  11.1.1.3 version

  SSP Essbase server shows but for all groups roles has beed deleted.

  When I try to re - assign particular group roles, I realized that Essbase server does not show in the left pane.

  This means essbase struck with Shared Services? If so can you please let me know the steps to register again?

  I know to remove the instance Essbase Shared Services and new Externalize user will do, BUT can you please let me know y at - it problems doing?

  In the morning today only we are facing this problem.

  Problem has been resolved. Worked with Oracle and review Essbase.

  It is corrupt and possibly RDBMS openldap.

  Solution: Manually (via MaxL) has deleted all requests for services shared and deleted essbase server then outsourced to the users to register with Shared Services.

  I use the Hyperion 11.1.2.3 version and try to create the new application from planning through the workspace.  I am not able to see the 'Planning' group in the shared services project.

  You will need to create a new application group in Shared Services, it is simple to do - Create Application groups

  Once you have created the group, you should see it in the list of projects of Shared Services when you create a planning application.

• Registration of an application with Shared Services

  I just use HfmCopyApplication.exe to migrate an application to a production environment in a newly installed test environment. However, when I opened in the client system 9 HFM in the test environment and try to 'Open the Application', I can see the new app in the list (so I know that the migration is successful), but I get a message saying "+ this application is not registered with Hyperion Shared Services. Please contact your administrator. + »
  
  Anyone can get an idea? I do not know how to save an application that has been migrated to another environment, and I am reluctant to create a new application of the same name, because I don't want to accidentally wipe who moved just above. I looked in the documentation of the HfmCopyApplication, but it says I need to register the application migrated with Shared Services... He didn't tell me how.

  Open the workspace - navigate - administer - Application classic Administration - Administration of peacebuilding.
  In the browser view open tasks - Administration of Consolidation - Application registry, select Cluster and select your new application.
  Then go to the SS and the provision of the users.

• Issues in Shared Services, work space and financial reports

  I'm working on hyperion 9.3.1.
  I have two questions. Someone help me right now
  
  (1) in the shared services, I can not able to access my planning application. If I click on the application of planning his * "loading for a long time."
  
  Note: I've updated patches * 8527948 * to 9.3.1. Still, I am facing the error.
  
  (2) I created two applications registered with shared services and conventional planning. I do not see the planning application in the workspace.
  
  (3) I can't access financial information through the workspace. Please let me know the url for FR. (http://localhost:8200/hr/index.jsp - If I give this url its redirection to the workspace)
  
  My installation command:
  
  (1) shared services
  (2) Essbase
  (3) EAS
  (4) services UI report and analysis
  Analysis and report 5)

  On the issue of not to see planning applications, have you tried to reconfigure the part of the web server for the analysis of reports & in the configuration utility, you probably have to do if you have set up the planning after reporting & analysis

  What do you mean that you can not access the financial information? You must create a report by using the financial Studio of Reporting client, then save the report in the workspace.
  The report is then available via explore in the workspace.

• 9.3.1 planning vs. analytic servers for Shared Services

  I'm new to Hyperion and I did some reading, but I don't understand what the difference between having an analytical application saved in Shared Services as a Planning app vs under servers. If someone could point me to some documents it would be much appreciated.
  
  I currently have a regestered application as a planning application, but I want to put a few Essbase filters on the database. According to the documentation, I need to have it registered under analytic servers.

  Initially, the Hyperion planning is a specialized planning and budgeting tool. Applications created under planning are very well also be sufficient budgeting and forecasting needs of the Organization, so the roles defined under planning will be different from those of Essbase.

  As Essbase contains plannig data, a single planning application gets deployed as an application of essbase. But the initial application, implemented, metadata are all site through the Web Console of planning. Thus, we save planning app with shared services separately in respect of planning projects to differentiate the roles of planning of regular analytical server roles.

  Refer to Appendix A of the Hyperion Planning AdminGuide and doc above would be useful.

  About the filters, you need to create security filters in planning web console and push them to essbase.

• Shared services

  I installed and configured 11.1.2.4 recently on server r2 2012. The current environment of EMP 11.1.2.1 is installed under 2008 r2. They are currently using Essbase, financial reports and Shared Services. My question is, how do I migrate shared Services for the new facility. I read book after book and can't seem to understand.

  If someone has never successfully done it can get a walk through how?

  PS: As I have said in the past, I'm very green at oracle.

  It would be by EAS or a file system copy that you tried.

• "Assign access control" on essbase applications through shared services

  Hi Experts,

  I just install an Essbase 11.1.2.4 environment, where I could see that the ability to assign filters to users in environmental assessments is disabled (I guess maybe it's that this version does not support the autonomous concept).

  So I thought of attribution of the filters to users through shared services groups\Essbaseinstance1\sampleapp Application - access entitlement control, but when I click on "Assign access control", it says in the right pane that the page cannot be displayed.

  Any tips?  for your information, I use IE 11.

  I gather from your question that EAS runs like it enough to be upward, as you did that you have configured the web server again after that the configuration of the Regional service otherwise it will be a communication error.

  I created an Essbase application in EAS web console (URL is : http://application-tier server: port/easconsole). How can I register it at the service of the brightness. The paper said that it is should done automatically, but I can't find it in the shared service. Do you have any ideas about this? I use EMP 11.1.2.3 and the server operating system is 64-bit Win2008. Thank you.

  The problem is resolved after add "AuthenticationModule CSS" in the file EPM_instance\EssbaseServer\essbaseserver\bin\Essbase.cfg file.

• Unable to see the filters in the Shared Services for Application Essbase

  I use Hyperion version 11.1.2. I created a filter in Essbase for a single Application. I gave you access to the server for the Essbase server in Shared Services. When I click on access control assign on Essbase server and after selecting the user, it does not display the filter I created in Essbase. Pls advice

  Hi, you must also assign the user access to the application of Essbase, e.g. of filters. When you assign an access control, right-click on the application, not the essbase server.
  If you have several database, then you select the database that you created the filter.

• Planning application no no projection in Shared Services 11

  11.1.2.3 version

  Last week our planning database got corrupted, do not know how, but it happened.  I went through the steps to recreate and restore the data, however, there is a small problem.  The application is now not showing in Shared Services, therefore, that I can't access SmartView.  Here is what happened.

  1. because I'm a nervous nelly, I first renamed 'PLAN' "PLAN1" via EAS

  2. I then selected "Create Database" planning and had no problems, a new Essbase application and databases have been created.  The new application called 'PLAN' as expected

  3 al ' Shared services, now, what emerges are two applications "PLAN1" which is clearly a single essbase application and "PLAN1" which is a planning application.

  I can select plane1 as the planning application and can get security charge very well, however, in SmartView, users cannot connect.

  How the world make it only show 'PLAN' and get rid of the old "PLAN1" applications.

  Finally, I felt comfortable enough to register the application with Shared Services.  A few seconds, the problem was solved!

• How can I delete the previous configuration of Essbase Server Shared Services?

  I am trying to reinstall the Essbase Server (on a new server we have upgraded the Essbase server hardware) and reloads the data, but the current installation believes that I have already set up despite the withdrawal EssbaseCluster-1 of Shared Services Application groups.  Is there something else I need to do to get the new install Essbase server configured as a new instance of Essbase?

  If the server names have been changed, then it probably won't work, but I don't know what you mean that it did not work, you should check the registry of shared services, other possibilities are reset configuration tasks in the registry by using the epmsys_registry utility.

• Shared Services Assign Access Control for Essbase

  Hi we have an opportunity which has its commissioning as filters in the essbase group. I tried assigning its filter to thim thanks to assign a control access to shared services. I am able to see the user as well as the filter that I created for the user, but when I try to assign them to him and save is really not get assigned. He rest of stays the user doesnot have filters assigned to his account. Have I missed something.

• Essbase server performs none appear in Shared Services

  I have installed and configured an EMP 11.1.2.2 environment under Win 2008 Server to Oracle database 11g. I installed and configured server Essbase, EAS, Essbase Studio, APS and environmental impact assessment. But when I open the shared services the analytical server does not appear in the Group of applications and EAS, I get:
  
  Error: 104: username or password
  Error: 1051012: native://DN=cn=911 of the user, or = People, dc is css, dc = hyperion, dc = com? The USER does not exist
  
  
  I know that the second error is because the admin user is not provided on the Essbase server, but it does not appear there.
  
  Could someone help me on this?

  You could try to remove the essbase.sec name change and you try to start the essbase service again, if all goes well it should register again with Shared Services.
