If it is a recent development, try to perform a system restore to a time before your problem.  You may need to run from the command line as described in the following article:

I also get a DCOM error on each start, but have been informed that I can ignore it safely.  The two errors reported above, however, are new, but, so far, seem not to cause performance problems.

All advice would be much appreciated.

    Chris

I use Microsoft Security Essentials with free Malwarebytes as a scanner support. To remove unwanted pests, I use ADWCleaner on a when necessary basis. I remember only a serious malware incident in recent years, which I solved it quickly. SUPERAntiSpyware is not incompatible, but my experience is that there's little consequence. It is not on this computer, but I still have it on my laptop. Duplicates emisoft Malwarebytes so why bother with it?

My last reading of your event viewer reports, is that there is nothing serious at present on your computer.

  • "Reading DMA Ext" SMART error reported for a 27 "Mac (model end 2013)

    Hello

I have experienced a strange behavior in last week, where my iMac starts upward normally, but directly obtained subsequently very slow and lazy. Each program showed the wait mouse cursor und switch between programs by using the Task Manager did not work. If available, I could click through the mouse on a different program of an application window, but only to bring in the und before then the wait cursor shown here as well.

I had to reboot several times, until all behaved as usual.

I checked the State of the disk hard und SMART monitor indicated failures during the power on unit (UNC at LBA). And it seemed that this error has occurred several times (once at the start of the iMac, I retried several times).

I installed the tool console smartctl to get more detailed information and it reported an error count of 534 where were the last 4 errors of this type (history does not seem to store more errors). The last error reported was of type READ FPDMA queued (global error at LBA UNC).

I ran a SMART long test, which passed without error.

And if the system boots properly, there is no indication that the hard disk has a problem.

Someone knows something similar and has a suggestion, what to do? Is there something wrong with the hard drive, controller, plugging in the cable?

I really appreciate your thought and suggestions about this strange behavior.

Thank you for your support in advance!

    Best regards

  • Vista operating system. I get an error report "can't find printable HTML article.

Firefox returns the error report, "Could not find printable html section" when you click on the printer friendly button. The printer friendly option work in Internet Explorer. Vista operating system.

The developer of the page made a typo: the button is pressed by a script that seeks the printable element, but on the page, this item is marked printable - and JavaScript required an exact match.

As a solution, you might set the font using the web console of Firefox. However, it would be wise to complain on the site if they did this on every page.

To open the web console: Ctrl + Shift + k

To correct the fault of typing, type or paste the following text at the side of the > and press ENTER:

    document.getElementById("printready").id = 'print ';

Then click the printable version button to bring up the page in print.

You can close the web console using the X on the toolbar or by pressing Ctrl + Shift + k new

  • Version with ControlLogix - link cRIO (implicit messaging), "(Code 16 #0315) problem" connection request error: invalid segment type ""

I have developed and delivered a system in Germany several years ago.  He worked then.  But the cRIO was damaged and replaced by a newer model, and does not now.  I suspect (and Support technical OR agree) it's a problem of software version, which could be solved with the NOT-MAX Software Installer.  But I do not have access to the system myself, and correspondence is slow and tedious.

The original system was a cRIO-9073, developed with LabView 2009.  He used the implicit Messaging.  The ID of Instance, sizes, IP addresses, etc everything has worked very well.

The current system is a cRIO-9074, with LabView DURATION 14.0 (I guess that LV 2014), Scan Engine 4.3, NI - Industrial Communications for Ethernet/IP 14.0.0, etc.  Programs FPGA and processor are responsible and seem to work in the cRIO.  The "EthernetIP Set Assembly Instance Data.vi' will return no error.  But the PLC just pointing out "(Code 16 #0315)" connection request error: invalid segment type "."  We looked at intellectual property (the mistake was different), sizes and body #s.

The PLC doesn't have to all be modified.

Anyone know if there is no problem of compatibility with LV-2014 and Ethernet/IP 14.0.0?  Or if there are all the other required packages?

I am including the NOT-Max reports.

    Hi ZX81

To help you 2009 application to work with the new cRIO, you must deploy it to the device. You must in order to deploy the cRIO, make sure it has the same versions of software that you used with the old cRIO.

You can format the cRIO NI MAX and deploy the application of LV, 2009. However, if you do not have access to the cRIO or your client does not have the necessary software, you can deploy the application in another cRIO with software (cRIO same model and same modules as your client) and create a picture of it and send it to your customer so that it can deploy the cRIO even without the software on his computer. The following document explains how to do this.

  • Microsoft never takes a look at the error reports I send?... it doesn't seem that you do because nothing is solved and I get the same error reports!

I've been having problems with my computer, I continue to send error reports, but apparently, no one throws a look at them at the other end, because I keep having the same problems.  Is there really someone in Microsoft who take a look at the reports we submit?  I would really like to know!

If you see messages like this:

    Please inform Microsoft this problem

We have created an error report that you can send to help us improve Generic Host Process for Win32 Services.
We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous.

Send error report do not send

I wouldn't count on return all useful 'response' of MS because allegedly they do not have any of your information (so how would then be able to communicate with you?) if they do not have your information, they say they will definitely preserve confidentiality, but maybe one day your contribution will help the best ways to handle errors and respond in a way that actually works to understand.

If you choose to send things, don't forget to give long enough the process — sometimes several minutes and you will get a message back that may or may not be interesting to read, but they are usually generic "Thank you for your comments" type messages.  Sound familiar?

If it is a known problem with a solution, you can be lucky and get some tips on how to solve this problem, but I wouldn't count on it and have never actually seen it work out that way, but I could at least give the error notification mechanism a chance and see what he has to say.  You can also find out more about works XP when you are finished.

Some people feel that potentially sending your system information (and who knows what else) Microsoft is an intrusion into their privacy and choose to disable the function of «»  Who knows what information you send to Microsoft when you click send error report.

If you want to know how to disable this feature, let us know and I'll tell you how.

You probably better to solve your problem in the system the old fashioned way... by yourself (and with the help if you need it), I would like to ask a new question in the appropriate forum.

  • Error report followed closely by scam phone call.__04 June 2010

Error followed by phone call report scam. (£79 for a new Microsoft license request). I'm in the United Kingdom.

    June 4, 2010

I, also, have just received a phone call from scam shortly after the presentation of a microsoft error report. The appellant was Asian, as if the others were and he claimed he was from Microsoft. I had downloaded a rogue file that was causing my computer works more slowly and asked me to click on the Start button and open the "run" command, he said. He asked me to type "eventvwr", this brought an observer called window events. He asked me to click on the app and got my attention to the error and warning symbols in the open list. He then asked me to click on system and see the symbols contained in this list. He then said he would connect on a technician who would correct the mistakes on my computer but my license has expired and I had to buy another before PayPal mistakes could be corrected. He quoted £79 when asked. He would tell me how to send money via Paypal when I told him that I wasn't going to send money to anyone. I said, 'as far as I know, you could be a criminal trying to pull a scam. "Anyone can phone up and say these things."  Oops, I had caught. "YOU CALL ME A CRIMINAL. "Well WELL YOU GO COME AND PASS 200 lbs ON A TECHNINICIAN BLAH, BLAH RANT, rant", and then he slammed the phone down. There, he, he. ****.

    Hello

It seems that you had a telemarketing call or what we call a call of the scam. Do not provide a personal information in your.

If you are in the United Kingdom and the appellant made an offer to help a royalty payment, you should contact the national fraud authority.  Details are on their website at:http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/

The NFA has pledged to track down and eliminate these criminals, but they need all the help they can get to identify scams, if they do not speak that they can act.

If you can at least get a website URL, which could be useful in a report.

Avoid scams that use the Microsoft name fraudulently

Common scams that use the Microsoft name

    • A person of "Microsoft Support" calls to fix your computer
    • "You have won the Microsoft Lottery"
    • Microsoft "requires credit card information to validate your copy of Windows.
    • "Microsoft" send unsolicited e-mail with attached security updates

    Avoid these dangerous hoaxes

We do not send unsolicited e-mail messages or make phone calls unsolicited request personal or financial information or repair your computer.

If you receive an unsolicited e-mail or phone call which is supposed to be from Microsoft, and request that you send personal information or click on the links, delete the message or hang up the phone.

Microsoft has none of the unsolicited telephone calls to help you fix your computer

In this type of scam cybercriminals are calling you and claim to be of Support technique Microsoft. They offer help with your computer problems. Once scammers have earned your trust, they try to steal and damage your computer with malicious software, including viruses and spyware.

Although the law enforcement can trace phone numbers, often authors use pay telephones, disposable cell phones or stolen cellular phone numbers. Better avoid fooling themselves rather than try to repair the damage afterwards.

Treat all unsolicited sceptically telephone calls. Don't provide personal information.

If you receive an unsolicited call from someone who claims to be from Technical Support Microsoft, hang up. We do not have such calls.

If you think you might be a victim of fraud, you can report it. For more information, see: what to do if you think you've been scammed.

You did not win the "Microsoft Lottery".

Microsoft customers are often the target of a scam that uses messages falsely promise money. Victims receive messages saying 'You won the Microsoft Lottery!' There is no Microsoft Lottery. Delete the message.

If you have lost money to this scam, report it. You can also send the police report to Microsoft, and we will use it to help the security forces to catch criminals who send these e-mail messages.

To protect yourself against these e-mail hoaxes, you can use the same general orientation you use to protect yourself against phishing scams.

Microsoft do not ask for credit card information to validate your copy of Windows

We require that your copy of Windows is legitimate before you can obtain programs from the Microsoft Download Center or receive software updates from Microsoft Update. Our online process that performs this validation is called the Genuine Advantage Program. at no time during the validation process we request your credit card information.

Microsoft sends no communication unsolicited on security updates

When we publish information about a security software update or security incident, we send e-mail messages only to subscribers of our security communication program.

Unfortunately, Cybercriminals have operated this program by sending fake security messages that appear to come from Microsoft. My Windows XP Tablet has some odd features and I think that some problem. Yes, but isn't concert read this this type of error: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/175654-disk-cleanup-windows-error-reporting-bug-fix.html

  • What happens when you disable the service "Windows Error Reporting Service" in order to avoid an annoying and misleading popup error message?

I kept getting annoying "authentication failure.  Please check your user name and password of the account '... xyz. "" error every 30 seconds. "

I tried to restore my system and antivirus running - even to reinstall my anti-virus.  I deleted the accounts in question and kept still getting the error message.  Note, receive emails has never been a problem.

I finally disabled the element of the system of "Windows Error Reporting Service" MS configuration and now the error pop ups have disappeared.  Is it correct to keep this function disabled?

    Thank you.

To check the event logs, go to start / Control Panel / administrative tools / event handler.

To achieve the reliability and performance monitor, go to start / search and type in reliability, and then double-click the program icon that appears.

I hope this helps.  You can always check these sites periodically and do not need WER to warn you of a problem (even if it is perhaps faster) - you can check manually.  WER serves a purpose and he gives notification of a problem (which is good), but not in the circumstances that you knew.  This is a "nice to have" feature - not absolutely necessary.  We can try testing again to see if we can find the problem with WER if you're at it - or you can simply leave it off and make periodic checks of manual (decision is yours).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Windows Error Reporting service stopped recording of events in the event log, and now when it spawns werfault.exe, the process consumes the CPU until he is killed.

Windows error reporting service ceased to record events in the event viewer. The last successful entry was 26/03/2010. Since then whenever the service generates Werfault.exe to handle the error, the process seems stuck in a loop of consumer processor, but do nothing. It uses 99% of CPU (80% preferred), is not e/s and number of handles, thread, & working set do not develop.

Three Windows updates were installed in shortly after the last successful log entry (automatic update is enabled):

KB915597 def 1.79.702.0 & def 1.79.495.0 both for Windows Defender

    KB980182 for IE 7

I think that my system is clean, at least Spyware Doctor think it is. I also did some tests Ad-Aware. Windows Defender analyzes every day without error.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    Hi Wannknow,

It's good information - and thanks for the thanks! You really only need to run an adware or virus (malware) program at the same time. What I would recommend is that you choose an adware program - either "Windows Defender" or "spyware doctor" and disable the other. This can be your root problem, so at this point I turn back on 'report of problems and solutions' and see if you experience the same problem:

    Again, here are the instructions:

    1. open Control Panel. (Press Ctrl-ESC and type 'control' is faster access method).

    2. click on "System and Maintenance" and then click "problem reports and solution."

    3. click on change settings in the left panel of the problem reports and Solutions window.

    4. Select Advanced settings.  In the "for my programs, problem report is: ' select 'off '. Click on CLOSE the

    Hope this helps,
