Eve stop applying the archivelogs

Hello

yesterday, in order to purgering flashback logs (it occupy much space FRA) in standby mode, I am a past "restore point" waiting for database and journal of a return of flame 'rm - r' (because not very sure, then rm only back log).

That's what I did

CC:
To remove the eternal Flashback Logs, you must do the following:
(1) file restore Points guaranteed that you don't need (e.g. drop restore point = > done in standby mode)
(2) set the init DB_FLASHBACK_RETENTION_TARGET adequately = > done in standby mode
(3) log as root and run the following statements:
ls - lrt .../flashback|tail - 100 = > only "rm" a flashback, log (asm)
prepare the delete statement for each file that you want to remove
(rm - f)

then this morning, I found last applied log is stuck yesterday afternoon. the stanby database does not apply archivelogs.
SYS > change recover managed standby database disconnect log file using current;
change recover managed standby database using current log file is disconnected
*
ERROR on line 1:
ORA-01153: an incompatible media recovery is active

Any idea to solve this problem?

Thank you

Hello again;

I'm not an abandonment of the judgment.

You want to avoid that because Oracle can bark loud and you could make your problem worse.

Check the last 100 lines of your alert standby of warnings and error log and display the results.

Best regards

  • iPod has stopped playing the music-now will not turn on / reset

So I got this ipod as a month or two. The last of its kind in the store, except if I supposedly online. It's a 160 GB classic and it works fine so far. At all my 1500 songs on it so far and he was playing them very well yesterday. Put it on the charger, yesterday evening, and all of a sudden after I took it it stopped working. Tried to play a song about him and he just wouldn't it kept making a sound as he wanted to start up, but it didn't. Tried to change the song, in which case it was that, and he didn't play anything. Tried to reset it and by plugging it back into the computer and now it loads the apple logo, but he ends up to a screen with an o and an x in the Middle saying to go to apply the support... I don't know what to do I want just my ipod to work again :/ It won't even load on the charger more

See iPod displays an icon 'X' Red - Apple Support. Apple may not have much interest in the classic iPod service. The line was removed some time ago. See also Re: corrupted iPod classic. You can try to get the stats, but my guess is that it will fail open player.

  • HP 7525 causes my internet connection to stop when the 7525 is on

    I use:

    PC _ HP Pavilion P7-1451

    64-bit Edition of Windows 8

    Cisco WRT400N router

    Printer HP 7525

I just bought the 7525 yesterday. No problem installing it through my router. When the printer is powered but not in use, my PC (3 ones separated in different rooms) lose the internet connection after a few laps short irregular time. I have to unplug the router and the modem and then reconnect them to re-establish the internet connection. The recommendation of this group, I have reset the printer to a x.x.x.250 IP static. The printer connects very well and I can print from the PC.but meant few PC again lose the internet connection. I then set the modem and the router. When I turn ther printer off, the PC stay connected to the internet.

I had zero connect problems with this router since I bought it a few years ago. The problem only occurs when the printer is on.

Obviously, it's a royal pain in the anus. Help!

We will set a static IP address AND an external DNS for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

  • v13.0.3.495 - cannot change the tab stops in the paragraph Designer

Don't know whether or not it was a problem in recent versions (haven't adjusted the tab stops in a while).

I have a paragraph format with:

    -First = 0.25 "

    GCH - 0.5 "

    -Tab stop = 0.375 "L

I tried to change the tab stop on a 0.5 "W, went into the designer of paragraph, under the direction of tab stops, changed the value, you click on continue.

Paragraph designer reappeared, stop tab value appeared as 0.5 "L for a while, and then returned to 0.375".

No idea why this is happening or how to fix?

    Thank you.

I had almost the same problem (also FM 13.03.495) a few weeks ago. I tried to change a tab stop from left to right, aligned. If I remember correctly, I clicked on apply in the paragraph Designer, and then the tab stop setting is returned to its original state.

I have not noticed that in a single file. Since I couldn't reproduce this with other files, I ignored this problem. I think I've changed this tab stop in another file and copy the paragraph format in the problematic file.

  • Apply the fix of the ASM

    Hi all

Recently, we have applied the patch on one of our instance ASM, we've reached ORA-04031 on ASM instance. Oracle, we propose to apply the patch and one of my colleague came with these steps and

We have applied the fix successfully. I have a few questions about these steps. I would be grateful, if you could offer your expert advise on my questions.

In step 1, we use SRVCTL to stop all the instacnes running on a single box. We have about 46 instance that is running on this node

My question is, setp 1, mean-o and s flag done.

In step 2, this makes sudo for < GRID_HOME > is to use the rootcrs.pl - unlock.

On step 4, we have applied the patch to GRID_HOME, but must understand usage - oh flag

New on stp 5, why we need to perform step number 5

It starts at step 6, all instances by using srvct, but just curious, by the way, why we need to provide the file ampxt1d1_status with flag - n.

    1. this task is to apply the patch of the ASM

    2. stop all the instance running on ampxd1d1.

    srvctl stop immediate home o < ORACLE_HOME > s/u01/patches/tmp/ampxt1d1_status n < nide > t

    3. run the script in root of pre.

    sudo /u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/crs/install/rootcrs.pl-deverrouiller

    4. apply the patch using opatch

    (2) rootcrs.pl with - unlock flag unlocks the CRS home and make it ready to patch.

    (3) the - oh indicator command opatch specifies oracle home to work on. This takes precedence over the ORACLE_HOME environment variable

    (4) - patch flag of the rootcrs.pl command specifies the oracle home is upgraded and lock it.

    (5) control of House o srvctl start will start the oracle home and all service runs from this House.

  • How to apply the PSU on Oracle RAC?

    Hello guys,.

How about the Oracle RAC database without any stop PSU? (patch only database, not clusterware).

Lets say I have 2 CCR node on different hosts with separate houses oracle/grid (no shared resources). What are the steps to avoid blackouts? I simply apply the last OPatch on grid/oracle homes, and then generate the oracle user ocm.rsp file and simply run as root: opatch auto/patch/path /-oh oracle_home - ocmrf /path/ocm.rsp and he will do everything for me on this node? then move service on node patched and do the same on another node? Oh, and there will be no interruption of service? Thank you!

    Gytis

    Hello

Yes, the concept of a rolling patch is that the DB will always be upward, albeit on a node or another (or maybe 2 of 3, etc.)

Check out this doc, spec 14.2.4 reduce planned downtime Maintenance

Essentially an instance will come down in time. You can either manually a node patch or another, or well let Oracle patch bearing (but make sure you test it in the configuration of test first, if you have one, or else we put up with the same group of patches just in case).

The idea is that the VIP relocate Node2, or if you use SCAN apps will detect node1 down.

If possible, it is good to do this with a team Apps - ask them to move the connection with Betclic / application servers to the next node in the cluster, then the first patch (rolling patch), then exchange all node1 and make the node 2.

The same steps apply for clusterware.

    See you soon,.

  • Purge the Archivelogs Dataguard

    Hi all

    11.2.0.3

How can I set up my database PRIMARY and STANDBY auto purge all archivelogs (both primary and standby) already applied in waiting?

While I don't have to worry about full archivelog in my FRA.

    Thank you all,

    pK

    Hello

You should not care about people not confident in this respect.

See the blog post I linked above. There is a bug in 11.2 and there is a solution. And there is a request to check when the archivelogs recoverable or not.

I put in place that to several customers, where there is no 'archivelog delete' at all and Oracle manages the FRA. Just be sure that one of the following is executed frequently

either RMAN > sql "begin dbms_backup_restore.refreshagedfiles; end; « ; or rerun the CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG

In any case, it is good to monitor the use of FRA of space, then you should be alerted if they are not purged as you want.

    Kind regards

    Franck.

  • After you apply the custom in admin_server weblogic keystore, server is not starting

    Hi all, (thanks in advance)

I have a big problem today. I applied the SSL configuration for weblogic and OBIEE. It worked very well with the Keystore demo. After selfsigned keystore is created and applied to weblogic admin_server, the server will stop and now it does not start. Here is the log, I checked the name of user and password several times. also I removed the boot.properties file and it is generated again when starting.

I used the following commands to generate custome keystore.

    $JAVA_HOME/jre/bin/keytool - genkey - keyalg RSA-alias selfsigned - keystore identity.jks.

    -dname "CN ="hostname", OR = my Department, O = my company, L = Birmingham, ST = West Midlands, C = en".

    -storepass password1-validity 3600 - keysize 2048 - keypass password1

    $JAVA_HOME/jre/bin/keytool - selfcert - v-alias selfsigned - keypass password1 - keystore identity.jks.

    -storepass password1 - jks-validity 3600 stores

    $JAVA_HOME/jre/bin/keytool - export - v-alias selfsigned-file ""hostname"- rootCA.der ' identity.jks - keystore------»»

    -storepass password1

    # Trust? Yes

    $JAVA_HOME/jre/bin/keytool - import - v - trustcacerts-alias selfsigned-file ""hostname"- rootCA.der".

    -keystore trust.jks - storepass password1

Can you check if SSL is listening on the port is enabled.

Now that you cannot start the server administrator, check the file config.xml.

  • What happens if RMAN has stopped in the Middle?

How can manage us if RMAN being stopped in the Middle?

    Restart RMAN backups

With the reusable backup feature, RMAN backs up only files that were not saved after a specified date.

    bootable backup

The feature that allows to RMAN back up only the files that have not been backed up since a specified date. Restart unit ended last backup set or copy of the image. You can use this feature after a backup fails to save the parts of the database behind the backup failed.

    On redemarrables backups

The minimum unit of restart is a data file. However, if a backup set contains a backup piece, and this piece contains blocks of several data files, then restart unit is the backup piece. The reboot to get copies of the image unit is a data file.

The advantage of redemarrables backup is that if the backup generates multiple backup sets, then backup completed successfully sets do not be rerun. However, if the entire database is written in a backup set, and if the backup fails to halfway through, then the whole of the backup should be repeated.

IO errors that RMAN meets when reading files or writing for the backup pieces or copies of the RMAN image put an end to the current backup task. For example, if RMAN tries to save a file of data, but the data file is not on the disk, then RMAN complete backup. If several channels are used or redundant backup copies are created, then RMAN can however be able to continue the backup without user intervention.

RMAN can back up only the files that have not been backed up since a specified date. Use this function after a backup fails to save the parts of the database behind the backup failed.

You can reboot a backup by specifying the SINCE TIME clause on the BACKUP command. If the SINCE TIME is later than the time of execution, then RMAN backs up the file. If you use BACKUP DATABASE NOT BACKED UP without the SINCE TIME parameter, then RMAN backs up only files that have never been backed up.

Restart a backup after having partially completed

Use of the SINCE TIME parameter of the BACKUP command to specify a date after which a new backup is necessary. If the SINCE TIME is later than the time of execution, then RMAN backs up the file. If you use BACKUP DATABASE NOT BACKED UP without the SINCE TIME parameter, then RMAN backs up only files that have never been backed up.

To back up only files which have been saved after a specified date:

    1. Start RMAN and connect to a catalog of database and recovery target (if used).
    2. Run the BACKUP ... NOT BACKED UP SINCE TIME command.

Specify a valid date in the SINCE TIME parameter. The following example uses the default channel configured to back up all database files and logs archived recovery that have not been backed up during the last two weeks:

      BACKUP NOT BACKED UP SINCE TIME 'SYSDATE-14' DATABASE PLUS ARCHIVELOG;
