Errors in library with network variables

I'm trying to use variables shared for my real time program CVI, but whenever I try to make a call to a function CNVwhatever, it-error saying that it was unable to open the library. I'm under CVI 8.5 with all drivers up to date. I uninstalled an reinstalled all the software on my module PXI-8106 twice now. The Variables shared more up-to-date software is also installed on the machine of RT. What I am doing wrong? Thank you.

Hello Mark,

I found documentation that describes this error and he gave a possible solution, I want you to try:

The error-6398 is thrown because LabWindows/CVI is looking for the 8.5.1 version of the DLL on the RT system and it can find version 8.5.0. To work around this problem, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Directory to \RT Images\CVI\8.5.
  2. The ninetvR.dll file and rename it ninetvR.dll.old.
  3. Download the attached file ninetvR.dll to the \RT Images\CVI\8.5 directory.
  4. Open the Measurement & Automation Explorer
  5. Expand the category of remote systems .
  6. Expand the target of RT.
  7. Right-click on the software element and select Add/Remove Programs.
  8. Select the Network of LabWindows/CVI Variable for RT element in the tree view of the setup of the wizard of the LabVIEW Real-time software,
  9. Click on the icon next to this entry and select reinstall this feature. Click Next.
  10. In the review selections dialog box, ensure that the entries are correct, and then click Next.
  11. Restart the system.
  12. After reboot, the system variable RT functions network should work.

I had to post the file as a .zip file, even if it is a dll.  Please download the file and change the extension back to .dll
Please let me know if you have any other questions implementation of this solution.  I hope this helps!

  • network variables

    Greetings,

    I wrote an application that uses c# VS2005 and Measurement Studio 8.5 to control a test Chamber.

    I would like to monitor some settings on a network or the Internet with network variables

    on a remote computer. I have to install Measurement Studio on the remote computer for this

    to work? Or just install some assemblies with a msi installation file?

    Thank you

    SThompson.

    Hi SThompson,

    As the network variables are not a component of measurement studio, you won't have to have it installed on the remote computer unless you plan to debug and recompile an application developed in Measurement Studio.  To deploy the network variables, simply enter the correct merge your installer module:

    Once you create the Setup project, simply add the MStudioNetworkVariable.2005.msm merge module located in the program directory Files\Fichiers communs\Merge Modules for the project. Add this merge module also adds necessary additional dependencies. This step is necessary in order to collect and deploy all the dll and files for the underlying network variable. Thank you very much for your help. The Variable engine OR has been and should be included in the intallation.

    I was able to get the application running. I installed the System Manager distributed on the PC without LabVIEW to control if the library has been get deployed. • published RT cRIO-9030 with network-a project of shared variables cannot communicate with host VI when compiled and deployed as executable startup.

    I have a project including a VI RT running on a cRIO-9030 and a host VI running on a desktop computer.  The two programs communicate via shared variables that are hosted on the cRIO.  As shows, when I run the screw of the project, everything works as expected.  When I compile the RT VI in a start-up executable can deploy for the cRIO, as well as the libraries of shared variables (the record of support in the build specification-oriented), I am unable to connect to the executable running in real time.

    I have 'Disable Autodeploy Variables' checked on the cRIO target, if I no longer get the prompt to stop the currently running application to deploy the variables.  The host VI opens and appears to run, but has no connection with shared variables (data does not update).  Compilation of the host VI as an executable file and it works outside the project result in the same behavior.

    I read some relevant posts / knowledge base articles related to this problem, but still can't seem to find a way around it.  I note a number of articles on the series in double bond of variables, but this is in contradiction with my possible behavior for this system: I finally have a number of cRIO controllers identical all runnning the same executable RT and want to be able to have a single host VI which allows the user to select from a list of available controllers (using the screw system configuration) and extract the host name of the controller selected, that would be later used for programmatic addressing of the variables on the host of part VI.

    In any case, I want to start with the simple fact of being able to get that first controller running without an open connection to the RT VI project.  With the deployed executable start, I checked via programmed behavior of LED application of the RT and FPGA are running on the cRIO.  The problem, I think, has to do with shared variables, but I'm not sure where to go from here.  I want to connect to RT executable running from the VI to the host (in project) to verify that the compiled executable of RT works as expected and then the subsequently compile host VI in an executable that can be run from any desktop on the local subnet.

    Thoughts?

    It seems that the error has now been corrected.  There were three things, I changed: the file startup.aliases in the startup on the target directory (Home: / lvuser/natinst/bin) put in 'localhost' as an alias for the controller.  I changed it to the IP address of the controller.  Then, I got some features of IO files in my application RT relative paths using the path obtained by the 'current path VI' VI.  As this path changes according to the location / delivery system, I had to create a VI that has used the Application property: type with a case properly structure band / build railroads desired regardless of the runtime system data files.  This may have broke my RT request.  Finally, I got a property node in one of my RT SubVIs, who attempted to change an indicator in the Subvi, which is not taken care of in an RT compiled executable.  I can't do this for debugging purposes somewhere along the way, but in any case, I removed it, and after a recompilation and the deployment of the executable of RT, everything seems to work as expected today.  The host VI on the desktop can connect to the application of the RT project, and when it is compiled into an executable file, which also works.

    How can I use shared Variables to transfer data from Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI)...

    You can also try something. To do this, you must go to the EXE VBAI here:

    For 32-bit machines:
    C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\Vision 20XX\ VBAI

    For 64-bit machines:
    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Vision VBAI 20XX\

    Right-click on "Vision Builder.exe", and then select Properties.  Make sure "run this program as an administrator" is checked.

    Click OK, and then try to rerun VBAI. You may need to redeploy the variables in the variable Manager until they work properly.

  • Network Variable string array

    Hi all

    I'm working on a project that would require one program to talk to another (same computer) program, where the use of the network variable.

    Now say that I have a list or a table of names that the changes in a single program, what I would do is to take parts of the list that is in a single program and transfer parts of the list to another program.

    The list must be transferred at least 40 unique names of different sizes with letters.

    I have data tables ready I just need to understand the part of the transfer.

    I tried the 3D.sim, but it seems to be a problem when I'm with strings, especially when the strings are of different lengths.

    Also when using the CNVCreateArrarDataValue errors on table place being small on the size of the array?

    String array lists are usually 2D (line and size) does that factor in?

    Assume the network variable is declared

    code exp just to get the idea...

    int i = 0, numItems = 10;

    Data CNVData = 0, NVlist [120]= {0};

    size_t dim= {0};

    size_t dim2 = {0};

    for (i = 0; i<>

    {

    char name [20] list = "0" / "."

    GetTabelCellValue (Panel, PANEL_LIST, MakePoint(2,i), name of the list);

    Dim [0] = strlen (listName);       I tried size_of but definalty did the Sun big

    CNVCreateArrayDataValue (& NVList [i], CNVString, name of the list, 1, Sun) ///i get questions of size table here

    dim2 ++;

    }

    CNVCreateStructDataValue (& data, NVList, dim2) ///here is another problem with dimensions

    CNVPutDataInBuffer (handle, data, 2000);

    I also tried

    for (i = 0; i<>

    {

    char name [20] list = "0" / "."

    GetTabelCellValue (table, list, MakePoint(2,i), name of the list);

    Dim [0] = strlen (listName);

    CNVCreateDataValue (& NVList [i], CNVString, name of the list)

    dim2 ++;

    }

    CNVCreateStructDataValue (& data, NVList, dim2) transfers of value of string ///one

    CNVPutDataInBuffer (handle, data, 2000);

    I think I'm close, but just can't get the right sequence

    Thanks

    lriddick,

    You can write an array of strings easily, but it must be an array of strings. It cannot be a two-dimensional character array, which is not the same thing. For example, the following code should work (I replaced your table with a table called "table", but the rest should be the same). Note that I have create only a single CVNData, not a picture of CNVData:

    char * array [] = {'one', 'two', ' three', 'four', 'five', "six", "seven", "eight", "nine", "ten"};
    char * name [10] list;
    CNVData = 0, NVList data;
    size_t dim [] = {10};
    for (i = 0; i<>
    {
    name of list [i] = malloc (strlen (table [i]) + 1);
    strcpy (name of list [i] table [i]);
    }
    CNVCreateArrayDataValue (& NVList, CNVString, listName, 1, Sun);
    for (i = 0; i<>
    free (listName [i]);

    CNVPutDataInBuffer (handle, NVList, CNVWaitForever);

  • reconnect the stall network of shared network variables

    I have a cRIO unit communicates with a laptop using shared network Variables, one of them being a table of 21 index which is buffered.

    The system connects and communicates very well, but sometimes the wireless laptop card is to lose the signal from the WAP, attached to the cRIO.

    In this case the network never shared Variables "reconnect" and start to receive values still once the wireless link is restored.  Is this expected behavior?

    When I tried to use other WAP industry instead of the card laptop wireless, I get no abandonment.

    Hello Ryan,

    Please contact National Instruments!  I looked into the problem you are having and I wanted to ask you a few questions more.  First of all, you have a period of time which allows the reconnection?  I believe that the Shared Variables should find the connection after a short period, but it may not be a very quick process.  It may take a few minutes to the Variables shared to reconnect.

    The other thing that could happen is if you have error son being passed by shared Variables, it is possible that the error is not be deleted, and so he will always see the error and not a so never reconnect.  In this case, you will need to filter this error and then clear the error in order to use again shared variables.

    If you have more specific information about your program that can help us to determine the reason for this behavior.  As a screenshot of your code would be useful.  Please let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to help you.  I hope this helps!

    No recent change in my computer. The computer is a Dell XPS with Vista (OB!)...

    From March, my iTunes search in vain for the store (or Gracenotes when I'm downloading music). In the case of the Bank, he just drove without producing an error message. With Gracenotes, he crashed to iTunes. In no case did an error message, even if the diagnostic tests said I didn't have a secure internet connection. My internet was working fine also.

    With regard to the blue screen crash (which has been a long-standing issue date)... Whenever I would try to get out of 'sleep', I get the error messages involving the so-called 'Kill Tray' saying that the programs were not available. When I try to stop, it gives me a blue screen and threaten a data dump.

    Yesterday, on the advice of the Apple technician, I have downloaded and run what's called Autoruns. He identified Bigfoot Networks as the constructor of the provider winsoc only non-Apple; I also know BN manufactures the tray to kill. I makes them research and found that their products are intended to improve the performance of the internet to video games. Since I do not online games, I decided to remove the program (although a few fragments remain). Happy to say that my iTunes is fixed and the other computer seems to be good results. I have not tried the rest ' sleep' function to see if this is also corrected.

    Thank you for your willingness to help.

    Impossible.

    Use of variable bind from a client means:
    (1) customer create a unique SQL cursor with bind variable, for example INSERT INTO FOOTABLE VALUES (: 1,: 2: 3)
    (2) customer from a loop of data read
    2.1) reading the customer data (from file, network, device, whatever)
    customer liaison variables 2.2) cursor (assigning values to 1 to 3 SQL cursor variables)
    2.3) client running the cursor
    line insertions 2.4) database
    loop repetitions of 2.5) client for all data
    (3) customer closed the SQL cursor

    This can be done using a SQL script - as a SQL script is not a loop where a single insertion cursor is used. It's a unique script with 100 or 1000 of SQL insert statements. Where each insert statement will result in a cursor SQL must be created.

    SQL * also does not support the approach of customer liaison above variable. It is a command line interface very PRIMITIVE and unsuitable for running scripts from loading/data entry.

    In your case - the right approach would be to have the data into a CSV file, and then load this file using SQL * Loader... where this software will use customer approach above (in fact he still does better because it uses in bulk link and link not row as described above).

    In the article to share your iTunes library on your home - network Support Apple its pretty simple from what I've read, just make sure you have sharing options enabled in iTunes on your computer.

    Just make sure that you are signed in the same Apple ID on all your devices and turn on sharing House on each of them as well and make sure that you are connected to the same network, trying to share the library.

    Hey Vincent.

    You can send some types of structure, but must be in place.  Because your structure contains arrays, you have a building yet more to do.  It should look like this:
