  If there are several audio channels on your media clip, you won't have to hear all the individual channels in Premiere Elements. Premiere Elements cannot separate the audio for the comment, commercials, football game, etc.

  The music, the voices, the Audio 1, etc., on the Smart mixer see audio track on your timeline. And you should be able to tell who is who, looking at the timeline and see which audio clips are on each track.

  There is probably nothing wrong. EI audio capabilities are severely limited and it doesn't all in time real mixture worth mentioning. It can only play a limited number of audio tracks in real time, and those who must match the settings of your audio driver, since that's what it is based on. All files that is not conform to the specifications as well as incompatible driver audio settings force resampling. Similarly, compressed as MP3 files, it will be decoded fully first and then mixed. • Exporting audio mixer effect is not to the final video.

  I had a problem in the last month. When I do a mix using the mixer Audio Panel to apply the effect of amplitude "Multiband Compressor" to a channel and the "dynamic" on the channel master, everything works fine and I can get a clean mixture in the sequence with voice and music with 20db of separation during live play. For example, the track VO is about - 2 dB. The music is - 20 dB or less Ch2 on.

  But If I now export the sequence into mp4 H.264, it seems the audio effects of layers are not rendered in the audio track or levels are reduced by - 7db at-10 dB. If I export the movie as a mp4 and report audio VO first raises around from - 9 dB and the music-20db. The music is invading the VO. So, I thought maybe the problem is that the effects of channel of the audio mixer Panel are not rendered in audio tracks.

  So I started to do some tests, If I have the same sequence of export in "Preset" H.264 Vimeo and then export to ProRes of Apple Quicktime mov audio is completely different levels. I have no idea why. Here is a screen shot of the same sequence, with compressor on, exported and re-imported in the mp4 and .mov.

  Then exported as uncompressed audio file.

  

  Any other test I can do. This is confusing me.

  Do similar tests with 1 k tone would be useful, you would have then exact db number to work with.

• Audio mixer works do not go as planned.

  Source is QT with 4 discrete mono audio tracks,

  1.DX, 2.FX, 3.MXLt, 4.MXRt.

  You will need to encode H.264 with AAC stereo.

  Channel assignment done pro QT 1 = Central, 2 = Center, 3 = left, 4 = Right.  (also tried 1 = Mono, 2 = Mono, 3 4 left = right)

  Waiting: SOUL respects assignments and mixes an output of L = 1 + 2 + 3, R = 1 + 2 + 4.

  Actual result: L = 1, R = 2.

  I'm doing something wrong?

  Unfortunately, the SOUL not downmix audio channels as you have described.  For multichannel files, SOUL simply takes the first two channels and assigns them to L and R.

  In order to map channels in the order you want, you can use Panel audio mixing in Premiere Pro and run each channel to the channels of the destination of your choice.

• Audio mixer does not allow Me to record

  I currently have problems with the narration of a video. I can't record audio on my video. I searched in several outlets on the way to do it, but they all say I need to use the record button in the audio mixer. When I navigate myself it the bar with the record button never is. My Macbook Pro has stereo mic's that I can record off of. I just need to know how.

  You have need of the mixer Audio TRACK not the mixing of the music video table.

  You will also need to customize the buttons for audio tracks.

  Add the R and the voice on the buttons.

• Premiere Pro 2014 CC, audio mixer, recording of playhead goes to 0

  Hey all,.

  Just upgraded to Premiere Pro 2014 CC CC and I have a problem when you try to save a voice on.  I have done this time much, much, much before, so I don't know I'm missing just a setting somewhere or something, any advice would be appreciated.

  == Steps to reproduce:

  1 shift playback slider down in the track (e.g. 00:00:42:12)

  2. in the control panel of the mixer Audio Track, select a track for recording and select the 'Save' button at the bottom of the Audio Track Mixer Panel.

  3. click on the button Play-Stop switches in the audio mixer Panel. (SPACEBAR or click both have the same problem)

  Is expected result:

  The timeline should start reading 00:00:42:12 and audio should record from there.

  Is actual result:

  The timeline goes to 00:00:00:00 and replaces my previous audio in the timeline panel.

  Here is a screen recording of what I see.

  Still, any advice would be appreciated!

  Hey Nate,

  It seems that you have made a selection in the timeline panel. Clearly the In/Out points your cursor is no longer "jump" to zero (or wherever is the point of 'In') and need to continue saving everywhere where you want.

  Have just started my trial period with PP CS4 and this is my first question (not able to track audio insert/overlay). Searched the forum topic and went into the FAQ and learned a lot,

  particularly re: correspondence of image sequence settings. I can drag clips from project platform to the chronology, but impossible to insert/overlay clips viewer where I put the in and out points.

  PP CS 4.0.0 Mac OS compressed AVCHD, MPEG Movie, Audio Source 10.7.2.

  Pencil and paper is the only way I found. A feature request would be your best bet - though not a single one providing instant gratification.

  IMO, the audio mixer in first still seems almost completely disconnected from the rest of the interface. I'm not sure if it's by necessity, or just because the audio mixer has kind of shoehorned into the unit. Personally, I do not use mixer audio too because of this; I prefer to do almost anything with video effects and manual stretching.

  In short, I think that the mixing table needs a major overhaul, including features such as you are suggesting.
