  I am working to make development on a laptop and learned a few things:

  I believe that your comment that "can only access sites on the Internet" is incorrect.  In fact, one of the benefits of MDS is that it works behind a firewall and therefore can access intranet sites.  I think you'll find that localhost is not a URL supported for the MDS Simulator.  Take a look at this post for example:

  However, I don't have one answer for your other questions sorry.  Looking at the log, it seems that the application is not yet that is transferred by the MDS, almost as if the MDS Simulator complained of a URL with a Port inside address.  There may be some MDS MDS Simulator fixation or required.  I suggest that you try to use your local IP address just to prove that there is no involvement of the network in the response and let us know.

  Can you tell us the level of JDE and MDS Simulator you are using?

• IOS 5 123-a 3620 CBAC SMTP issue

  I recently tested a 123-5 has image. Upon restart, my clients external smtp would fail on pop3. Troubleshooting, I found that the access list was fine. When, however, I would apply the firewall even with a wide open access as external smtp clients list would fail. Anyone know about this issue? I checked the notes below and found nothing. Sound on a 3620 16Flash 64 MB of ram. Any help appreciated. I had to roll back to a train of 12.2 T and it works very well.

  Recently, we changed our architecture around a bit of the APEX. Previously we used the Oracle HTTP server on the same host as the database. Now we pass the 'web' part of the APEX to another server using ADR with Apache TomCat. Under the old configuration, we have been able to send emails without any problem. However, when we try to do under the new configuration, we get the following SMTP error stack:

  When configure you the new application server, you MUST have reconfigured APEX, correct?  So you can have the apex_mail settings not the same as the old installation.

  This code is usually use for these errors that cannot be identified or classified running, then you can consider putting a retry for this error code but are, of course, that's not an infinite loop to try again. If even after a few attempts, you get always the same error then issue may be serious and must be addressed by admins.

• Plug-in for error AWM OBIEE: lack of spread attribute for dimension\

  As he tried to export a cube to OBIEE administrator using the AWM to OBIEE plugin we get the following error for a large number of dimensions.
  AWM version is 11.1.0.7.0B on a DB 11.1.0.7
  
  ERROR: Missing spread dimension DAY_FLG at the ALL_FLAGS level attribute
  ERROR: Missing spread DAY_FLG at level INDICATOR dimension attribute
  ERROR: Validation issues found for dimension DAY_FLG
  Dimension DAY_FLG will not result in UDML
  
  As suggested in other forums, I created an attribute long_desc and selected the option "level attribute created in views" for all the dimensions in the cube, still the error persists.

  It turned out as three separate issues here.

  (1) there were attributes created by AWM fallacious in the DAY_FLG dimension as described above. I deleted these hand of the XML template and recreated the dimension.

  "(2) there was a dimension where ' create the level attribute columns in the view" had not been verified. I just checked it in AWM.

  (3) the OBIEE plug-in requires that you have a long and a short dimension for each dimension. (I don't know why). There was in some dimensions attributes named short_description, which have been marked as a USER. In this case, I simply set the attribute Type to be brief Description. In two dimensions, there is only one attribute of description, so I created new attributes with identical mappings to create the type of additional description.

  Once all of these changes have been made in the plugin OBIEE took place without problems.

In my designer, when I right click on the home page and assign items to the region, a website hierarchy window you are prompted.   As your first question, you will have to look for two things.

  (1) assuming that you are using apache as a web server, you need to add an entry in the file httpd.conf for your web site.
  It would be something like that.

  (2) you must check SSUrlMapPlugin.dll is located in "\shared\os\win32\lib". what you need to do is to replace this dll from the
  one who is loacted at "\custom\SiteStudio\support\win32".

  After doing these two things only you restart CBS and SS, and then you should be able to display it in the Review tab.

  Good guy, I've beaten this horse to death. Frustration took over.

  How to make this work?

  I tried the NUMOROUS of code combinations and nothing works. The button "Test my SMTP settings" really isn't any help. If it were, my alarm would work very well. Almost any combination of 'smtp.gmail.com' or using stunnel "127.0.0.1" will test very well but the mailer comes back with errors.

  Various error messages when the test button has no errors:

  I used examples of settings of gmail from anywhere on the internet. I've used all sorts of combinations with the port 25, 465, and 587 in the mailer.ini file. I tried different e-mail accounts, different mail servers. With and without authhentification of SMTP. In stunnel, I used the same settings like Win911 and others from various internet sources. All with the same results as above.

  I CAN get my settings e-mail to work without using stunnel, but only at my office. I have clients across the State with different internet service providers and what works for one may not work for another. When that happens, the local IT guy for my client and me standing in the same room that pointing the finger at each other and that seems wrong on us two. I made the mistake to hit the "Test my SMTP Settings" button in front of the customer and it says ' Test successful: SMTP server is available without authentication.   Stunnel parameters must include "protocol = smtp. For gmail to work, use the following settings:
