  What happened several times. (10 - 12 times?)
  Thus, it is not an isolated event.

  I drew with the Brush tool.
  Then I switch to the hand tool to move.
  When I switch back to the Brush tool the tool remains active hand.
  Hand tool indicates that the cursor operation.
  In the toolbar, the Brush tool shows that the selected tool.

  If I try to do a job, the only thing that happens
  moves the sight of the hand tool.

  I have RESET the hand tool.
  I closed the file and restart the software.
  I did all that and restarted the computer.
  The hand tool is the only cursor operation.

  Other tools may show as selected
  but they do NOT work.

  Then as mysteriously as it happened,
  the application resumes its normal operation.
  And I chalked it up to the previous two or three hours of frustration as lost.

  This same thing happened before with the DISPLAY ROTATION tool.
  Suddenly the once used HAND TOOL, remains in operation.
  No other selection tool doesn't work.

  Please save your Photoshop settings (actions, Presets) following How to backup Photoshop settings like a Pro: the Pro Photo Show

  Then reset the Photoshop preferences

  Photoshop > preferences > General >Reset preferences on Quit

• How the query tool is active?

  Hello!

  I am writing a plugin Photoshop to disable itself when certain tools are active.

  I added a reminder to the select event, based on the example of the listener and I am especially pleased with the results.

  Here is my callback function:

  However, I have three problems with this method:

  (1) Photoshop does not send the active tool to plugins at startup.

  (2) in an older version of Photoshop, some tools are not all trigger the callback.

  (3) if the user selects a tool preset, my reminder Gets the string of the class 'toolPreset', any type of tool is selected in the preset.

  So my question is this: is there a better way to get the current active tool?

  Is there by chance a way to query, rather than rely on an event reminder?

  I've looked through the plugin API docs but can't find anything that looked relevant.

  Hello

  So after having received very useful assistance and suggestions from Chris Cox and Tom Ruark, here is what I did.

  (3) I added a new feature that uses the function Get of PSActionControlProcs. With that, I am able to correctly query the active tool when I receive a reminder to select event.

  Note that this will not work for older versions than CS3.

  (2) I can nothing what should I do for this.

  (1) I register an event slowed at startup reminder and call my request during the first callback function. I then cancel the reminder of the idle event. If I see that the request failed, then I guess that it is an older version of PS, and I use the old method for the select event reminder.

• Hidden tools palette? I would like a palette that shows all THE tools, no pop-up windows...

  I am really frustrated (in decades) that Photoshop has tools that don't make sense to me and are so hard to find when I don't want to use.

  Examples (and vice versa):

  Rule under the pipette

  Pencil under the brush

  Under Gradient paint

  Sponge under Burn

  Forms online

  etc.

  I would like a tool palette that displays all THE tools, all the time.

  If someone has done one of them? Can I get a copy?

• Add pulldown 'Units' or 'Rulers' of the toolbar or button in the tool palette?

  I tried (in vain) to add a quick way to change the units of a document in Photoshop.  Ideally, I'd be able to have the units drop in the menu bar so that I can change quickly between the thumb, MM and Pixels.  As a second close, maybe a button in the toolbar to change units.  I know already that you can double-click on the leaders and get the preferences-> units menu is displayed, but I would really like to see the drop-down list on the units in the menu bar.  I tried to customize the tool palette but also to change the options of the menu without result.  This will require a plugin of photoshop?

  Anyone know a good event management tool that integrates well with Eloqua?  The tool would deal with everything associated with the event as: management agenda, registration, monitoring, reports, etc., but integrated with Eloqua in a way that allows you to trigger emails to confirmations, reminders and thank you and facilitates the exchange of information of contact/participant and campaign.    Think of something as integration between Eventbrite and Eloqua (although we are not looking at Eventbrite specifically).

  I use and record the actions all the time and was looking forward to the registration tool when Adobe announced it.  But I found what they delivered was very limited because of the restrictions. I don't like that Adobe disables the registration on my machine tool.

  You have not rooted your panels. Take the Group of panel connector and drag the edge of the screen, until you see a pale blue line. The cursor should reach the edge of the screen. Drop.

  Hi guys, I am a power user of Adobe CS, but new for AE CS5. Simple question: I want my tool palette to be vertical (tool icons vertically stacked in a single column) as the other CS5 applications.

  I can't find a way to do it. Is it just me or the AE UI seems to not fit in with the rest of the ISU to CS?

• No visible tool palette after loading CC

  Whenever I load the Toolbox's PS must be added to the workspace.  I can't believe that it is the default that you can't do much without the tools Panel in PS.  Its becomes very irritating and I looked everywhere to find a way to turn it on at all times.  Its the same thing with the layers panel.  I always used to keep active now as tools I have to go to the bar menu/window and turn it on!

  Go window > workspace > Essentials

  then window > workspace > reset Essentials

  Click on the three dots at the bottom of the toolbar, and then choose Edit toolbar and finally Restore Defaults
