  New to Oracle BI and have a problem with filters that use the SQL Expressions.
  
  The column I'm filtering is a 4-digit year, expressed as a VARCHAR2(4 byte) in the physical database. My SQL Expression in the filter is:
  
  Column: CAL 4-DIGIT YEAR
  Operator: is in
  SQL expression: TO_CHAR (ADD_MONTHS (SYSDATE,-24), "YYYY"))
  
  When I click on the "Results" tab, I get the following error message:
  Error codes: YQCO4T56:OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
  ODBC driver returned an error (SQLExecDirectW).

  I've isolated the problem to the above expression. If I put a literal value and provide a year to four digits as below, it works:

  Yep, this should work, although sometimes you need an extra cast to CHAR.

• Using Sysdate with picker within the Application Express

  We use sysdate Auto Fill a date field on one of our forms. The user can keep this date or use the date picker to update a different date value. The problem we encounter, is that when we use the sysdate, the date picker appears with the current month, but the year is 1920 instead of the current year. When choosing a date with 1920, i.e. 2 June 1920 the date displayed value is 02/06/11. When we remove the sysdate, the date picker displays the current month and year and the returned value is also correct.

  1920 is the minimum possible value of year that provides the date picker. In my view, it is failing for it because you have a data mask uses the figures of 2 years, try to use format of 4 years as:

  I have a simple program that I wrote in the 8.6 version that I've never had a problem generation and execution of applications built with it to 8.6.  Two weeks ago, I got 2009 by mail because we had very recently purchased 8.6 and I get errors when you try to run an application built with the same code using 2009.  The error relates to the Mean.vi.  He claims that he can't find it.  The error I get is as follows:

  I have both Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express 2003 loaded on my computer
  Only, I use Outlook Express and have not used regularly Outlook in 5 years.
  I have no problems using Express, (both in the sending or receiving of emails).
  There is no "snap-emails" sent or received in Outlook regular and none in the Outbox.  The same with the Express.
   
  About every month, compresses files Outlook Express and in doing so, the folder sent items do not get compressed, it does not create a new file SentItems.bak and it gives me the error: has SENT the file is currently being used by Outlook or by another application. 
   
  All the time this problem started, I received a number of updates to Office 2003 from Microsoft (probably updates 20-25).  They have installed without incident and that's the only problem resulting, I had with one of the components of Office.

  The sent items folder may have a corruption.  Create a new folder and copy the text in the folder into the new folder.  Then close OE and delete the file sent items.dbx.  OE will create a new.  DBX files should not receive more than a few hundred megabytes or they get corrupted.

  A more effective solution: since you seem to have corruption, it may mean that there are more, if you can set up a new message store by clicking file | Identities.  Then you can add your accounts, use the file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.  Which will remove all corruption.

  Then I restarted all services of EPM and logged on to the console of Regional service as admin, once again, deleted and added an Essbase server again and I get the same "error 105: connection with a token to MaxUni ' when you try expand the Essbase server node again.

  I saw something similar bez Essbase RTC was not updated to match the version of Essbase and EAS server. Download and apply the 17767299 hotfix that is Essbase RTC 500. This should solve the problem.

  No version of Essbase Excel Add-In supports Unicode. It is also documented in the Essbase Administrator's Guide.

  You can use SmartView to the place in which you would not be facing this problem.

  The error you mentioned does not match the description of the usual Windows blue screen errors. When I put this error for a web-search, it has proved to be a common problem with some HP computers.
