  The problem is a lot of video cards latest require the computer to have a complete UEFI BIOS.  HP began using one in mid-October 2012.  Before that date, the BIOS is the legacy.  This is why the video card does not work with your computer.

  I don't know what you would spend on a card, but MSI is a GTX 750ti which is a VBIOS hybrid.  It has a switch to change to inheritance or UEFI.  Is there a video link directly below the image of a card.  Paul of Newegg gives a complete description of the map.

  I like the best EVGA cards.  Their Support gave me a lot of information on their cards.  However, you will need to return to a GT 640 map to find one of their cards that does not require the UEFI BIOS.  They have a few updates for their BIOS' are which solves the problem, but we must call them for accurate maps.

  I am running Server 2008 R2 on a virtual machine Workstation 8. I have two network cards on the physical basic machine (a regular cable and one wireless).

  However, I don't see the adapter wireless on my vm 2008. Literally, on the basic professional regular W7 OS, I see two adapters network from the Device Manager, but only the wired adapter from the Device Manager on the guest OS 2008.

  I have as full Server 2008 network settings.

  The two cards are activated in the base OS (in the case that has something to do with it).

  Thanks for the reply. Please try to run the HP Support Assistant for updating the BIOS. If HP Support Assistant does not have the update, then there may not be any newer BIOS for your laptop.

  I installed successfully VIO 2.5 on a vCenter lab w / NSX 6.2.3 and waited two weeks to complete the deployment, and now vCenter cannot connect to the management server in VIO. The vApp and VMs (Manager and model) are running, and I can't SSH in Manager and can PING vCenter to SSH, but I can't ping of vCenter.   I solve this problem I found that some of the clock of the ESXi host were not synchronized because they could not reach NTP. Once the clocks were synchronized, the problem disappeared. I attribute this to vCenter based SSO that everything in my laboratory is related to, but error messages and logs were not indicative of the root cause.

  My apologies if this question was asked before, but not could not find any information about this.

  For some reason when I use the command Get-model PowerCLI I get no results even though I have models on the data store. Using a command such as Get - VM works as expected, but for some reason that the command Get-model just can't find anything. There is something pressing that I may have missed in my virtual environment configuration?

  The environment consists of a data center with a 5.1 ESXi host and several virtual machines residing on it. I also have a virtual appliance of vCenter to manage the host.

  When you run Connect-VIServer, you connect to the server ESXi and vCenter?

  I just tested the two:

  • SE connect-VIServer-ESXi Server
    • Get-model didn't recover all data
  • SE connect-VIServer-Server vCenter
    • Get model retrieved data

  Maybe that's the case?
