  • Impossible to uninstall Adobe Reader 10.1.3. Error - the patch package could not be opened.

Original title: Add or remove programs, what is meant by a hotfix package?

I am trying to remove the program Adobe Reader 10.1.3 & when I try to remove it, I get an error message that reads: the patch package could not be opened.  Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows setup hotfix package.

    Hello

A Windows Installer patch (.msp file) is a file used to provide updates for Windows Installer applications. The fix is a stand-alone package that contains all the information needed to update the application.

A hotfix package contains updates the actual application and describes which versions of the application can receive the fix.

    Method 1:

See the article and try to run the Troubleshooter:

Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

    Method 2:

See the article and check if that helps:

Update, patch | Acrobat, Reader 10.x | Windows, Mac OS

  • Error: "the patch cannot be installed by the Setup program because the program is missing" during installation and Service Pack 2 for Corel Draw X 3.

original title: corel draw X 3 need a file to upgrade to work and will not install Windows install. I am running XP

Windows Installer won't install Corel Draw X 3 patch for Corel SP1 and SP2.  Corel X 3 was released at the end of the 1980s, well before updates from Microsofts SP.

These files are patches for the X 3 program and have nothing to do with Microsoft SP 1, 2 and 3.

The error that gives the installer of windows, is that the patch cannot be installed by the installer, because the program is missing (which is not the case) or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program, (which he did... this fix is designed especially for the X 3 only and is in fact the upgrade for him.)

It says to check that I have the program on my computer and I have the appropriate fix. (What I'm doing.)
    NOTE:
Last week I had to remove Corel X 3 from my computer and re-install. After that, I couldn't get the patch installed, and it needs those 2 patches to work properly.

I am running XP Pro with MS Service pack 3 on my computer.  I have Intel pentium 4, 2944 usable Mg 300Ghz installed memory 266,80 GB of free space on 2 hard drives.

Another site said a faulty windows installer can cause "out of memory" errors and has spent in Corel Draw so I deleted and reinstalled as I've mentioned above. Any ideas on how to get this installed?  Hope you can help, I don't know where to turn to the next if not. Corel does not support this program because of his age. I can't afford to update at the moment so I have a problem here. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Been away in a few days. Just in case anyone else has this problem, I found the answer. It's one of those moments DUHHH.

If you use the version of Corel Draw X 3 13.0.0.739, there already = sp1 and sp2 patches and pre-installed horfix.

Should check that the first step, but I thank you

David Vinod to try to help this sometimes fictitious.

  • Screen error black patch after reinstalling/updating VISTA on my desktop HP Paviill a6137c,.

I have a HP Pavilion a6137c desktop purchased in 2007 with Vista 32 bit OS.

My original factory hard drive failed [multiple power cuts in the short period of time] the error screen says "bad sectrors" well I could substitute these areas [somehow] and I continued to use the player for a few weeks/months before the "bad sector" error came again.

I bought and installed a WD Caviar Blue SATA 320 GB Hard drive model #WDBAAX3200ENC-NSPS.

I still have the old hard disk installed but not hung in the second Bay from the HD.

After you have installed the origianl software [I bought HP factory records a couple of weeks], Vista Home Premium 32 - bit, I ran Windows Update with its updates 106 or 107, he recommended.  After completing the update and restart, Windows does not load, I get a black screen and invites me to restore to a previous restore point.  Paragraph of error message basically says that he was a "'patch', causing the problelm, but I don't know which.»  I apologize for not sending you the error message I get, I had restored the computer before thinking to copy.  I'm under update again and if I get the error again, which I'm sure I'll [because it is the fifth or sixth time I've restored and re run upd8 er] I'll send over the error message if necessary.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Ann Bailey

As of this minute, I'm re-running the updates and plan to run Microsoft FIX IT

Thank you for your offer to help, I don't have the error this time, assumes that the FIX WORKED program! Yay!

  • Error using the JDBC connection from 12.4SE

We are upgrading to 12.4 SE and explore using JDBC, rather than rely on ODBC connections.  We run on windows and connect to SQLServer2012.  I found in the administration guide how to set up.  After having GENDAW32 the analysis falls down.

I tried with sometimes a JTDS driver as well as the microsoft JDBC driver.

With the driver microsoft is the error:

SQL Server supports the feature queued at the connection level only. Use the connection.setHoldability () method.

    With JTDS driver error is:

CLOSE_CURSORS_AT_COMMIT option is not currently supported by the setHoldability method.

Anyone has any ideas how to fix?  All database settings, to change?

My DBHandler settings.  Note the microsoft driver failed with the same message without worrying about selectMethod was there or failed

  • Opatch error: the patch directory field must be a number.

    Hello Sir,

I try to upgrade EBS 11i to R12, I come to this place of the document

    ·          SQL> shutdown immediate;

    · 27 apply additional 11.2.0.4 RDBMS patches

    when I apply patch 17468141 ,

I had this error patch area directory must be a number, but I apply patches a lot before I do not had this error.

So please help me out in this matter.

    Thank you

    Ahmed.

    Hello

If you want to upgrade the database 11g and the application of R12 in the same window of downtime, then do not follow the document ID 881505.1 and rather follow Doc ID 1058763.1.

If you want to upgrade to 11g and stay on 11i for awhile, you can then follow the document 881505.1. Patching must be performed while the application is down.

The examples CD is in 6 of the fix 13390677file. When you click Download, you will get a list of 7 files.

Download files 1,2 and 6 only.

    Download OPatch step by step:

    1. Go to the download of patches
    2. Type the patch # 6880880
    3. Enter your platform (x 86 Linux, for example)
    4. Look for a patch with the description "hotfix version 11.2.0.3.10 of Oracle software OPatch publishes 11.2.0.x (April 2015).
    5. Download the patch
    6. Unzip the file into the 11.2.0.4 oracle home (unzip qo - p6880880_112000_LINUX.zip d $ORACLE_HOME)
    7. Check the version (version opatch)

  • Need help in configuration of Proxy reverse using Apache - R12

We have a reverse proxy configuration using Apache 2.2 for Oracle Apps R12.
Demand is expected to go this way: Load Balancer (Port: 443) (https)-> reverse Proxy (Apache-> Server(Port: 8000) Application)(Port: 8000)-> database (Port: 1521).
Application is configured in https mode.

Now, when we go to the URL we get initial redirection page. i.e.
The E-Business Home Page is located at
    https://upgtest.ultimatix.org/OA_HTML/AppsLogin
If your browser is not automatically redirect to its new location, click here.

Then after redirection we get 404. Single application (without the reverse proxy server) works very well. We get the problem when you use the reverse proxy server between the two.
We receive a 404 error on apache reverse proxy server. Please help us to solve the issue.
Need urgent help. Best regards, Stéphane

We have successfully configured. The installation works fine now.

  • EN the error using the grid java.rmi.UnmarshalException

    Hello

I started using Hyperion Financial Reporting on the remote machine and now I installed it on my machine.

Everything was ok during the installation process. Then I tried to create a new report with a new grid. When I click on the button, EN gives me the following error:

    ********

    ; nested exception is:

java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error demarshalling return; nested exception is:

java.io.InvalidClassException: com.hyperion.reporting.graphics.GridObject; incompatible local class: stream classdesc serialVersionUID =-1288366423950156093, local class serialVersionUID =-5245705824007679661

    ********

Can someone explain to me what I can do to fix this error?

In my experiences, it gives me this error when a report have a grid or when I try to create a.

It is perhaps at a level different patch, EN can be sometimes not work so well when the client and server versions do not match.

    See you soon
