HP Deskjet 1510: Duplex printing problem - an odd number of pages only

If I print something with 8 or 12 pages or whatever (numbers) everything works perfectly.

For odd numbers of 9 or 15, or whether, it becomes a bit like a random number generator. Page 1 is ok, but the rear where need to go 2 can be empty, could be page 4. The last page prints on the last page which must be empty.

If I have a 9 page document that I can choose pages 1-8 and then separately just print 9 and it works well.

Hey @terry6,

I see you have some problems with the printing of your Windows Vista computer to your Deskjet 1510. Now, a printer only prints what the computer told him to print, but I can help you find the problem on your PC.

Here's what we will do:

  1. Turn the printer off.
  2. Close all programs on your PC.
  3. Open your control panel, and then printers and faxes.
  4. Right click on the image to the printer.
  5. Click on remove the instrument.
  6. Repeat if you have copies of your Deskjet 1510 listed.
  7. Turn on the printer.
  8. If the printer does not appear in this window after you turn on the printer and wait a few minutes and then click Add a printer up.
  9. Follow the prompts to add the printer to the back.
  10. Try to print again.

This should fix your problem with printing pages in the right order. If it does not then try the following:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall the printer.
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the software, you are printing from.
  3. Try another program.

If he let so please other users know by clicking on accept as Solution below my post. Even if you have any other questions please let me know.

I hope this helps and I hope you have a great weekend!

  • How to print double-sided in In Design when certain sections have an odd number of pages?

I'm new to In Design and I'm doing something that seems pretty basic and the difficulty in finding ways to do it and I have not found anything in the Adobe Forum or online that responds to this situation.

I'm working on a document that is divided into sections, with page numbering starts at Page 1 for each section.  I have mirror image layouts for odd pages and even masters - for example, the page number is on the left on even pages and to the right of the odd pages, as you would expect generally to see on a double-sided print, where in a workbook or a workbook, the even-numbered pages are on the left and odd pages are on the right.

I print the document from my computer to a printer that supports double-sided printing.  I don't see any option in the file / print window to two face impression, so I put this option on the printer itself by using the [Setup...] button at the bottom of the window.  It works - I'm printing on both sides of sheets of paper.

For the moment, the first section is 3 pages (two blocks spread with the first page, one with the other two).  The next starts of section by number 1 on the third page spread (one page) and continues then a two-page spread - as expected.

That is the problem - the first page of the second section is printing on the back of the last sheet of the first section, rather than on a new sheet from the front - so when I put it in a binder, the odd pages are on the same pages on the right and the left.  Whenever I have reached the end of another section with an odd number of pages, she rotates on itself again.

There is a workaround solution manual I found - browse the document and add a blank page at the end of each section that has an odd number of pages (and check "print blank Pages).  But I have to do every time I feel that I am adding new pages and add/remove blank pages the number at each change of sections.

I can't believe that In Design does not provide a way to make this work correctly, I'm sure a lot of people have had this same situation, and I hope it is something simple that just, I have not been able to understand...

    Help! (Thanks!  B ^)

Frankly, it's a feature of the years, I tried, and I expect a professional page layout application to have. Something on the order of "duplex respect page layout." It would be very useful when printing only part of a document that happens to start with a page of pairs.

I do catalogs in the sections, and each section begins with a left page. When duplex printing a section given, I must print this page first separately and duplex then the rest. Kind of pain and should not be necessary.

  • Print double-sided of odd number of pages

I have Adobe Reader 10.0.2 instalied on my iMac Mac OS with a Canon Pixma iP4200 printer 10.6.7. Since the installation of this version of the player I came across a curious problem with PDF files print double face with an odd number of pages.

For example, a three page PDF printed double-sided file. The first page prints first, then pages 2 and 3 are printed double-sided. This leaves a blank page on the back of page 1 that is INCORRECT and was intrigued. Standard double-sided printing should have pages 1 and 2 back-to-back and page 3 with a blank page on the back.

All my other software on my iMac prints only odd numbered file double face properly. It's only the 10.0.2 player who has this problem and would like a solution.

I found a bug in the player software?

  • HP Deskjet 1510 - Wont print in XP

    Hello

I'm trying to set up a printer on an XP machine 1510. I tried again and again to get it going, but nothing works.

In the current attempt, I installed base from the HP Web site drivers, the drivers are installed correctly and XP can see the printer, this is the default and I checked all the ports and parameters of the driver etc..

However with everything apparently works, if you print a job goes into the print queue, is sitting there for a few seconds, then disappears, nothing prints not, nothing happens, the printer itself doesn't even make a noise.

I tried the printer on my Win7 machine, works perfectly. I tested the USB ports and cable, no problem there.

I have worked through many documents of troubleshooting on the 1510, including the spool of printer etc..

I reinstalled the drivers and the software several times, the same result each time, see the printer XP is by default but when printing nothing happens.

I'm getting closer to return the printer.

    Thank you

  • DeskJet 3050 j610a - printing problems

I have a Deskjet 3050 j610a, who is about to throw in the trash. Print quality has deteriorated so that color printing is catastrophic and I tried everything suggested in the documents on this forum and HP assistance. The ink levels are OK. The paper is OK.

When you browse the suggested fixes, when I get to the "page" to print and scan alignment, the alignment page is not detected.

I completely deleted the software and drivers and re-installed the ' software HP Deskjet full feature driver and "of here.

I am running Windows 7 and now when I go to start > all programs > HP > HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series > HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series, nothing happens.  Same thing when I double-click on the desktop shortcut pointing to 'C:\Program HP HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series\Bin\HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series.exe' - UDCDevicePage begin. Small swirling icon indicating the program trying to start and then nothing.

I can't reach the 'printer' Actions / areas 'Tasks of Maintenance', etc..

It takes too long to fix for a printer under $100.

Should I persist or throw him out?

    Problem solved.

I threw and bought an Epson.

My time is worth more that it took to solve these problems.

I do only material, so I have no answer if the word has a problem.  Another option is to load another copy of the pilot, but call it a 2055duplex and set the properties of the default duplex.  This way when one of your users want duplex just what they need to do is change the printer to the 2055duplex and it should work.  Leave the default value as the simplex driver.

  • HP ENVY 100 D410 CN517A Duplex printing problem

My printer jams every time I try to print on both sides of the paper (as is pull the inner paper after printing the first side). It's the same kind of paper, I am using since I bought it, and it used to work before (so no, this isn't a problem with the paper). The only thing that has changed recently is that I changed the ink cartridges, but I was able to do some work before duplex he screwed up. I am on Windows 7 by the way. Any suggestion as to what is wrong?

KeyllyNYC said it is an instrument in the service of the printer for "cleaning of the paper source.

Go to the configuration Menu (it looks like a key), click on 'Tools' and the fourth option should be "own paper source."

If that doesn't fix things, you can manually clean the rollers inside the machine. Simply open the lid of the scanner, then access of transport cover. In the back, there is a removable access door roller, pull it out. Then with a damp cloth wipe Lint (like a coffee filter or a microfibre cloth) large rubber rolls and let them dry.

When they are dry and closes the printer, try printing again.

    I hope this helps!

  • DeskJet 1510 - Force print 300 dpi?

    Hello

I have a specific requirement to print at 300 dpi. We have a Deskjet 1510 that I intend to use to do this, however the print quality of advanced options setting is "informative" and seems to only print at any DPI are provided by the application that originated the print job. I tried to define quality in project mode, but appears not to have had any effect.

Is there an entry registry or by setting the somewhere (or with use of a specific driver) by default all print at 300 DPI only?

    Thank you

    Hey @warmecha,

I'm sorry to hear that the other pilot fails to print through the RDP session. I thought that we would finally get to go for you. These things can sometimes be stubborn.

Regarding the other HP printers that can do specifically 300 dpi, I made a few inquiries and found 2 models that can suite your needs.

First, I looked into products that had only a 300-dpi option, and unfortunately no printer have this basic capability.

Instead, I found two printers that appear to match or be very close to the Deskjet 2000 capacity.

  • HP Deskjet 2540: Wireless printing problems with HP Deskjet 2540

    Hi all

I have a problem with a printer HP Deskjet 2540 - it prints if I connected a USB cable; However, he refuses to print if I try to print wireless.

I had initially solved this problem when I went into system preferences > printers and Scanners and noticed two 2540 Deskjet series icons in a window titled 'Printers '. I ended up removing one of these icons and set it as a default, which temporarily seems to solve my problem. Now, I see two icons back in the "Printers" menu and my printer refuses to print over my wireless connection.

My printer is connected to my internet connection so I don't think there is a problem here - I also recently installed the software for this printer to make sure it wasn't some kind of driver issue; However, it doesn't give me the permanent solution, that I'm looking.

Any advice? My operating system is OS X Version 10.9.5

Hi @erc002 and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see you are having problems printing duplex.  I would like to help.

Is this problem occurring n a specific program, or occur in multiple ones?

I recommend to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor.

  • HP Office Jet 6000 wireless duplex printing problem

(Note: all printers updates have been made)

Printer works great as duplex, however:

I try to Print Duplex (1/2 letter size pages - portrait booklet with the paper size of 8.5 "x 5.5" ).

When I go to print I select the paper size for brochure (predefined size as shown above), however deselects the duplex option and manual is the only option.

If I reselect Duplex then the size of the paper goes back to 8 1/2 "x 11".

It's normal for duplex printing on non-standard paper?

I know I can do it manually by printing one side at the time, but it defeats the purpose.

Thanks in advance for any answers/ideas.

blperry2001, I responded earlier to a similar post here (http://goo.gl/tcbiM) to explain why some paper sizes are not able to print.

A list of most of the formats accepted for our printers can be found here (http://goo.gl/Bwv10), although according to their use some sizes may not be supported.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 duplex printing problem

I use this printer with my MacBook Air.  I have the duplex unit installed correctly in the printer.  The 'two-sided printing accessory (duplexer) HP is checked in the system preferences - Print & Scan - pilot.  That being said, I don't see an option for double-sided printing.  I go to the file menu and click on print.  I select Copies and Pages in the menu dropdown.  I think I should then see an option for double-sided printing.  The only options available are:

    -Layout

    -Color matching

    -Paper handling

    -Cover page

    -Paper Type/quality

    -Advance printing options

    -Feeding levels

I did something wrong in the Setup program, or is the procedure I use wrong?  How can I get the operation of duplex function?

This is the only printer that I have, so there is no confusion here.

    Thank you

Have you tried the layout in the menu drop down menu?

  • HP Deskjet 2620 duplex printing option is grayed out

I just purchased a HP Deskjet 2620, plugged into my desktop computer running Windows XP.

In the Print Properties window / tab layout, options "Print on both sides" are all grayed out.

So, instead, I try to use the 'Manual Duplex' box in the MS Word print dialog - it will print the first page, then a pop up tells me to put it back and reinsert it into the printer and press 'OK '.  What I'm doing.  But nothing happens.  The window disappears and nothing prints.

    Thank you!
