  • DLLSurrogate on Server 2008 STANDARD (NOT R2) does not not a COM 32 bits of the 64-bit VBS script object.

I can't get DLLSurrogate on Server 2008 STANDARD (NOT R2) to load a 32-bit to 64-bit VBS script COM object.

Yes, I tried the Wow6432Node "redirects" and THAT runs on Server 2008 R2, but NOT under the STANDARD!

The PROBLEM is that the VBS Script is called from SCOM (which is 64 bit [SCOM 32-bit on a 64 bit OS is "unsupported"]), who, in turn, must run the application Code to 32-bit (return MOMScriptAPI.PropertyBag [64-bit, in this case])!

Under Server 2008 R2, the technique to create entries of DLLSurrogate under HKCR\Wow6432Node...  Works PERFECTLY, the PROBLEM, this is the verion of the 32-bit code we (still) lack in Production does not support running on R2.

    I can't seem to find a way (once again, on Server 2008 R2 (x 64)) interact in a 64-bit environment / 32-bit mixed!

    Anyone have this working?

I solved the same problem by disabling my connection #2 wireless network adapter (Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter).  I found this by comparing the MAC address listed in the error message with the release of CMD > ipconfig/all.  Noticed that this adapter is continually attempted to communicate with my DHCP server, and I was not still use it.

We are to modernize a client from an old Server 2003 to new hardware Server 2008.
I was wondering if there re 50 CAL to buy for them, we bought or if we can transfer those from the old server.
The former will be decommissioned and formatted.
Please note that I don't want to transfer the CAL of Terminal Server service but rather access normal Server CAL

  • outgoing faxes of Small business server 2008 does not

I have a Wnidows Small Business Server 2008 running in 64-bit. I have 2 US Robotics modems attached to the server with the fax server role installation. Can receive faxes on both machines, I'm unable to send faxes on one or the other. Spoke about this problem at U.S. Robotics and did all the troub; e SHOOTING they asked and their answer is maybe to try to reinstall the Fax Server service. It seems resonable? If I do what are the procedures that I must take inorder to completely remove the Fax Server Service in order to get a clean reinstall of it? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Windows 7 & Server 2008 R2 windows update errors

I have about 40 users all running windows 7, and all have a Windows Update issue as well as the Windows 2008 R2 server. I tried for 2 weeks now to solve this problem, but keep hitting the walls.  I noticed that we are more windows updates notifications as usual so I ran windows update manually and most have appx. 89 updates that should be installed.  Most, if not all of the errors when trying to install, including the server.  One of the common mistakes is 80244019.  I ran the windows update troubleshooting with no luck.  Anyone know of any kind of fix for this problem?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • Œuvres SQL query to MS SQL Server 2008, but not when you use the database kit

    I have this SQL query:

    DECLARE TABLE (@DataTypeTable)
    Name varchar (128).
    TypeID INT)

-Add comma delimeted type data in the temporary table names
    INSERT INTO @DataTypeTable (name)
    SELECT * from WhatWeShouldDoRead.func_Split (@DataTypeTrimmed, ',')

    SELECT the name OF @DataTypeTable

That takes a comma delimited by the string and returns the string as a table.  It works correctly in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.  When I run this as a stored procedure I return nothing.  There are no errors, SQL or otherwise.  I checked that I am connected to the correct database and the stored procedure is responsible without changing any error chain which is reported of this stored procedure (that code is not shown in the example above).  Has anyone seen this problem before, or have experience with SQL/Labview interfaces to tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Convert virtual disk from IDE to SCSI now Server 2008 does not start

    Hi all

I hope that one of you guys can solve my problem.

I'm new to vmware and have managed to convert my 2008 physical server to a virtual server, but when this virtual disk has been set to IDE, I read that I need to use SCSI for better performance then I attributed a new virtual disk to my server and clone the IDE hard drive on the SCSI disk using EASEUS disk copy software.

After I cloned the drive I removed the IDE hard disk but my server continues to display the BSOD 0x0000007b error (inaccessible boot volume). I can't start normally or through safe mode. If I try to use the recovery mode no drives appear.

I use the LSI Logic SAS controller type and have tried the parallel LSI Logic Controller without result.

Is it possible to fix my guest operating system, without having to reinstall?

    Thank you very much
