Even or odd number or workstations

Hi, I have a form put in place where people can enter the information in my database. the thing I want to do is I want to summarize all positions and whether that post the results to an amount of odd or of posts.
for example:
Jim entered - this weather is beautiful 1/odd - jim post will be odd
Tom entered - I can't stand the Sun its too hot outside. 2/even - tom post will be same
Entered Jessica-[NULL] I like cloudy days the best. 3/odd - jessica post will be odd

If anyone knows how I can do this, can you please help me? Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Use the MOD function:

    SQL> select mod(13,2) from dual;

     MOD(13,2)
    ----------
             1

    SQL> select mod(14,2) from dual;

     MOD(14,2)

             0

    If MOD(num,2) is even when a zero is returned.

  • determine if a number is even or odd in php

    Hello

    work on a site that uses php and mysql. on one page, I pull data from a database and put it in a table. data on scientific articles, and so I have the following fields: id (unique to each row), title, author, content type (contains the url to the PDF) and size. When I run it, the background of the whole picture is white. I want it so that each row of the table alternates between having a light gray and a white background. I thought looking in my loop to see if the $i variable is even or odd. using an if statement so $i is even, the background is gray, if $i is odd, the background is white. How can I do this and I'm on the right track or is at - it an easier way to do this? Here's the code. IM new to php and mysql. Thank you!!

  • How to print double-sided in In Design when certain sections have an odd number of pages?

    I'm new to In Design and I'm doing something that seems pretty basic and the difficulty in finding ways to do it and I have not found anything in the Adobe Forum or online that responds to this situation.

    I'm working on a document that is divided into sections, with page numbering starts at Page 1 for each section.  I have mirror image layouts for odd pages and even masters - for example, the page number is on the left on even pages and to the right of the odd pages, as you would expect generally to see on a double-sided print, where in a workbook or a workbook, the even-numbered pages are on the left and odd pages are on the right.

    I print the document from my computer to a printer that supports double-sided printing.  I don't see any option in the file / print window to two face impression, so I put this option on the printer itself by using the [Setup...] button at the bottom of the window.  It works - I'm printing on both sides of sheets of paper.

    For the moment, the first section is 3 pages (two blocks spread with the first page, one with the other two).  The next starts of section by number 1 on the third page spread (one page) and continues then a two-page spread - as expected.

    That is the problem - the first page of the second section is printing on the back of the last sheet of the first section, rather than on a new sheet from the front - so when I put it in a binder, the odd pages are on the same pages on the right and the left.  Whenever I have reached the end of another section with an odd number of pages, she rotates on itself again.

    There is a workaround solution manual I found - browse the document and add a blank page at the end of each section that has an odd number of pages (and check "print blank Pages).  But I have to do every time I feel that I am adding new pages and add/remove blank pages the number at each change of sections.

    I can't believe that In Design does not provide a way to make this work correctly, I'm sure a lot of people have had this same situation, and I hope it is something simple that just, I have not been able to understand...

    Help! (Thanks!  B ^)

    Frankly, it's a feature of the years, I tried, and I expect a professional page layout application to have. Something on the order of "duplex respect page layout." It would be very useful when printing only part of a document that happens to start with a page of pairs.

    I do catalogs in the sections, and each section begins with a left page. When duplex printing a section given, I must print this page first separately and duplex then the rest. Kind of pain and should not be necessary.

  • PostScript coding to add a cache back pg files with an odd number of pgs

    Hi all

    I need the code for a page empty final docs ps with an odd number of pages, if that is even possible.  I am adding these files to a large file that is printed double-sided.  If it doesn't have spaces inserted for doctors with an odd number of pages, then when it is added, the first page of the next doc is printing on the back of the last page.  Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    You can search "%% Pages: 1" and replace it with 'showpage' followed by an end of line, then "% Pages: 2" to maintain the integrity of domain controllers of the convert PostScript file.»

    If you could look for and analyze the number of page, then it would be better, otherwise, you will have a multitude of search each page strings odd possible numbering in your set of original files.

    Note that this solution is based on the first comment of pages referring the actual number at the end of the document ' %% page: (at the end) "as in the example you provided.

  • Odd number of nodes in the Cluster controller NSX

    Why odd number of knots are required in the controller NSX Cluster?

    The election of the master for each role requires a vote by a majority of all active and inactive nodes in the cluster. This is the main reason why a Cluster controller must always be deployed based on an odd number of nodes.

    See Page 10-11 of this guide for more information: https://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/products/nsx/vmw-nsx-network-virtualization-design-guide.pdf

  • Why drives with voting rights are always an odd number

    I have a query that why voting disk are always recommended in odd numbers.

    The voting disk must reside on a shared disk that is accessible by all nodes in the cluster. For high availability, Oracle recommends that you have several disks with voting rights. Oracle Clusterware can be configured to manage records with multiple voting rights (multiplexing), but you must have an odd number of voting records, such as three, five and so on. Oracle Clusterware supports a maximum of 32 disks with voting rights. If you set a single voting disk, then you must use external mirror to provide redundancy.

    A node must be able to access more than half the disks with right to vote at any time. For example, if you have five voting disks configured, then a node must be able to access at least three drives with right to vote at any time. If a node cannot access the required minimum number of discs with right to vote, it is expelled or removed from the cluster.

    Here I have a table:
    Total number of vdisk (n) Minimum vdisk required by nodes (> n/2) no vdisk can be failed at the same time
    1               1                         0
    2               1                         1
    3               2                         1
    4               2                         2
    5               3                         2
    6               3                         3
    7               4                         3
    Here, it is clear that it does not matter as the vdisk 4 or 5, the number of vdisk can be failed at the same time would be 2. So, not sure why an odd number of voting records are recommended.

    Please suggest.

    Kind regards
    Dheeraj van Voorde

    (1) why don't we not create an odd number of voting record?
    With regard to the vote of the disks are concerned, a node must be able to access exclusively more than half of the discs with the right to vote at any time. So if you want to be able to tolerate a failure of n disks to vote, you must have at least 2n + 1 configured. (n = 1 means 3 discs with voting rights). You can configure up to 32 drives with right to vote, providing protection against the 15 simultaneous disk failures.
    Oracle recommends that customers use drives 3 or more with right to vote in Oracle RAC 10g Release 2. Note: For best availability, 3 files of voting should be separate physical disks. It is recommended to use an odd number as 4 drives will be more highly available than 3 disks, 3 1/2 is 1.5... rounded up to 2, 4 1/2 is 2, once we lose 2 discs, our cluster fails with 4 disks with voting rights or 3 discs with right to vote.

    (2) only the cluster checks actually for the counting of the votes before node eviction? If so, could you expain this process briefly?
    Yes. If you lose half or more than all your discs with right to vote, then nodes get evicted from the cluster, or nodes to expel from the cluster.

    (3) what is the logic behind the documentaion note which says "each node must be able to see more than half the disks with right to vote at any time"?
    The answer to the first question is will also answer this question.

  • Print double-sided of odd number of pages

    I have Adobe Reader 10.0.2 instalied on my iMac Mac OS with a Canon Pixma iP4200 printer 10.6.7. Since the installation of this version of the player I came across a curious problem with PDF files print double face with an odd number of pages.

    For example, a three page PDF printed double-sided file. The first page prints first, then pages 2 and 3 are printed double-sided. This leaves a blank page on the back of page 1 that is INCORRECT and was intrigued. Standard double-sided printing should have pages 1 and 2 back-to-back and page 3 with a blank page on the back.

    All my other software on my iMac prints only odd numbered file double face properly. It's only the 10.0.2 player who has this problem and would like a solution.

    I found a bug in the player software?

  • HP Deskjet 1510: Duplex printing problem - an odd number of pages only

    If I print something with 8 or 12 pages or whatever (numbers) everything works perfectly.

    For odd numbers of 9 or 15, or whether, it becomes a bit like a random number generator. Page 1 is ok, but the rear where need to go 2 can be empty, could be page 4. The last page prints on the last page which must be empty.

    If I have a 9 page document that I can choose pages 1-8 and then separately just print 9 and it works well.

    Hey @terry6,

    I see you have some problems with the printing of your Windows Vista computer to your Deskjet 1510. Now, a printer only prints what the computer told him to print, but I can help you find the problem on your PC.

    Here's what we will do:

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. Close all programs on your PC.
    3. Open your control panel, and then printers and faxes.
    4. Right click on the image to the printer.
    5. Click on remove the instrument.
    6. Repeat if you have copies of your Deskjet 1510 listed.
    7. Turn on the printer.
    8. If the printer does not appear in this window after you turn on the printer and wait a few minutes and then click Add a printer up.
    9. Follow the prompts to add the printer to the back.
    10. Try to print again.

    This should fix your problem with printing pages in the right order. If it does not then try the following:

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the printer.
    2. Uninstall and reinstall the software, you are printing from.
    3. Try another program.

  • Identification of even and odd Page

    If possible, I need help please,

    Here is a script so resolute, simplified to show the basics I adjust to operate at a complete script.

    This script is totally insufficient, but I have no idea how do work, if the page is odd then alert 'Odd Page', and so even then alert 'Same Page'.

    pgNum = app.activeDocument.sections [0] .pageNumberStart

    If (pgNum == 1) {alert ('odd Page')};

    ElseIf (pgNum == 2) {alert ('same Page')};

    Must be running on unique Pages (and not facing Pages) so cannot use the 'PageSideOptions.RIGHT_HAND' or 'PageSideOptions.LEFT_HAND '.

    Thanks a lot for any help, Brendan

    Hi Brendan,

    According to the doc, the Section.pageNumberStart property is "valid only when continue the numbering is false," then you must rely on Section.pageStart instead.

    Now, given a Page, you have two useful properties,

    • Page.Name is a string that is the name of the page, which means usually only the page number (but it depends on the Section.pageNumberStyle.)
    • Page.documentOffset is the sequence of the page in the document index (while Page.index is the index within the spread, not relevant here.)

    Assuming that Page.name is correct for your project, simply interpreted as a number, then, to check if pgNum % 2 is 0 or 1.

    var pg = app.activeDocument.sections[0].pageStart,
        pgNum = parseInt(pg.name,10),
        side;

    if( isNaN(pgNum) )
    {
        alert( "Page name can't be parsed as an integer." )
    }
    else
    {
        side = (pgNum%2) ? "Odd " : "Even ";
        alert( side + " Page" );
    }

  • Help! Change to purge/margins of the even and odd pages in the same file?

    I'm outlining a children's book and the printer requires domestic files to be submitted in the unique layout (borderless). The binding margin side and bleed is different from upper, lower and the outer edges - essentially the pages reflect each other. How can I set up the document so even pages have a configuration option and odd pages have the mirror settings (without lining up as faced with pages in spreads)?

    When you make the book use facing Pages in the Document format. This will give you the Master Pages to a mirroring, called "facing pages".

    When you make the PDF using file > export and choose PDF but do not check the option 'Spreads '.

  • Selection of the same Page even or odd

    Is there a typical way to set all odd in a document pages, as it is well that all the same.

    I have scripts (with the help of these forums) that the page turns on the current page

    example:

    var crtpage = this.pageNum
    var crtpagerotate = this.getPageRotation({nPage:crtpage});)
    try {}
    this.setPageRotations ({nStart:crtpage, nEnd:crtpage, nRotate:(90+crtpagerotate)%360});})
    }
    catch (e)
    {
    App.Alert ("processing error:" + e)
    }

    But I would like to be able to rotate all of the 90 odd pages and all pages 270

    Any help is appreciated

    the variable 'i' will be your number of page, so this should be what you want (not tested)

    for (i = 0; i< this.numpages;="">
    {

    if(i % 2) {}

    var crtpagerotate = this.getPageRotation({nPage:i});)
    this.setPageRotations ({start: i, nEnd: i, nRotate:(270+crtpagerotate)%360});})
    }
    else {}
    var crtpagerotate = this.getPageRotation({nPage:i});)
    this.setPageRotations ({start: i, nEnd: i, nRotate:(90+crtpagerotate)%360});})
