error: windows system font is too large for STORYBOOK WEAVER runs correctly. Tried to change the screen resolution-same error

Software loading STORYBOOK WEAVER DLX - seems to load correctly.  When I tried to run it received the error popup: Windows system font is too large to run Storybook Weaver.  You can remedy this by using the control panel to change your display driver to use small fonts.

I tried several setting resolution screen, but same error.

Contact seller: said their tests show that this software is compatible with Vista.

How can I make it work?

Try adjusting the settings:
1. go in Control Panel
2. click on customize
3. in the right pane of personalization, click "adjust font size (DPI).
4. click on the 'Continue' button on the user account control prompt.
5. check the box before "Default scale (96 DPI)"-Fit more information "."
6. click on the button 'Apply' and 'OK '.

Just in case people always have a problem with this problem, pls here's a solution that worked for me...

I spent the last month trying to solve this problem, and "youemailme" (another thread here) had the correct solution for me! And so Simple!

I noticed on Blogs that this problem has existed for at least Win98 is not your computer or your operating system.

The question seems to be programs in your Menu has a different screen resolution to set startup, thereby causing the screen resolution change when you start your computer. This isn't a MicroSoft program error, but rather a question of "settings".

With me, what worked were 2 things:

    (1) perform the 'clean boot process' as advised by many to determine which granted software was causing the problem... and then.

    (2) right click on the name of the program (as discovered in above) 'problem' in the Start Menu > properties > compatibility.  For some reason, there is an option to "run in 640 x 480 screen resolution", which has been verified.  This program was in the startup folder and the cause of the problem.  Then unchecked the resolution box. No problem.

In my view, there are a large number of people dealing with this exact problem. I hope that this process of step 2 could solve their problems.

(ps, just thinking about it now, you might not even bother with the 'clean boot process' but simply go through all your programs in your Start Menu and run the 2nd step explained above. Should work?)

  • Can not reduce the brightness or can change the screen resolution to double screen in windows server 2012 R2.

    Hello Experts

I'm new to this community and please forgive me if I hurt all over.

Use windows server 2012 R2 on my laptop (previously I was using Windows 7 Home premium), now I cannot able to reduce brightness or can change the resolution of the screen to double (I want to connect my laptop to a bigger screen using VGA cable).

Everything was fine using Windows 7. But after the installation of the server, I am facing this problem.

    Please help me.

    Hello

I suggest you post your query on the TechNet forums to get help. Consult the following link:

    It will be useful.

  • Recently changed the screen resolution. Said Yes when asked if I wanted larger icons on the new resolution. You want to return to the original settings.

Sytem restore tells me that no changes.  Which is bullshit as when I went back to smaller resolution icons have been spaced more far and the gray area at the top of the screen did not return to small.  This means that I have to use the first symbol to minimize, and then right-click to get on the net.  The square and the cross are off the screen.

    Hello Elenoe,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

Not positive I understand exactly what you are trying to accomplish, however for the two questions you have with the larger icons and minimizing Internet Explorer I'll give you some steps to resolve.

    Large icons

-Right-click Law Office > click Properties > click on settings tab > click on advanced > click on the general tab (if we by default)
-Under view > compensates for the ppp settings.

    Internet Explorer minimizing

From your description, it sounds like your Internet Explorer is beyond the edge of the screen.

-Right click on the icon to the taskbar for Internet Explorer > click enlarge

Maximize your screen to the right size?

If the minimal State, you can't get the edges in order to size the window try:

-Right click on the icon to the taskbar for Internet Explorer > click size > press your up, down, left, or right arrow key to select which edge you need to move.

For example, if you move the right edge: press your right arrow button > by using the left and right arrow keys move the right edge of the window, and when finished press on enter

    Hope this helps

    Hello

There may be something wrong with the screen of laptop computers.
I guess that the graphics card is ok because the external screen works properly.

But it s very interesting to know if you are using the graphics driver from Toshiba. If this isn't the case, please check if this problem also appears after installation of the graphics driver from the Toshiba driver page.

  • Objects too large for Inspiron mini 10 - Windows XP

    Hi all

    I hope someone can help.

I have a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 - Windows XP and I have recently put it in a factory reset just to give it a new impetus because it seems to be runing slowly.  Now that he's back him speede it fine but I have a problem with my screen.  All too big i.e. icons, start button etc.  This means when I have any program up that I have to scroll around.  I changed the zoom level for each individual program but it does not help.  I was in Control Panel and tried to change the screen resoluntion however it only allows me to move from a configuration option to the other, which I think is the solution.

I didn't have this problem before the factory reset, so I think there must me an easy soluntion I'm not aware of.  Y at - it a disc that I missed off the coast?  I downloaded all updates including windows sent through.  Don't know what to do.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.  Microsofts soluntion was "buy a new PC", not useful!.

    Thank you

I was in Control Panel and tried to change the resolution of the screen however it only allows me to move from a configuration option to the other, which I think is the solution.

Right-click on an empty space on the desktop and select Properties.  Then select the tab "settings".  Can you drag the slider under "Screen Resolution" right?  What is the value?

    If this does not work...

Over the years, Dell has had a number of different methods to do a "factory reset", so I don't know what you could have done... but it seems that if you do not reinstall the drivers, in particular, the driver of the video card.

Go here--> http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/inspiron-mini10/configuration and either submit your Dell Service number or click on the button "Scan now" to see what drivers you need.

  • Value too large for column

    Hello

I have a column with the varchar2 data type (500) next to oltp, I extract the data from this column and loading in another column of tables which has the same varchar2 data type (500)

My problem: I get error with a value too large for column when I am trying to load data in certain folders. (I guess there is a problem of character format, if that's the case how to check characters for the data format)

    Help, please

Do not forget that the 500 in varchar2 (500) specifies the size of the storage. This means that you have 500 bytes of storage.

Which may depend on your default however nls_length_semantics: your statement is true semantics bytes but neither tank:

SQL> select name, value from sys.v_$parameter where lower (name) like '%length%'

  • Windows will not update the screen resolution and the color depth

Out of the blue today, my Windows XP installation had its color depth and screen resolution back to the lowest setting and whenever I try to update it refuses to put up-to-date.

I even try to restart my computer and a bubble appears downstairs offering reset the color depth and resolution to my automatically.  When I click, it appears as if he's trying to return to normal, but again once nothing happens - the colors and the screen resolution is still at the lowest setting.

Can any ideas on how I fix?

    Hello

Here are some things to try to fix it.

    Change the screen resolution.

"How the resolution screen on Windows XP"

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/Videocards/HT/screenres.htm

You can also right-click on an empty desktop > properties > settings > it the slider bar allows you to increase the resolution > Apply > OK > agree in the next window, etc.

If that fixed it, have damaged you graphic drivers.

Access the site on your computer or the manufacturer of the graphics card > look for a driver download Section > search for your model number and operating system > get graphics / video / Chipset Drivers (depending on how it is formulated) > download and install.

    Change the screen resolution.

You can also try a system restore before all these problems started:

"How to use System Restore in Windows XP"

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/HT/system-restore-XP.htm

    See you soon.

  • I have netbook Asus eeepc 1005HA with windows 8 instaled as, how can I increase the screen resolution? Thank you in advance.

I want to enjoy the new interface and not access anything from there. I hope that there is a way.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi , Sideria,

Thanks for posting in the Forum the Microsoft community.

I understand from your description you want to change the resolution of the screen.

To change the Screen resolution, do the following:

Step 1: Right click on the desktop and select Screen Resolution screen resolution window.

Step 2: You can see the current screen resolution then the resolution box. If the resolution is less than 1024 x 768 pixels, you can set a higher resolution, if your PC supports. To change the resolution in progress, click resolution box and select a higher resolution.

  • Can't change my screen resolution - Windows 8 PRO

I have computer LAPTOP Compaq Presario A900 in which I installed Windows 8 Pro. After the installation, I'm not able to change my screen resolution. When I right click on the desktop, and then select the screen resolution, it is written in the resolution 1024 x 768 (recommended)box. I can't change the screen resolution. In Device Manager, I tried to update my Generic PnP Monitor driver, it says that your driver is up to date.

This Device Manager cannot find generic drivers.  I recommend go to the Compaq website and download all the drivers for your model laptop (same drivers you already have, bring here to ensure that you have the latest version of the non-generic), but above all, including the graphics driver.

Either there is not enough space on the destination or the size of the file is larger than the destination system can accept, for example FAT32 cannot have a file size more than 4 GB.
