns out that the reduction of the amplitude to 5V solves the problem. I was able to get accurate numbers with the 6211 external clock.

    Thank you

  • I can implement using the NOR-6221 SPI? When I try to generate using ctr0 make an error indicating 'Sample clock' is not a supported option.

I'm trying to use a NOR-USB-6221 to implement SPI in a C++ application.  When I try to configure a digital output task that uses ctr0 as the clock, I get an error stating that 'Sample clock' is not supported and use instead "on demand".  I would be able to use the NOR-6221 and if so how to do this?  Thank you.

    Hi IntAndTest,

Maybe silly question: are you sure that you have a USB-6221 and not a USB-6212? The USB-6221 supports clocked DIO, but the USB-6212 is not working.

A problem with your code: when you specify a terminal DAQmx name, it must be is compared to the device (such as 'Ctr0InternalOutput', "AI/SampleClock" or "PFI0") or contains a slash before the device name (like "/ Dev1/Ctr0InternalOutput", "/ Dev1/AI/SampleClock ', or ' Dev1 / / PFI0"). This does not apply to the names of physical channel (like ' Dev1/port0' or "Dev1/ctr0").

The error is returned from code that you have not displayed? Your says error message DAQmxCreateDIChan failed, but the code you posted does not call this function. In addition, I don't see a call to DAQmxStartTask or DAQmxWriteDigitalU8, U16, U32, whatever.

Also, what NOR-DAQmx version are you using?

  • Error-200022 OR-9401 DIO and task of the clock

Could someone please watch this VI and explain how I can fix getting the reserved error-200022 the task? The VI implements a clock task to monitor the engine steps and another to monitor the engine on the NOR-9401 entries. There must be a way to make the two tasks together I hope somehow without this reserve error appears. If this is not the case, how would have managed to do this differently?

    Thank you.

-When I ran the VI I 200463 error. I could solve that question changing in the DAQmx creating channel line group to a single channel for each line of entry.

-Then, I ran the VI and I have error-200022. So as a workaround, you must change the meter (ctr0) If you use 4, 5, 6 and 7 in the form of digital lines. However, if you make this change you will get error-201133. To resolve this problem, click the link below:

  • 6259 analog integrated Output error with the sample clock

I run into some problems outputing a sinusoid of analog output with my acquisition of data using the sampleclock aboard. At one point, I was able to get the vi works pretty good and repeatable. When revisited however, I started to see error that the driver could not provide the unit with the points quickly. I was running at 250 k 1 k sampling rate a tone to one, but it seems only to be able to get about 20 k, sampling frequency. This creates a pretty rough signal, expecially when the rate fell to 8 k. I produce only 1 second of data.

See attached bmp. The I/O moved references aren't channels of tasks. Could be the problem? I'm a little frustrated because he has to be a very simple to create vi and I'm having all sorts of problems with it.

    Hi klessm1,

I want to stress that the behavior you're seeing is atypical - under normal circumstances, DMA transfers must take place fast enough to keep the data in the FIFO embedded permanently until at least the max (2.86 MHz single channel) sampling rate.  After saying that the error you receive indicates that we get no data for the 6259 fast enough for some reason - there are a few options at this point, it should get you operational:

Remove the need to transfer data to the device.  As Sarah suggested, you can do so by regenerating the on-board FIFO.  The FIFO output on the 6259 is 8 191 samples (shared between the channels), so if you build a periodic signal and this is a sufficient number of samples to characterize a period then this should be a viable option.

Try using interrupts instead of DMA.  This may seem paradoxical since DMA is generally the fastest method of data transfer on our DAQ hardware, but something rings the Bell with the DMA transfer from your computer to the 6259.  I imagine that you will actually have a faster rate using interrupts if that is the case.

You can configure the appliance to use only the quantity of memory onboard or interruptions using a channel property node DAQmx (Analog Output > General Properties > advanced > memory and data transfer)

Implement a delay between the start of the task and the first sample.  If the problem is with the first DMA transfer latency (and not the total throughput on the PCI bus), then adding a delay before attempting to write the first sample should solve the problem.  Some motherboards have been found to have a latency higher than the others (so the question of Sarah #3).

You can configure the delay with the property node Trigger DAQmx (start > more > Delay / delay units).  This applies even if you do not explicitly have a configured start trigger.

I think the three above are good ideas to try depending on what you need exactly.  I would also check for updates to the BIOS available for your motherboard that could address the issue (but it would be something that the manufacturer would be more known).  I hope this help - made - know us how it goes!

    -John

  • Satellite A60 - conflict with the clock

Greetings, I have a problem with a Toshiba Satellite A60, is this: the PC clock ahead a second as the time goes from 4 seconds, IE in the pc are the clock is 09:29:17 and at the same time but to change one second on the pc, like this: 09:29:18 and the clock has advanced 4 seconds 09:29:21, running and disassemble the laptop and check the battery internal from the Board of Directors and is soldered to the pc If you can not take off, but I think that working with the battery of the laptop, the pc does not have windows, in fact I go on any hard drive and go to the BIOS and still gives the error.

Could this be? I suggest they do? Thank you.

To be honest I really don t know what exaclty average. Only, I understand that you have problems with the clock.

The RTC (BIOS) battery can be charged if you leave the laptop connected to the AC adapter. This support also the RTC battery.

  • With the API c for linux, how can I decimate the clock at a 10 kHz signal?

Hiya.  I know that the clock signal is decimated on the chessboard in a few places... is there a function in the linux api c for export a decimated signal?  Can I choose any arbitrary decimation, or am I limited to the various bases of time used on the map (a series of M in my case)?

    Thank you!

You use DAQmx (8.0 or 8.0.1)?  If so, you have a few options:

    Counter output:  Available frequencies are {80 MHz, 20 MHz, 100 kHz, external} / {2: 2,32-1}

    Output frequency:  Available frequencies are {10 MHz, 100 kHz} / {01:16}

Export clock of AI or AO task:  Available frequencies are {external 20 MHz, 100 kHz,} / {2: 2,32-1}, but going too fast will result in a material synchronizing error on ADC or DAC.

On the M-series: DAQ there are two counters, a single frequency output, HAVE a single timing engine and a single engine timing AO (if your motherboard supports AO).  Simply choose any subsystem available to you.  If you have need of a constant 10 kHz and then the frequency output is perfectly adequate, it is programmed similar to a meter output (reference Dev1/freqout instead of Dev1/ctr0).

If I remember correctly (I'm on Windows for now), on Linux the C ANSI DAQmx examples should be installed in \usr\local\natinst\nidaqmx\examples.  It should be an example of output included continuous meter.

    Best regards

  • Avoid the error message "the resource specified is reserved"

    Hi all

My question is this: I have two Labview VI each using a wizard DAQ to collect different channels analog voltage. While a VI data collection of 3 channels at 1000 Hz, the other gets just a sample on request from a fourth channel. Now, when I run them at the same time, I get the error "specify resource is reserved. Please note that I don't want two VI to be beaten in a single task. I want that they separate because one is for accelerometers and another is for "startpad. I call these my C# code VI. I read in another thread, saying that this is not possible. But both that they use different channels, I don't understand why this cannot be done. Is it possible that I can get around this problem?

No, you can avoid the error, and most of the other threads explains why. This card has a clock unique convert. Your card has all of the analog inputs in a single A/D muxes and who uses the clock unique convert. The unique clock means that you simply cannot have two different rates. You have to combine all channels in a single task (do not know what 'club' means) or run one at a time.

Of course, you can always get a second DAQ card as well.

  • What is the best way to correct the registry errors without the use of a registry cleaner in XP?

I am sorry to raise this issue that so many people who have asked me.  I read pages and pages of discussions on the MS forum on this subject, and without exception, all the experts said Microsoft registry cleaners are completely unnecessary and that junk in the registers has no performance impact at all.  Instead, they say, to do x, y and z.  I am running Windows XP on my desk for five years, and gradually, he got so slow it's almost unbearable.  It takes 10-15 minutes just to start, and sometimes it takes 2 minutes or more just to open a window of browser (IE8) or go to the previous page by using the arrow to the left.  Before you tell me all the things it could be, please let me say that:

    1. my PC has not always been this slow!  It is getting worse.

    2. all my Windows software is up to date.  I have automatic updates on.

    3. I have a lot of disk space, almost 75% of free space on a hard drive of 80 GB.

    4. my PC is free of viruses, spyware and Trojans.  I have McAfee antivirus running and I also sometimes run Malwarebytes and Trojan Killer, because they always find things that don't have McAfee.

    5. I defragment my hard drive on a regular basis.

    6. I regularly delete all my temporary files by using the Windows Disk Cleanup utility.

    7. I have very little, if any "Add-ons".  No toolbar Yahoo or Google (or Bing!).

    8. I removed nearly every program that I start, so that they are not running in the background.

    9. I uninstalled all the programs that I don't use.

However, I still have a slow ever-more computer.  Sometimes, when I see ads on TV to increase the speed of my PC, I download the 'free' software, and they claim to find hundreds or thousands of "registry errors.  When I look at the newspapers, I see many entries in registry for 'Netscape' and 'Google Earth', which I uninstalled years ago, as well as entries for the videos that I downloaded, seen once, and deleted a long time ago.

So, what's the problem?  If it's not related to my registry (which Trojan Killer says has more 6 000 entries!), what else could be?  I would appreciate greatly any advice you can give, because there are dozens of companies on their touting their registry cleaners and the uninstall (for a price) programs, and after reading reviews of the MS MVPs, I'm skeptical of their claims.  Thank you.  :)

I can't disagree with a lot of things have already been said.

I'm willing to accept that your machine does actually takes 10 to 15 minutes on the clock. It's completely absurd.

Some people call your "Windows Rot" problem. Becomes just the slower windows over time. It is a collection of things that are happening in the background. Yes I believe that the register contributes. Using a registry cleaner is not a "magic" solution But it can help a little.

The PC care program/process you described is above average.  I suggest you add CCleaner. Disk Cleanup is not bad, CCleaner is better, cleaning of other stuff which does not resemble the DC. It won't be a significant difference because disk space is not your problem, but it will help a little.

'Play' with the registry is VERY risky. If you decide to go ahead, I would say that first make you a copy of the full image backup using a utility that can be started and run from a CD/DVD. Just in case the registry cleaner breaks of your machine.

Registry cleaners is that they take a "best estimate" to what is no longer necessary. Sometimes they think wrong. And each vacuum cleaner will clean slightly different sets of places.  If the tool does not provide a way to back up the registry before you start cleaning, do not use it. He is not careful enough.

If vacuuming offer 'levels' of cleaning, enjoy. Open for more aggressive cleaning, with resetting and long series of normal use between cleanings.

You are looking for a tool which also makes registry "defragmentation". The registry is a database that get disorganized by additions and deletions. Defragmentation will be re - organize and get rid of a 'lost' space, making it the smallest file, afterwards faster to read.  It is not something you need to do frequently, but since you've never done it in 5 years, it would help, after cleaning registry.

Another place to find CPU and RAM wasted resources is Windows Services. These are small programs that start at boot time. They run in the background and provide support services to all applications or specific applications.  Many applications services are running even though you don't really need them. You can find information on which you can set by Googling for 'Windows XP hardening'. There are a lot of sites with good information. They call it hardening because by disabling unnecessary stuff, you leave less possible openings for the "bad guys" to the attack.

Ultimately, I think your best bet will simply bite the bullet and re - install windows and all your applications. It's the best way to restore your computer to almost any performance fees factory. (It is not exactly factory fresh because you need to add a ton of Windows updates).

Before you re-install, do copy image 1 or more full backups. At least one must be done using a tool that will easily allow you to extract the files. You data backup files separately to make it easier to restore the reinstallation. IE, copy it to a USB key.

Many "experts" actually expect to, and do, re - install windows every 6-12 months!  I think it's a bit exaggerated, but they swear by it.

Once you do your re - install, create a copy of the magnified image
Install a firewall application (before the windows updates)
Once you do all updates of windows, create a copy of the magnified image
After that you re-install all your apps, create another copy of the complete picture.

In this way, in the future, you have more current points to restore your computer to. It will reduce the time you spend to get back to the current configuration.

On a 5 year old XP machine, you have probably 512 MB - 1 GB of RAM. You might also consider taking in the shop (or DIY) and bump the RAM up to at least 2 GB or better still max out.  The current versions of the applications use much more memory than they did 5 years ago. Even XP will be since he has been seriously corrected since then.

  • I have problems with my computer with the time remaining after I reset the clock and made sure it was on the correct time zone and summer time has been check the battery has also been replaced

and it will not keep the exact time it will keep accelerate at least 5 minutes or more.

I don't know what else to do about it. You can someone help me?

I still find myself make too many assumptions.
First of all, I guess your derivative of clock occurs during the time when the computer is running and not during the period where it is off (or immediately early)?
Second, I'm assuming that when you run the command "w32tm/Resync" above, the clock made it back to the correct time and no errors were reported?
Third, you say that your clock drift 5 minutes or more, but you do not tell us how long this gain occurs.  It is two times more win if you wait twice as long to check?  Is the gain gradual or sudden?  Keep he wins or if he stops wins once it arrives before?

Conditions of default for a computer connected non-member of the field, the time will be updated network-time only at the start and then once a week.  If you are winning too much too quickly, you can adjust how many times your computer asks for time.  Computers in the domain must be more precise and one every hour for a default time synchronization.  You can set your W32tm to that of a computer in the domain to resynchronize your computer more often (SpecialPollInterval).  Here are two articles that describe the clock settings:

  • My "BOLD" 9000 blackBerry smartphones freeze when changing clock (calendar event or the clock itself)

    Hello

I have a small problem that appeared a few weeks ago (I completely reinstalled my newer OS (available), whenever I try to change the time of an event (calendar) or if I try to change the clock (i've got sometimes large difference between the actual time and the automatic), the phone freeze (I can hear the sound of 'click' of the trackball but nothing happen... I have to 'disable' and when it is to say "app error" something)) on the "clock" Module)

What is the problem? How to solve this problem?

Thanks to all those who can help you

Do you use the calendar on your device for appointments and others?

I saw a similar question like this from another user. When he cleared his calendar data, clock and alarm options began to work properly.

So I recommend a backup of the device and clear the calendar.

    Use Desktop Manager to save.

Then, in the Desktop Manager > device > data delete > delete the Calendar database and complete the guests. When you are finished, remove the BlackBerry from the USB and try to use the clock in the way in which he hang himself before.

    A little luck?

  • Video device record to the clock store is not recognized on Windows 8

Original title: Windows 8 video glitch

Windows 8 works well except the storage of the clock of my video recording device is not recognized when I plug in the USB cable.  The same clock works very well with a Windows 7 system.  There is no error message or of any indication of Windows 8 that the unit is plugged.  No driver not supplied with the clock.  Windows 7 lists of storage of the clock as a "generic Compact Flash USB Device".  Apparently the driver compatible with the clock is missing from Windows 8, or there may be another problem.

    Hi Donald,.

Please contact Microsoft Community. I understand that peripheral storage of the clock of this recording video is not detected on your computer Windows 8. I've surely you will help solve this problem.

To better understand the issue, I would need more information on your side.

    1. Faced with any issue when connecting other USB devices?
    2. What is the make and model of recording video clock?

This problem might have occurred because of these reasons:
    1. corrupted USB or port driver.
    2 damaged material.
    3. wrong settings.

Try the steps listed here and see if it helps:

    Method 1:
I suggest to connect the storage device to the clock of the video recording on another USB port and check if it is detected.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest you run the troubleshooter of material and to check if the basic material settings are set correctly.

    a. press the keys Windows + C on your keyboard to show the charms.

    b. type Troubleshooting , and then click solving problems under settings.

    c. now, type Hardware Troubleshooter in the search option.

    So little confused here.

    E:\APP\KMAHALINGAM\ORADATA\ORCL\--> must contain CONTROL01. CTL

    E:\APP\KMAHALINGAM\FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\ORCL\--> must contain CONTROL02. CTL

    What is it now?
