    Theoretically, the hard drive by using Recovery Manager F11 recovery should produce the same results as the set of recovery disks.  The set of recovery disks will probably replace all and then give the factory settings.  The result should be the same, however, I don't see no harm to do so.  What did you do to try to get out if "turn on, turn off"?

    On the thing to try before using the drive set - unplug the PC from the wall.  Press the power button, that would be turning on the PC if connected.  Hold button power in 30 seconds to a minute.  And then reconnect the power cord to back in and try to feed normally upward.

  • Eve stop applying the archivelogs

    Hello

    yesterday, in order to purgering flashback logs (it occupy much space FRA) in standby mode, I am a past "restore point" waiting for database and journal of a return of flame 'rm - r' (because not very sure, then rm only back log).

    That's what I did

    CC:
    To remove the eternal Flashback Logs, you must do the following:
    (1) file restore Points guaranteed that you don't need (e.g. drop restore point = > done in standby mode)
    (2) set the init DB_FLASHBACK_RETENTION_TARGET adequately = > done in standby mode
    (3) log as root and run the following statements:
    ls - lrt .../flashback|tail - 100 = > only "rm" a flashback, log (asm)
    prepare the delete statement for each file that you want to remove
    (rm - f)

    then this morning, I found last applied log is stuck yesterday afternoon. the stanby database does not apply archivelogs.

    Hello again;

    I'm not an abandonment of the judgment.

    You want to avoid that because Oracle can bark loud and you could make your problem worse.

    Check the last 100 lines of your alert standby of warnings and error log and display the results.

  • problems starting database recovery...

    HP - UX 11.23
    Oracle 10.2.0.2
    I know that this has been discussed a bit. I spent a number of hours on this forum only today just read through the success of the research. I tried some of the "tricks" that have been described in the nets. But I still get the same error...

    My standby database lost connectivity to my receivers logs primary and arrested. I have not received any notification, because my scripts not implemented to capture this event...
    On my primary retention policy is 30 days of archive logs. After that, they are deleted. (I don't agree with it, but not my call)
    The waiting got more than 30 days out of sync, so I decided to just refresh the day before all.

    Cold backup is not an option, I did an alter system checkpoint to empty all archive logs. Then, I published a full hot backup.
    Once completed, I advanced and created a control file fresh intelligence, in addition to a fresh backup control file. In this exact order.

    I have transferred all the archive logs and control files db more waiting.

    I ran the commands:
    startup nomount;
    (SUCCESSFULLY)
    ALTER database base_de_donnees eve of Mount;
    (SUCCESSFULLY)
    recover the database pending;
    I have run all the files in the archives until newspapers she file errored saying that he could not find 'X' being the next sequence that was not in the directory. To my knowledge, is normal... time to stop recovery.

    When I went to cancel, I get the following error.
    Specify the log: {< RET > = suggested |} Filename | AUTO | CANCEL}
    ORA-00279: change 7313561157126 September at 2008-12-17 19:01:02 to

    ORA-01152: 1 no file has been restored from a sufficiently old backup
    ORA-01110: data file 1: ' / ora1/oradata/peregrine/system01.dbf'

    Therefore, my understanding of what it means that you should always apply the logs.
    So I grabbed the newspapers who had been self created during the time I have it all rebuilding and applied.
    Same mistakes.

    I am at a loss here. How can he still be out of sync? Is it possible to force it to a specific sequence so that I can open successfully, and then close it up to complete the sequence?

    Thank you.

    You have a few missing logs to make your atndby consistent database, apply more redo (which may be a primary database redo log files).

    as you approach ORA-01152: 1 file was not restored from a sufficiently old backup is due to that you just applied it again archivelog files but don't do it again that is in the file primary journal again. That's what I was suggesting you im my last post which put your database in automatic or manual recovery mode after you have performed a primary database switch journal in order to obtain recovery located at the primary database redo log file.

    Hi all

    Why, in flashback, database, retrieve a tablespace has dropped the datafile (s) consisting of within table get renamed to UNNAMEDnnn? Why, in flashback, database, the data file associated with the storage space gets renamed to unnamed?

    Thanks for the link and new info.

    The reason is the same as in these quotes from doc that I have provided. As ORA-01111 indicates the name of the actual file is unknown so Oracle creates a unique name, then stops recovery so that you can provide the name and location.

    Why, during the flashback database, retrieve a tablespace has fallen...

    This formulation and the wording of the article, is probably what is mislead you. You cannot recover a tablespace using FLASHBACK DATABASE:

    Here is the doc for FLASHBACK DATABASE

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B28359_01/backup.111/b28273/rcmsynta023.htm

    Notes A Flashback Database use operation applies to the entire base. You cannot flash back, individual storage spaces. A Flashback Database operation is similar to a point-in-time data recovery (DBPITR) with RECOVER , but RMAN uses flashback logs to undo changes to a point before the time runs out or SNA

    See that second sentence? You NEED to recover the entire database and, as this quote from doc says, made it like CAMILLE by RECOVER.

    In this example, the storage space AND data files were dropped. So please check the doc to DROP TABLESPACE

    https://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B28359_01/server.111/b28286/statements_9004.htm

    Oracle database deletes all metadata about the space of storage data files and all the data dictionary tempfiles in the tablespace. The database also automatically removes the operating system all data files managed by Oracle and tempfiles in the tablespace. Other data files and tempfiles are not removed from the operating system unless you specify INCLUDING CONTENTS AND DATAFILES .

    See? No additional data in the dictionary for the tablespace or data files. Real datafiles is more if they were managed by Oracle. But there MAY be data files of the operating system if you do NOT use this last clause.

    If Oracle recreates the files using unique names and then allows you to CONFIRM that the name and location should really be.

    You have a problem with that? Or just try to understand?

    Hello;

    Yes, you need to move a copy of the file password to all nodes. All nodes must use the same password file.

    Then stop recovery and stop so everything starts using your moved password file.

    Then restart the recovery.

    Hello

    Even if you add standby or online redo log files or even if you resize down and re-create redo log files, they will not be created on the standby database. It is instance specific.

    Let all the restore, the MRP will cancel out.
    And then let fall, add standby redo log files, I think that you need to the MANUAL upgrade standby_file_management before adding new files of newspapers waiting for redo. And do not forget to undo file management the AUTO value again after the execution of the changes.

    And you train to make the journal command pending, it applies only on the primaries because the log command can only be performed on the database that uses online redo log files. Even if you open databases Eve with recovery that no recovery will be generated as a result no switch journal is allowed too.

    Hi Mohd,

    I always use Swingbench.
    Swingbench is a test of generator (benchmarks) designed to highlight the load free Oracle (9i, 10 g, 11 g) data.
    SwingBench consists of a load generator, a coordinator and an overview of the cluster. The software allows a charge to be generated and transactions/response times to be traced.
    Swingbench can be used to demonstrate and test technologies such as Real Application Clusters, rebuilt table online, Eve, backup recovery etc. and online databases.

  • SQL logging for Transport to another network

    Problem: We have an oracle database which receives all transactions from an application of BMC repair on the same network. We need to capture/transaction log, place them in the order in a flat file of some sort, transfer them to another network, and then apply them to the db replica in sequential order.

    I went through the docs of LogMiner and other things, but I don't really see a solution. Data Guard will not help, because we can not maintain a connection to transport of newspapers of the previous day.

    Our environment is Oracle 11 g R1.

    Any suggestions would be much apprecieted.

    Thank you
    Justin B.

    Taking a backup and sneakernetting that the destination network must only be done once during initial Setup. After that, you can just Sandalenet the archived log files, put Eve into recovery mode and what is it worth of newspapers. Any solution will be a first step, which is to restore some sort of backup as the starting point.

    DCC requires a Subscriber, but should not be a different database. This is why I suggested it would be a separate program that you have written that agrees with the changes and wrote a flat file (XML or otherwise). You will then need an additional program on the destination network that could read your custom XML file and generate DML appropriate after you Sandalenet the XML file. Sneakernetting an XML file is likely to be more difficult than logs archived simply sneakernetting because XML will be much larger files. Therefore, you must also write a maintain the programs that read and write the XML. I'm hard-pressed to see how this would be the 'best' way for any reasonable definition of "best".

    Hello

    Nice day!

    O/S: HP - UX 11.31
    DB: 10.2.0.5

    primary database: 2xnode RAC/ASM

    due to not having enough file system free space on the database pending node the name extension (primary database insider) Undo tablespace data file failed on the eve of the database and stop MRP.

    primary 2xnode RAC/ASM works well, as there is sufficient free space available in ASM - DG, but on the eve of the database MRP could not operate as cancel datafile could not be postponed because of not enough free space on the file system.

    No idea how fix the problem and restart the MRP process.

    Thank you...

    Kind regards

    Hello

    You must add the disk to the /oracle file system. It seems that there is not enough space to extend the data file.
    After the addition of disc, you can restart the recovery with:
    ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY BASE DISCONNECT FROM THE SESSION.

    or

    You can move your data undotbs2_01.dbf file to another file system that has enough space, that
    ALTER system set standby_file_management = manual scope = mΘmoire;
    change the database file rename ' / oracle/folder/undotbs2_01.dbf' to ' / new_fs/undotbs2_01.dbf ';
    ALTER system set standby_file_management = auto scope is mΘmoire;.

    then start the recovery.

  • Recovery MAnager does not - stops at Midway

    Hello

    I'm trying to restore my HP Pavaillion to the factory setting. I insert the disc of recovery manager supplied with the computer. However, he never goes from 44 percent complete. On the contrary a read error '1005 error if the problem persists, contact HP support' is displayed. (See attatched photo). How can I fix it?

    Additional information:

    The reason why I'm trying to restore my PC to factory settings, it is that is no longer able to boot. For some time I could start through the Windows 7 disc, but now I can't do same.

    Additional information:

    If it is possible to fix my computer without restoring to factory settings, that would be great I have a certain number of files it contains. The computer stopped booting all around the period I, 1) update Norton 360 and 2) installed Tablet Intuos Wacom. Notron 360 caused earlier problems with my PC (Blue Screen of Death by updating Norton 360) but I don't know if it's the cause again now. This could be the Tablet, as I played around with the settings (specifically, I changed these services automatically start Manual [Service of stylus, Tablet PC Input Service, Wacom Touch Customer Service] and I also have desselected features Windows Tablet). I did this because the Tablet has been rarely connected to the computer, but the processes that have been continuously running despite the fact that the tablet was not connected, (when we look in the Manager tasks) used a lot of memory. If you think that one of the two above (Norton or Wacom) causes, let me know and I will send you more information.

    If not for now, I guess I would say goodbye to all my files and default factory settings - IF HE WOULD ACTUALLY restore instead of give 1005 error messages.

    Thanks for any help

    Hello Uncanny101, the recovery restore partition may have been deleted. If it did, you wouldn't be able to use the F-10 or F - 11 key to access.

    You should be able to perform a new install with a Windows 7 disk, if there is no hardware failure.

    Just insert the Windows 7 in the optical drive and start the system. When you get to the place where you are asked where to install the operating system, look at the bottom of the page and you should see the partition. You should see two partitions, one of 100MBs more. Let the small partition of 100 such MB, because it contains the Windows 7 installation files. Select this option to remove the larger partition, and then create a new partition, quick format the new partition to continue.

    This should allow you to install a fresh Windows 7. You lost all the data you have added since you have the system, but because the installation failed, these data are probably already lost.
