Error V2V conversion

I'm doing a V2V conversion between a host 5.5 and a 5.5 temp host. Whenever I convert the machine, he gets to 15% and fails with the message "FAILURE: a general error occurred: TaskInfo indicates an error, but no exception is specified." I tried to review the logs but not really something out of me. I join this thread. If someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated!

Your mistake is (repeatedly):

2015 12-31 T 10: 56:54.534 - 06:00 WARNING vmware-converter-worker [21500] [sub Originator@6876 = Default] [, 0] [NFC ERROR] the operation was cancelled - NfcFile_Stream: cancelled Server receive

The concrete problem could be found in the server logs, but you can try to disable SSL and try to restart the conversion (just a guess).

5 converter has the ability to intercept any change during the P2V conversion of post synchronization. There are two types - a regular synchronization and let the live conversion or a final synchronization that complements the P2V.

I'm trying to do a conversion, v2v with autonomous 5.1 Converter on a windows 2008 r2 VM. I do this to reduce the system partition that has been wrongly finely 415 concerts up to 100 service.

    It gets most of the way by and I get an error that says "an error occurred during conversion:" cannot change the startup type of the pilot bitmap to SERVICE_BOOT_START, context = "IncrementalConversion(job-1:0)-[d2 52 11 61 2 b 43 41 85 - 6 d if 90 5 d 6f c7 94 90]" ', error = 0'.

I looked on the internet and there is nothing I can find on this. Does anyone have ideas, what I can do?

Thank you very much in advance.

The driver of the Bitmap is used only when the progressive conversion is used. You want a progressive conversion?

I recommend you to reinstall the converter, this should fix the problem with the driver.

The V2V means you convert VM power off, the P2V means that you convert the machine (physical or virtual). If you can do V2V on your server, I advised.

  • How to defeat Google play Services taken in charge not error after conversion (reconditioning) apk for bar

    Hi guys,.

Recently I converted (reconditioned) our app Android to Blackberry App (apk-> bar) using their recommended tool. The conversion was done successfully with Code signing. But after installing the bar, resulting in the camera, it shows Google play Services not supported error. I understand that Google play Services is Android specific operating system and not be supported directly by BB. But our needs of the application needs of Google Services play to run background location API services.

After a little research had found an option to patch the APK file and remove game services coupled into that and then convert the striped apk / patched in bar file. Anyone can throw some light on this? Since I was looking for the apk to convert with the basic functionality (location Services) in the BB. Can it be replaced by similar location services, or something similar without changing the code? If Yes please let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

Nice, one of the few to actually get an answer here.

The only way to solve the problem, is to go into the source code of the application.  Find and delete all references to the Google Services play and/or include the services of alternatives (in rare cases, an alternative is available).  Keeping in mind, what specific BlackBerry will be * only * works on BlackBerry - so get ready to manage a separate version and the branch for your application goes forward.

In any case, after however many hours it forces you to rewrite all the code sections that are facilitated by the Services of Google - play you can then try and repackage and submit your application on BlackBerry.  Moreover, assuming that you take someone elses APK and reconditioning without permission - which represents about 75% of the APK for BAR conversions in BlackBerry World today - the only solution is something like that.

When you do that, you will have the privilege of working with the BlackBerry test team - who will probably reject your application a few dozen times for some reason, they may make up ("I've had them rejecting applications because a URL Pointant to http://appworld.blackberry.com ' has not used the name recommended for BlackBerry World - as Hello, it's not my URL to change).  But I digress from the topic, hope that helps.

  • ORA-02374: error loading conversion table / ORA-12899: value too large for column

    Hi all.

Yesterday I got a dump of a database that I don't have access and Production is not under my administration. This release was delivered to me because it was necessary to update a database of development with some new records of the Production tables.

The Production database has NLS_CHARACTERSET = WE8ISO8859P1 and development database a NLS_CHARACTERSET = AL32UTF8 and it must be in that CHARACTER set because of the Application requirements.

During the import of this discharge, two tables you have a problem with ORA-02374 and ORA-12899. The results were that six records failed because of this conversion problem. I list the errors below in this thread.

Read the note ID 1922020.1 (import and insert with ORA-12899 questions: value too large for column) I could see that Oracle gives an alternative and a workaround that is to create a file .sql with content metadata and then modifying the columns that you have the problem with the TANK, instead of BYTE value. So, as a result of the document, I done the workaround and generated a discharge .sql file. Read the contents of the file after completing the import that I saw that the columns were already in the CHAR value.

Does anyone have an alternative workaround for these cases? Because I can't change the CHARACTER set of the database the database of development and Production, and is not a good idea to keep these missing documents.

Even with the semantics of TANK, the bytes for a column VARCHAR2 max length is 4000 (pre 12 c)

OLA Yehia makes reference to the support doc that explains your options - but essentially, in this case with a VARCHAR2 (4000), you need either to lose data or change your data type of VARCHAR2 (4000) to CLOB.

    Suggest you read the note.

  • V2V conversion with no space on the data store.

    Hi all -

I need to resize/shrink a disc of comments (disc Win2008r2 800 GB to 300 GB) and I read that there is some reasonable success using a conversion, v2v (with vCenter Standalone Converter), but my concern is that I have only 50 GB free on the host data store.

I would be able to download and drop the virtual machine folder and files on my local machine and convert from my local to the esxi host?  If not, what other options are there?

    Thanks in advance

    -michael ~.

Yes, you can use the VMware Converter to convert the machine virtual VMware Workstation/Player format and save the files on your PC.

Once this is done, then run the converter again choose VMware Workstation/Player as source and your virtual infrastructure as your destination.

However, if the new virtual machine is over 50 GB in size, you can have a space problem.  You can, on the last page of the VMware converter during the movement of the virtual dos machine to your vSphere host, make sure that the disc is set to THIN provision...

    Good luck!

    Hi all

I am currently using Vmware vCenter Conversion v. 5.0.1 and I tried to convert a local computer running Windows 7 64 bit SP1 Ent two that has three times, but I still got the message indicated in the title.

My local computer has two physical hard disks:

    (1) boot HDD (part of the system reserved + part of startup)

    (2) data HARD drive, where the user dir is (part)

as I am a noob in Vmware I request assistance. I don't really know how to solve this error.

    Thanks in advance!

OK - start the virtual machine in recovery mode or use a collection of Win7 or LiveCD.
After that start is finished to start regedit - select HKLM and then click "load hive".
Select the C:\windows\system32\config\SYSTEM file and give it a name - 'p2v' for example.
Then find HKLM\p2v\ControlSet001\services\LSI_SAS and set the value to 0 initially.
Unload the hive again, then restart

  • V2V conversion...

    Dear team,

I have two sites one is prod and second doctor, I want to clone/copy of the receiving VM prod on the DR site. I just want to confirm once I do the conversion, v2v with the help of the stand-alone converter vcenter, will it copy/clone the VM or it will be directly migrate from prod to DR.

    concerning

    Mr. Vmware

The V2V converter Standalone process will produce copy of the VM source to the destination.  Thus, you source VM will not be moved our impacted.

Also, if you the source and destination ESX host are managed by the same instance of vCenter you can power the VM source and clone to destination without the need of converter.

  • V2V conversion but attempt hard drives not recognized

    Hi all

I'm V2V a Windows 2008 R2 server using the latest conversion tool provided by Vmware. But what happens when the wizard gets to the last part where you change prefs available to drive there not hard to select drives. Then of course with no hard disks the conversion does not start. I disable disk one / software v before turning off all services. I also confirmed there is no utility disk installed that could interfere. Any ideas on how I can go beyond the obstacles are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    vmguy

As the source system that you choose? When you perform a V2V with engine turned off the virtual machine, you must select 'Vmware infrastructure virtual machine', connect to hosts and select the virtual machine on that host.

  • Error during Conversion

I'm P2V a physical Linux (RHEL 5.3 64-bit) with VMware vCenter Converter Standalone v5 system to our server VMware ESX 4.1 farm. All data on this farm warehouses (there are 4 in total) are 3 VMFS with 1048576 block size. There are several virtual machines on the datastore (s) already to change the block size may not be an option.

    The physical server has

    102 MB/Boot

    239GB.

    33 GB swap

When the discovery of P2V takes place, I get the error: "error: the file on"datastore_name"system does not support this file." Please check the file system block size.

How can I make this conversion work?

All tracks are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

With a block size of 1 MB VMFS, you have a limit of 256 GB per file. Given that you have the 239 GB root partition and 33 GB pagefile altogether is 272 GB, which cannot be met by a data store VMFS MB-block 1.

The opitions you are either to reduce the volume of root file system if there is no free space (eg. If you only have 100 GB of data, you can reduce the / size to p. e.g. 150 GB and then everything would fit into a virtual drive 256 GB). In the case of a LVM volume (since it is a RedHat distribution probably it doesn't) then you can always add another virtual disk on the virtual computer or extend the current and add more free space for the root file system.

If this isn't an option, you can try moving the swap to another virtual disk partition. When you open the 'copy data' page, you can switch to advanced mode and select layout of Destination, here you have options for adding and removing virtual disks / oscillating virtual disk volumes. In the specific case, you try add a new virtual disk and move the partition to swap for it. This should create two VMDK files on the target - one containing the boot and root volumes and the other - the swap partition.
