  • HP w2338h monitor turns is not on!

my HP w2338h monitor does not turn. My computer is turned on, blue button, loud noise, the whole enchilada. I shook the mouse, clicking aimlessly, then typed the SPACEBAR until the speakers told me to stop. I pressed the power button on the screen. He turned and said "monitor going to sleep". • w2338h monitor w/vertical of the Green and pink lines

My monitor has started to display a red vertical line on the right edge in the area of the gadget, it turned to rose, and a new line is there now it's Green.  My monitor has 10 days.  I'm still learning, but I can't seem to find any info on this subject.

After two e-mail HP support and following their checklist, they called me last night and we crossed the slip AGAIN.  They "take control" of my computer, I think varify that I got the vertical pinstriping.  They are sending me a new monitor and when I get, I send my monitor with - in 3 days.  Eelle took my credit card information.  If they do not receive my monitor during the designated time period, then they will charge me for the monitor.  I was not too keen on this point, because it makes me nervous about the period of time for the return.

Problem: late for my annual consultation of AVATAR on Bluray. Suddenly, Blu - Ray is no longer 'works or bed. " I remember that it works last some time in mid-2012. I hate a HD 5750 both as a player BluRay 3 years.

Attempt of solution (s): heard the analog sunset. Bought a brand new BD Drive about a month ago (September 2013) (see above) and installed it with 7 freshly from the 64-Bit window wiping. HDMI cable is plugged. Each driver is up-to-date (YES! I'm sure!). Display the default HDMI. Even with disconnected VGA, HDMI to HDMI output in does not work when you restart.

EDIT: I've heard theories of a defective HDMI port in my monitor... My argument is that he has not moved within 4 years, I got it and if something were to go (which he did not), it's nothing that a simple keyboard Cleaner couldn't fix. It has not folded or damaged.

Then... After all those months of research and everything... everything that...

My friend and I were dooped last night it STILL didn't work. I watched the HDMI, he given and which was already plugged in and noticed something that I'm stupid to not have noticed before. However, there is no block of interference... Through all his equipment and caught me a HDMI cable with alto and blocks of interference... works.

Sorry for wasting time! Problem solved!

  • HP w2338h Monitor Sound questions?

Just brought this monitor and I'm absolutely loving, apart from the fact that he has managed to turn off my speakers.

Running Windows 7 Ultimate by the way.

The way I put it in place until I brought the home monitor was Subwoffer plugged the power, and then his (green at both ends) cable plugged into the PC... When I plugged the new monitor it shows my speakers as being not connected and does not give me the option of using two different HD devices... When I plug the audio cable (PC monitor) it tells me I have speakers connected, but I can't not all sounds to play.

    Edit: Nevermind, found the error!

  • Windows 7 and w2338h monitor

    Hello-

I just upgraded my computer to Windows 7 from Vista, the computer has an ATI Radeon 4350 graphics card, after the upgrade, I can't get windows to use the real estate on my monitor. The resolution is set to the max1920 x 1080.

    Help!

OK, so if you go in the Catalyst Control Center by right-clicking on the desktop, there is a scaling of the options that you can use across all real estate on the screen. If you hear something different from HP support, please let me know.

  • HP w2338h

I have "hp w2338h" monitor. When I turned off the computer, I can't put the monitor off. When you press the power button the message I get is "Power Button lockout". The manual I have does not depict this condition. It seems that a week ago, my computer froze and I had to turn off the power to it. The screen was not off. After that I tried different ways to boot my computer, but none of them has corrected this problem. I started my computer having the power to the monitor provided after the computer starts and completed the closure of session and closing down, I started the computer after feeding the monitor and then complete closing of session and closing down. I have two computers using this monitor. I disconnected the cable for a computer and then through the same procedure with the video only to a computer connected to the monitor. None of them allows me to turn the monitor off using the power button. I have to unplug the power cord. Any solution to this problem will be gratly appreciated?

I had already done the reset of the monitor and held the menu button for more than one minute before posting my problem. None worked. As suggested by the eminent teacher and if I well understood, I disconnected the monitor power cord and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Then I plugged the power cable to the output. It works no more. Then, I removed the cable video monitor by leaving the power cord plugged into the power supply and pressed and held down the power button. The magic that happened within 25 seconds. Thanks for the solution. Now, I don't have to unplug the power cord from the power supply.

  • monitor turns off not by the switch at the top. power cord seems loose at the back of the monitor. just need a

I have a hp w2338h monitor, running Windows 7 and I am unable to turn off the monitor through the top switch. The power cord seems loose in its connection to the monitor. Do I just a new cord or something else is necessary?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Try to push the power cord firmly upward.  It should not move when it is completely inserted.

Try a reset of the monitor. Unplug the power cord from the monitor and hold the power button of the monitor for 30 to 60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and it lights up.

  • Monitor the issue after Windows update

I installed the Windows updates today, and after installing and restarting, the saturation of the color on my monitor is out of line. There is intense color saturation and it made all my files photo as well.

Running windows 7 and a HP w2338h monitor.

Thanks for any help on this

    fifthboss,
You should look through the updates installed to see if there was an update to the video card.  I would then check with the manufacturer of your video card for the latest driver.  If you just updated to the most recent and feel it affected the color then you can restore the previous driver.  Then you can contact the manufacturer of the video card on the driver and they know the issue and see if they are still aware and have a fix. • When the Windows 7 drivers are going to be published (model w2338h)

I have a similar problem to many people here.  I have a new PC with Windows 7 (64-bit) and Vista driver just does not.  After nearly 2 hours on the phone with the support of last night, we finally got to be recognized as the w2338h monitor "Generic Monitor" but it solves nothing.  I still can't get the good resolutions appear in the drop-down window.  Therefore, the image is slanted and after awhile, it hurts just to look at.

My belief is that the only solution is to get a true windows 7 driver for this monitor.  Does anyone have an idea when they come out of the updated drivers?

I am happy with HP right now - NO WAY!

If its solved... had to buy the new HDMI cable (another $30, but that that you do...)

Seems there is a problem with this monitor and the VGA cable, but when you go to the HDMI cable it takes care of itself.

    Thanks for the help

  • HP w2338h buttons not woking

I have my HP w2338h monitor hooked up to my HP Pavilion Elite desktop computer. I also hung on my x - box via HDMI. I would use the buttons before switching between sources without turning off one just for the monitor switch. None of the buttons before you do anything. The volume, menu, select, Source, NOTHING. I tried to download the drivers who seemed installed properly, but nothing has changed. It has always been like that, but I'm just now trying to figure out why they do not work.

    Thank you!

    Geovaa,

Hold the power button while the monitor is unplugged drains the energy stored in the monitor.

Looks like a loser for the buttons connection.

Let me know if you have any questions.
