  No seriously, I'm ready VMware 7 and I converted my laptop to a VMware image running Windows 7 32 bit.

  Everything works as expected, however my ethernet (Nic) controller display Code 28. The drivers for the device are not installed.

  I installed VMware Tools and operating system selected for the image is Windows 7 32 bit. I also tried to update the drivers, however drivers are not found.

  According to me it was equipped of the * Realtek(10/100M) 10/100MBit LAN chip *.

  Hi all first post and im desperate.

  I'm trying to sort my laptop Satellite a40 of neighbors.
  They had the CD of two recovery, but trying to do a full restore returned to the top! Error!

  After pressing 2 to continue. Thought discs must be scratched and had it.
  Then loaded win xp pro witch went without a hitch until I needed to go on the internet.
  Even then I thought that the ethernet controller is not difficult to find.

  What a mistake it was me? Driver was not on the two recovery CD and I tried both drivers intel on the download without result page.
  They both seem to be for Wireless Lan.
  I just need the ethernet (LAN) to work.

  It has always been used with wireless, but not go now. Got the main due virus reformat and reinstall XP Professional. Everything's fine, everything works, but found a yellow flag in device manager for the ethernet controller. Have tried all the drivers available, nothing helps. Help me here, please.

  The reader that there are listed is absolutely the same as those included in the recovery image. I really can't imagine that the LAN card will not be installed correctly.

  By the way: I assume you have Satellite and Satellite Pro not. Am I wrong?
