ESX supports discos SATA?

Is members of the community, I need buy an equipo para instalar ESX y mi duda existencial is if the hipervisor is esta soportando discos SATA, is that I have understood qeu en versiones anteriores no lo soportaba. Biogen spend HCL pero no black find eso, o well without is buscarlo como. -.

Desde is muchas gracias por lo that can contribute.

Hola Nestor,

Los discos Sata estan soportados pero el problema lo are going to find in el soporte has the controladora. What are going to a correr sober el equipo?

Siempre shopping search servidores than esten dentro the VMWare HCL pero tiendo than in some cases caer in esos servidores requiere UN presupuesto that muchas empresas no tienen.

Cuando you wonder that going to a correr sober el equipo're para understand that trabajo carga SAV an apply al mismo ago that are entry level as fuera del HCL servidores options mimi sin problemas.

Best wishes / Saludos

  • IdeaPad Z570 - can he support a SATA III SSD?

I'm looking for by replacing the slow 5400 RPM HARD drive in my laptop Z570, and I was wondering if anyone knows if it can support a SATA III SSD?

    jhollender,

Z570 is only Sata II. So if you were to get a SSD SATA III, you only use it to speed SATA II and not to speed SATA III.

Please look around and see if there is no reviews with users using a Z570 with SSD because there have been compatibility issues concerning different SSDS due to the type of controller used.

    Thank you.

  • Support SSD SATA 3 on Tecra R850

Please, someone help me with SATA 3 Tecra R 850 press.

How to allow that, I have already updated the bios, but that did not help me! Found somewhere that toshiba intentionally does support SATA 3 Although the chipset to support that. ???

  • Tecra R850 - support SSD SATA 6.0 GB III

    Hello.

    I bought R850 with SSD.
The bad news is that SSD 256 GB installed is limited to SATA II with up to 300/Mo transfer. I read that Sandy Bridge supports SATA III, which covers 600/Mo.

Is someone installed successfully the best able with SATA3 SSD drive?

I tried Sisoft Sandra and it reported that the SSD SATA is II, the same for the motherboard. The HwINFO reported that this chipset is compatible with SATA 3. Everest shows that SSD SATA 2 data.

It's the bios locked for higher transfers? I got 180 MB/s read, 150 MB/write - what is 3 x worse than normal SATA 3 SSD 256 GB hard disks.

Can someone help me and tell - if it's the bios R850? or only the old SSD Toshiba firmware? If I buy the best SSD with SATA3 - it will fully support higher speed?

    Best regards

    Hello

I don't know Mr. what portable R850-xxx you but as far as I know, this series is equipped with one for the (Sandy Bridge) Intel i3/i5/i7 CPU.
The phone also supports either Intel Cougar Point QM67 (model TN) or HM65 (model no - AMT). The two supports SATA II (3 Gb/s) and SATA III (6 Gb/s)

But for example, if the host interface is 300 MB/s, you get experienced data reading: Max 250 MB/s and write data to sustain: Max 160 MB/s

I recently ordered this ssd sata m2 of amazon, but I'm not sure its compatible with my system - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TGIW1XG?psc=1 & redirect = true & ref_ = oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00.

Its a Samsung 850 500 GB M.2 3.5 inch SSD Form Factor 80nm.  Can I use in a configuration to double for my laptop with the current 5400 RPM 1 TB HARD drive already in the system?  Or do I have to use one or the other?  Or can I select a smaller SSD storage for a double configuration?  I have to talk to a technician and he said my system does not support a 128 GB ssd and it did not indicate if it is a double or a single disk configuration.  In my view, it is difficult to imaging a new desire to 2015 with an i7 Quad Core skylake 6700HQ processor supports only a meagre 128 GB SSD.  Any ideas on what my system can support?

I can verify that it works very well. I had HP technology insist that I could use only one hard disk and a maximum capacity of 128 GB. The technicians don't know squat. I use now a configuration double with the operating system and my programs on my 850 m2 sata evo III 500 GB SSD and my data (videos, music and photos) files on the preinstalled 5400 RPM 1 TB HARD drive.

  • Support for SATA 6Gbit/s Y470 III

    Dear Lenovo,

can someone confirm if Ideapad Y470 support SATA III drives on a 400 to 500 MB/s speed?

If I buy Y470 I want to replace the main with Intel 510 SSD HARD disk that supports SATA III interface.

Intel says that the HM65 chipset supports SATA III, but find no confirmation in laptop specs.

    Thank you!

According to the manual, it does not support 6 Gbit/s speed.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 - 4083cl: support SSD SATA III?

    Hello

I think about adding a 2nd. hard drive in my HP Pavilion dv7 - 4083cl.

The current drive of 500 GB at 7200 RPM will be the 2nd. drive and a new SSD will be 1. drive (System and boot).

I was looking for this information, but I couldn't find the answer. My doubts are:

    1. the dv7 - 4083 cl does support SATA III? If I install a SATA III disc, will it work to its full potential, or as a SATA II drive? In other words, can I buy a SSD SATA II drive cheaper because I wouldn't have the performance of a most recent hard drive SSD SATA III?

    2. a 256 GB SSD support this machine? Or is it just up to 160 GB?

    Thank you!

    Hello:

You know the chipset specifications to determine what version of your laptop SATA drive will manage transfer speeds to.

Your laptop computer has a chipset Mobile Intel series 5 (HM55) who can run that hard disks to the SATA II transfer speed.

Not until you get to new Intel 6 Series chipsets and can they run SATA III drives to SATA III speed.

Here is the link to the plug on the chipset of your notebook.  Note the SATA 3.0 GB/S specifications.

    http://www.Intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/mainstream-chipsets/mobile-chipset-HM55.html

Since your laptop comes standard with a 500 GB HARD drive, I imagine a 250 GB SSD should work fine.

However, the recovery disks may not work on a smaller hard drive.

  • My system will support a SATA III disc?

Hello, I got a desktop Pavilion HPE, delivered with a SATA 1 TB Seagate drive. I want to install another internal drive, a SATA III 3 tb, but do not know if the motherboard will support it. No other information HP Support Assistant says what types of drives are supported.

    Thank you!

    Hello

According to two different documents from HP, your PC has only SATA II ports.  However, a SATA III hard drive will still work.  In addition, the chipset Intel H61 in your PC doesn't support SATA II.

  • Dose w520 msata support 6Gbps SATA III?

Hi everyone, recently I'm ready to install an mSATA SSD on my w520, but I don't know if the mini PCI-E of this machine the SATA-III 6Gbps support, or it may only run a SATA III mSATA SSD SATA II mode. If anyone has tested this before? Thank you.

I don't have the reference at hand, but I'm sure I've read on several forums that the mSATA on the W520 supports sata 2 only, not 3.

  • W530 msata does support 6Gbps SATA III?

Hi everyone, I know W520 mSATA supports 3 Gbps connection. but by launching a new SSD mSATAIII I hope W530 with Ivy Bridge and QM77 chipset suports 6 Gbps connection.

Thanks for any idea or references abaut that?

mSATA does not PCI-Express use despite being in the mini-PCI-Express form factor.

When plugged into a port compatible mSATA causes the port to change his basic SATA signalling mode instead of PCI-Express; That's why mSATA cards work only in specific locations on laptops instead of in any mini-PCI-Express slots.

  • Access direto, por uma VM, a disco SATA NTFS numa Máquina com ESXi 4.0

Estamos avaliando o uso ESXi (we have but 56 slides).

  • Contradictory information between the Dell Support & manual - SATA ii Vs SATA iii

I scoured the search on the net with various keywords and found no solid documents on this subject.  So, I'm here to confirm if my laptop has capacity SATA 3.   According to the dell online repair (E6420 lattitude), this system comes with a Sata 2 SSD (which is what I have currently on my laptop).  I found a reference in my research where support DELL said clearly that this system is capable of SATA iii support.   See the links below for confirmation:

Dell thread support forum - final post shows Sata iii speeds are possible.

Moreover, I found people guess and SATA 3 SSD running on E6420.  The maintenance manual itself says nothing about the speed level (SATA 2 or 3).   Is it possible to confirm that people get SATA 3 speeds on this laptop?  I know that my new SATA 3 SSD is backward compatible with SATA 2.  My new Samsung EVO 850 SSD is capable of SATA 3, and I need to optimize it for higher speeds, if indeed I can confirm that this computer is able to reach SATA 3.

Currently, it is the speed that I see on my new SATA 3 SSD, without even running AHCI.

No help from this forum. So I wanted to publish my own answer, found through my upgrade and benchmarks.  Latitude E6420 is able to support SATA 3 speeds.  But you won't get the full benefit and the speed of SATA - iii if you run nothing less than Windows 7.

  • El Capitan supports PCIe SATA Flash SSD-based?

I am trying to install a PCIe-based SSD in a 5.1 2010-2013 Mac Pro with all the full drive bays. I discovered too late that the operating system cannot handle yet NVMe readers, so I would try another type. El Capitan can work with any flash-SSD SATA or SATA-III? Or any SSD PCIe-based?

did you ask the manufacturer of the device?
